Lovely nurses and staff, but was unable to give a full pint, not sure what happens to the blood I gave.

Well let me start by saying they dont use leaches anymore that was a relief. Of course back in the day it ws common pratice but time change. Ive been a donor for 30 years so ive seen a change or two now its very relaxing and the staff are for want of a better word brill. So dont be shy you never know when you might need some claret a drop of the red stuff you know .

There was almost no waiting time. I booked my appointment, arrived and booked in, and was then in the donation chair within 5 minutes. My donation took about 20 minutes in total. Then a nice cuppa tea and some biscuits to finish with :-)

The staff are great. Couldn't be much easier. It's a pity that the centre isn't open more often on a Saturday as its only on the weekend I can get there.

Staff were fantastic, really put you at ease and got rid of any nervous you have. It's a pretty simple procedure, my first donation. Didn't really know what to expect but every process was explained very well. Planning a lot more donations and hopefully platelets too

Recently been for my 10th appointment at the Liverpool donor centre. As with all my other appointments the team were as organised and as helpful as ever. Always polite, friendly and grateful. It's a really nice environment to donate in and full of lovely people.

My second visit to the centre to donate - I'd always gone for the church hall route in the past, but couldn't make the times available locally earlier in the year. Donating by appointment in the centre is much smoother and quicker. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, but also efficient. I combine it with a bit of retail therapy in Liverpool :)

My 18th year donating here. I CANNOT fault the nurses and admin staff. I feel like they are friends and are always grateful, helpful and supportive. More people should donate and this is the place in Liverpool to do it.

I went for my first ever donation yesterday. It was a pre-booked appointment, which happened to fall the day after the terrible terrorist attack in Manchester. A couple of things to note :

two teams worked none stop throughout the day.

the lady who took my blood was meant to be on annual leave this week, but when she heard what had happened came into work.

all the staff were lovely & everything were done with a smile.

I was a 5pm appointment & I was told that they overwhelmed by how many people had walked in to donate. They were also delighted in the amount of young people had come to donate.

lovely staff & yes I will be back with my O Negative!

well done all the staff in the centre! Once again NHS staff go above & beyond the call of duty!

after this horrible tragedy, it restores your faith in humanity - well done to all the staff, who must have gone home exhausted & of course to all those people who walked in from the street, to do their bit

I donated blood yesterday at Liverpool donation centre. All the staff were lovely and kept me feeling very relaxed the whole time as I was a bit nervous and anxious with it being my first time. I will definately be donating again and will hopefully continue every 6 months.

User

I absolutely proud of donning blood. I'm so disappointed when I can't.

Blood centre is fantastic. Staff are always friendly, helpful & courteous and I've never

had any problems.

Keep up the great work

Great place to donate blood all the staff are friendly and put you at ease, this is my 3rd donation in the past 12 months and the nurses have always been amazing. Only gripe would be that booking the first appointment for 8.20am it would be nice if they opened the doors a little earlier so you're not left standing outside if you arrive 5-10 minutes early.

User

Friendly staff and quick service. I am a regular donor and it was good to see that more staff had been brought in to deal with the demand expected. Staff always great to talk to. Thanks for all the good work to you during this trying time in the NHS. Xx

Been donating for many years in various locations around the country and always find the experience a pleasant one. The staff in Liverpool are always helpful chatty and pleasant.

User

Amazing as always. Very professional it takes less than half an hour and the staff are always lovely. Love that you an use the app now too it makes it even easier to book 😊

User

1st time and everything was straight forward, friendly staff but you at ease, in and out in less than an hour

The only problem is no parking so either take public transport or leave plenty of time to find somewhere to park

User

18 pints so far and I will find the closest blood bank in the UK when it's time to donate it was Liverpool this time .

My daughter has a rare blood group, she regularly gives blood and gets frequent invitations from NHSBT Service.

After a long hard training day as a Merseyside Fire and Rescue recruit she arrived 5 minutes late for her appointment and was turned away .....surely a little flexibility on time needs considering ..... someone may need this blood .....
