A while ago I was commissioned to write pages to be included in 2 old family bibles which were being rebound. How fabulous to see the photos of the books restored to their best, with the family lists now legible and updated. It was an unusual commission including conversations with the binder to make sure that the paper was just right in colour and weight. (The customer was very happy ... he said "Janet made us feel comfortable and at ease before we placed our order and she did not disappoint. The job she did was brilliant. It was better than we might ever have imagined. ") 😇

What a wonderful day learning the basics of calligraphy with such an excellent teacher. After years of thinking my writing is hopeless I'm now inspired to keep going! Thank you, Janet :-)

Janet is a brilliant teacher if learning calligraphy is what you want and as an experienced professional calligrapher her bespoke artwork and calligraphic design expertise is second-to-none. From beautiful yet simple cards to poems to complicated family trees - her work is eminently displayable.

Janet is so easy to work with, she is prompt with replies to enquiries. I only had vague ideas of what I wanted and had no idea of what was possible! Janet's gentle suggestions were helpful but I always felt I had control of the project. The finished pieces are beautiful.

Janet has just created a family tree as a 70th birthday present for my father and it was a truly special gift to be able to give. Beautifully put together with a wonderful hand painted crest. She couldn't have been easier to work with - responsive, collaborative and with great guidance on how to present the relevant parts of a vast hardcopy set of information. Highly recommended.
