It’s simply time to listen, adjust and follow recommendation from experts. Oh... and time to wash your hands because if you haven’t been doing that anyway, you’re just nasty. - - I will be highlighting to my clients that it’s also not time to ‘sack it off’. Times like this are where support and expertise comes in to its own. Be rest assured that the aim is to minimise disruption to your progress by making any necessary amendments should your gym close, you need to self isolate or things get a little more ‘locked down’. - - Will it be ‘ideal’? No, absolutely not. It is however a damn sight better to keep doing something, than nothing at all. - - I’ll be ensuring all my guys have appropriate instructions and amended programmes for any situation that may arise. As for 121 sessions, it’s business as usual until we’re told otherwise and I’ll be making sure everyone has what they need to keep the environment as low risk as possible. - - Home workouts, adjusting food intake and accommodating for a disrupted routine are all things we can manage to the best of our ability and exactly what I’ll help you to do. WHAT IF I TOLD YOU 🤔... - - You could look SO different at the same bodyweight if you just commit to the process. -... - Sounds ideal, right? That’s where @james_clarkpt is at. The longer term goal of continuously developing a bigger and leaner physique has been the aim here and initially saw us drop body fat to an efficient place where we could then place the primary focus on gaining lean muscle. This takes us to here. 97kg in both photos but a substantial difference in body composition. - - What I don’t see guys doing is letting self get over the fact you have to leave your current physique to improve on it again and again. It’s a process. - - WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? - - That now we’ve spent time laying these foundations, we’ve got so much more to show for it. This dieting/fat loss phase will be so much more efficient and produce a much more aesthetic look, meaning he’s going to look the best he ever has, ready to capture it with a photoshoot in June. Taking a day off from training my one to one clients at the gym is a rarity, but, had to be done 🙋🏽‍♂️. -... - Getting ill is one of those things that is just completely out of our control. We can keep healthy with good nutrition, lifestyle and supplementation but it’s going to happen. I guess we can just help how quickly we bounce back from it and how often it hits us. - - WHAT I SEE FAR TOO OFTEN IS people getting so frustrated when something like this ‘gets in the way’. They get so emotionally wound up by having a few days or a week or so recovering from it (which is mega important) where they haven’t eaten as they should or haven’t trained, that they convince themselves there’s no point trying again and that they’ve lost momentum and need to find that motivation again... - - ... well, if that’s the way you let yourself look at it, there’s ALWAYS going to be something that you LET get in the way and stop you. Are you shredded with muscles popping all over the place after a week of training? No (If you are shout me, because that would be great). So why would a week off have such a negative impact to the point it’s not worth getting back to it? - - If getting the motivation back is the issue, you need to stop ‘waiting’ for something to give you it. The feeling of progressing and moving forward is what gives you the motivation to continue, either that or simply wanting it enough. Own the fact that it’s on you to motivate yourself and give yourself the opportunity to feel it. Take action. Just get a workout in. Don’t think, just go and do it. I can guarantee after that first workout back, you’ll feel so much more ‘back in the game’. Just don’t leave it too long after you’re feeling better. The longer you leave after have some well needed time to recover, the more daunting the task can seem. - - If you’re not well. Rest up. It’s needed and it’s ok. But don’t let it change your mindset or what you were planning on doing to get you towards your goals. What’s the other option? Do nothing, ever. Exactly... sounds silly when you put it like that.
