One Vision Media is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation that provides accredited courses in media production for people with learning disabilities

One Vision was established in October 1998 through a free speech group. The group found it easier and much more effective getting their point across on video. Taking away the live presentation allowed people to relax and work at their own pace. The whole process was enjoyed so much we decided to set up a non-profit organisation.

One Vision has been awarded funding from the Big Lottery fund allowing us to operate 5 days a week and employ 5 staff.
There are 15 members who run the management committee all of whom have a learning disability.
One Vision works within the Wigan Borough and has produced videos for free speech groups around Wigan.
We have produced videos for Wigan Social Services about the complaints procedures and an induction video for new employees.

We also write, produce, film and edit our own short film productions.
Our short films include 'The Other Way To Amarillo', 'Pop Hits Idol', 'Car 67', 'Perceptions', 'Alice', 'Lights Camera Action' and our most recent short film 'Glory'

Through all our activities we aim to improve confidence and self esteem and enable people with learning disabilities to lead full and purposeful lives within their community.
