Just taking a moment to remember long-time Oulton Park doctor Gordon Falconer who has sadly passed away. Gordon was a fixture on the Oulton Park medical team for over fifty years and our thoughts are with those who knew him best.

User

fantastic

User

What a place to go and take photo's me and a friend go every time there is a race on.

User

Oulton park is a great day out. It gets 10/10 from me. Yesterday I went for the first time with my husband for BRSCC and from start to finish was a great day we walked all over the park and was very impressed with the food and how clean everything is. Viewing was great from all over the track. Racing was great to I will be going back again.

User

Lovely location and I love the track. I've been there a few times, and it has always been a good day out. What I love, is how close you can get to the track, so you can hear the roar of the engines fly past. Love it.

User

I would have to give it a 5 star from a marshaling point of view only for that fact that I can get closer to the racing and access to most areas if not all. But through a spectators eyes in would only give it 1 star simply for the fact that it's way to expensive to camp for the weekend. £80 plus entrance fee for the gold cup weekend was a disgrace to be fair but hey Ho that's how people make their millions I suppose. But from a marshaling perspective I would give it 5 stars.

User

I was there for the Racing School yesterday and drove an Audi R8 V10 and a Lamborghini Gallardo. It was an amazing experience and the event was run professionally and smoothly. The instructors were excellent - positive and reassuring and actually encouraged me to "go for it". There are not enough laps to familiarise yourself with the cars or the tracks so it does need this kind of quick tuition and encouragement to get up to speed. The cars were all beautifully prepared and the experience was far better than I expected. The only criticism I have is that the crash helmets were not in the best condition didn't seem to have been cleaned after being used previously. No liners were offered so I feel there are hygiene issues around this. I have been to karting track and they were offered at £2.00. This is in complete contrast to everything else at the venue - toilets were spotless and sparkling, the cafe was clean and tidy, with good food at reasonable prices and the exterior areas were receiving constant maintenance throughout the day. A great venue and a great experience I would recommend wholeheartedly.

User

I just want to say thank you so much for Saturday 7th July 2018

When my partner proposed to me on the track.

Thank you to all the staff who give my partner the heads up to ask my hand in marriage.

And not to mention my partner had a brilliant time on track.

But thank you very much for making my day it was a dream come true thank you xx

User

I have attended a few car track days now and loved every one of them the most recent in Feb 2017 its a great circuit and Marshalled well, its fantastic that you can take your car out and put it through its paces.

User

I first visited Oulton Park at the end of the 70s for the touring cars or Group One as it was then called, since then I visit the venue two or three times annually. Since MSVR has taken over running Oulton Park, a lot of money has been spent on improving the circuit and amenities for spectators. All in all, is a great place to visit and long may it continue

User

I attended the recent bsb meeting at oulton park . Although I have given you five stars , those are for the marshals , and the staff of chequers cafe , who you can't fault for their care and helpful attitude , espielly the marshals . However ther a couple of points I would to bring up about oulton park itself.

While the disabled car park is in a good position to watch the action for everything that goes on track , it's a heck of a walk away from the cafe and the trade stands .

If you have some mobility , it's along walk for us . Sometimes you feel trapped up there, would it possible for a courtesy buggy that we could have access to for this purpose please , we don't mind paying a small fee for the use of it.

We can't do the pit walks either , because it's more of a Free for all with a lot of pushing and shoving, if your not steady it's frightening so we don't get to see or take part in pit walks.

Also lately a lot of abled bodied people are coming into our car park and sitting in front of our cars , the marshals try to stop it , but these people don't take much notice can you put a stop to this please.thank you for reading this ,and I hope that you could help us in these points ,

User

Had to visit The medical infield staff this morning with my son who had hurt his knee. What a fantastic service! A credit to the circuit....even got him a freebie from the bmw tent. Thank you

User

Had an amazing day like always for the British touring car championships on Sunday.. roll on next year

User

Had a rally experience day had the best time of my life would strongly recommend it to family and friends and staff was lovely, definitely do it again than you to Alex allingham for giving me a such a brilliant time.

User

Had a great day there yesterday. Had paid extra for access to the Knickerbrook grandstand and was really pleased to find it gave us access to a stoned up parking area (we got there for 8am so got a prime spot) via a separate entrance. Saw some great rallying action from a great viewing position in the grandstand. Had a pizza (from the van behind the Foggarty Moss Center) which was excellent. We stayed for 8 of the 9 stages so didn’t see the fireworks or stunt show but felt £23 each for nearly 9 hours of rallying gave fair value and plan to attend again next year. My only gripe would be not having a hot drink van by the Knickerbrook grandstand - maybe something to think about for the future

User

Had a fantastic day yesterday. £15 for a ticket to see 9 stages of rallying, fireworks and a bonfire. Great value if you ask me! What suprised me was how family friendly it was.

First time at Oulton Park and I will definitely be back again.

What made the day was being able to ridealong with Paul Swift in the stunt show!

Not bad for a guys 1st experience of racing!

The only thing I can pull the place on and it is only minor, not having a cash machine and getting out of the place was like whacky races.

Amazing day, we will be back but next time with the kids.

User

Great place to have on the doorstep, with friendly staff and interesting events.

User

Great family day for special rally stage and fireworks, can't recommend enough, son age 10 and daughter age 7 loved it . Great value for money and clean facilities. Fabulous stunt show and fireworks We will be back for this event next year and many other events in between.

User

Going back to my childhood I'd hear the noise of high powered bikes or cars, from my home it was about an hour peddling just to sit against the wall and hear the sounds, or stand on the bridge and feel an F5000 go under my feet. From those days I've seen the progress. Now with all the restrictions on noise and all that, the true spirit is still there! It's my kinda place, Oulton Park has its history it's memories and yet in my opinion stacks up against many.

User

Fantastic go for novice track days with motor bikes with Simon carden everything always spot on and everyone helpful also go various advents always fantastic experience

User

Fantastic Day as always at Oulton awesome circuit xx

User

Excellent veiws all eound the track. Camping area clean and tidy. Friendly welcoming atmosphere lovely food.

User

Brilliant weekend at the BSB. So good were going back this year

User

Best circuit around. Watched the BTCC here and Time Attack this year so far and brilliant both times. Well organised and great circuit all round.

User

Amazing day out for all the family. Only started going this year and am disabled but the staff and volunteers go out there way to help make your day special. Fireworks were a great way to end the season. Can't wait dor 2017 to start.

User

Absolutely love this place, had an amazing day today at the Rally and Fireworks, can't wait for next year!

User

Absolutely fantastic circuit! Staff are great and very friendly! My first experience and will definitely not be the last!!

Will be booking another track day very very soon!

User

Absolutely amazing day, fantastic stages, amazing team of marshals, Paul Swift’s Show and a firework display on top!!!! This is my 4th visit to Oulton Park and they just keep getting better.... one thing I would consider is more trade stands but besides that I take my hat off to MSVR for all your hard work. Thank you again for an amazing day and experience!

User

My favorite circuit in the country.A great circuit to watch racing, fantastic facilities, but whoever had that blue sky moment & put that fence & gate up at on the inside of Druids ?

You have ruined one of the best viewing spots at Oulton Park. Surely the fence & gate could have gone up nearer the rally course where the marshals campsite is?

Yes we we're disappointed about it but we still had a great weekend & we'll be back in September .

User

I love it but really needs a tunnel from campsite to stalls etc. Venue is losing money from campers who have a 20 minute walk .I would have spent more money but didn't fancy 20 minute walk there then 20 minute walk back

User

Been here several times over the past year. Lovely track. No problems parking. Each time I've gone I've got more disappointed with what's on offer. 1st time there was great racing and fabulous stalls. I went Saturday for the minifest and was very disappointed. Racing was great, but with all the hype and adverts I was expecting a lot more to do. Minimal stalls, nothing for the kids, very disappointing.

User

Attended for a Junior Driver event as a Christmas present for our 11 year old.

Driving a 'Mini' around the Rally Stages with 2 other kids and their instructor. Showed them all the basics for learning to drive including stop/start, roundabouts and junctions. Seemed to take up a fair bit of time that may have been better used just driving. A couple if good vantage points around the track to take your own pictures, as well as the option to buy pictures/USB. Wind was piercingly cold when in the open.

Overall our son thoroughly enjoyed his afternoon and reckons he's the world's best driver. A good experience.

User

We bought my dad a supercar package then as a suprise paid for the in car video , as we were paying we were told they didnt film in the ferrari california but could in the r8 in which we said was the v10 . All booked and paid we told my dad who was very excited to be gettin the vide he then came to get in the r8 and was told there is no camera in it so we couldnt get any videos of him at all so am very dissapointed that the staff didnt inform us of this yet still took the money . We got a refund but all we got was oh the guy musnt have known sorry which isnt really a great appology when he was so looking forward to watching his vieo back . He enjoyed driving the cars and the instructors were great he said, so this was just a sour note to a great morning

User

May BSB weekend. Used to be the best circuit on the calendar, however all the best viewing spots have been ruined by putting fence lines further back (appeciate a concern for safety, but on the inside of a corner???) or, as in this weekend, totally cut off (Druids, for Marshall camping, one of the best vantage points and nobody using it/to use it). There is an old saying; if it's not broke don't fix it. It's been fixed, and now it's broke. Poor

User

Didn’t seem very organised. first time there for fireworks! Don’t think I will bother next year... everything was delayed! Kids bored and freezing cold. Everything is way over priced too. You live and learn though I suppose.

BUT... and a very big BUT The mk2 escorts were cool as fo0k !

User

Wouldn't know what it is like as we have been stuck in the horrendous traffic going into it for an hour and a half so far . At this rate we will be in just in time to go home ! Waste of money

User

We took our little girls to watch the fireworks. £30 for 2 adult, let them go on a go cart ride & half way through found it was £4 each. Hook a duck £3 each for pathetic one go & a 50p piece of rubbish. We stood waiting for ages for the fireworks and clearly they had a few problems. We had to leave because out girls had enough & were frozen. £5 hot chocs & £7 on 2 tiny chips.

So over £50 for a pretty crappie display with poor sound organisation. We won't be back & won't recommend when we have a much better free local event with a decent fair. Really disappointed we tried something different this year.

User

I've voted with my feet, and will no longer attend if nothing changes.

It used to be the best circuit on the BSB calendar, but sadly no longer. As a weekend camper, you are bullied into bed at midnight by the fun police, who don't seem to understand that we use most, if not all, of our annual leave on our attendance at BSB, and don't appreciate the way we are treated. Last season we were threatened with ejection from site because we were chatting in our own awning after curfew.

On top of this, "improvements" to the track mean that a lot of popular viewing points are now either more restrictive, or simply not accessible at all.

RIP Oulton Park. A once great weekend. Killed by beaurocracy...
