Nick Bolton Fitness Description

Nick is a level 4 personal trainer with a BSc (Hons) Strength and conditioning degree. He has been trained as a Royal Marine Commando, and has worked as a consultant for large health and supplement companies, a fitness model and competitor, has done photo shoots for Diesel, appeared in men's fitness magazine, and has competed in Crossfit and bodybuilding competitions.

Training philosophies

The mind is the primary focus.
Training is preparation for the real thing.
Outcome-based training: Train for an objective.
Training should be functional with a high degree of transferability.
Movements, not muscles - Transferable training does not isolate muscles.
Power-to-weight ratio: You must carry the engine.
Form and function. Look good, feel good and be able to move.
Train all energy systems. Emphasise the important, but not at the expense of others.
Nutrition is the foundation.
Recovery is key.
