Absolutely great grading today ! Always proud of our students but today was outstanding . A huge thank you to all our SenseiŌĆÖs who took the time and trouble to attend and support all the students - you really do make a difference and we really do appreciate it .

MIYABI RYU JU-JITSU Interclub Competition Date: Sunday 14th October Time: Registration: 12:30am, First Bout: 12:50am, Close 3:30pm Venue: Ladybridge Sports Centre ŌĆō Main Sports Hall (Downstairs)... No Decision bouts ŌĆō Everyone is a winner! There will be no winner or loser so that entrants can develop their combat skills in a less heated and less competitive environment and are encouraged to show control of emotion, discipline and respect for the martial art. A Trophy will be awarded to every successful competitor! There will be additional ŌĆśBest BoutŌĆÖ trophies! Rounds are set at 3 x 1.5 min (2 mins for over 14ŌĆÖs) in the following disciplines: 1 x continuous Kumite round (Standing strike, semi-contact, U16ŌĆÖs no head contact) 1 x Standing Randori round (Throws and take-downs from a standing grip) 1 x Ne Waza round (PinŌĆÖs, hold-downs and locks from grounded position) Bouts will be matched firstly on Weight, then Ability and lastly Age The event is to take place on two separate matted areas (staff permitting) over a 3 hour period starting with the lightest entrants first. Entrants are free to leave after their bout but are encouraged to stay and watch Spectators are free entry and are welcome, but must not enter the mat space at any point, they can cheer on and help provide a good atmosphere by supporting entrants, please show respect for all.
