What is your intent when you train? (SWIPE LEFT REAL QUICK) I mean REAL INTENT...which muscles in the muscle group that youāre training are you trying to build up to further develop your physique?? Basic anatomical knowledge for me personally is and has always been a must when bodybuilding & training...for me clearly I was lacking width and upper back muscle (consisting RIGHT across the board, rear deltoids, rhomboids, infraspinatus, mid and upper trapezius) and I built my b...ack (still not good enough) by knowing what exercises (and just as importantly what āpositioningā my limbs need to be in) to work specific areas to get me specific results and in the long term a huge overall result. I didnāt go uni to learn these fundamentals or take a ābiomechanics course etcā to learn, we are all capable of learning and (more importantly) implementing knowledge, take time out and learn so you can progress yourself massively...there really arenāt ANY short cuts but with knowledge and implementation you can get to your destination faster and more effectively! Beltless 220kg for 9...the goal on this day was 200kg for 10 reps but I breezed that...very pissed I couldnāt get my hips through on the last rep here!!! The goal here is to get my reps way up on deadlifts so I was sat at about a 3-5 rep amount average when doing these now Iāve bumped it WAY up to 10 reps on average...more muscle is built that way. (Iāll occasionally have some fun and test my 1-5 rep max) Baby steps. Every day. So with rows remember you can change the positioning of your elbows (in terms of abduction away or addiction towards the body) and this will work different parts of your back. If you find you arenāt making progress with your actual back muscle development try and execute the movement with your elbows abducted further away from the body to hit that upper back that a lot of people miss and find hard to build (like me ...I find it CERY HARD to build but itās coming!) Dumbbell pullovers X push ups Pullovers work so many muscles throughout the movement!: abdominals, lats, pecs... The best way to implement this exercise is to put it towards the end of working the specified muscles you want to work...for example this was at the end of me working my chest with other exercises such as dumbbell bench press and cable flyes. This was an EXCELLENT way to stretch/engage the pecs from a different angle!...also gotta slap in some push ups at the end of each set...make things harder for a better return! Here is a real post. Had a serious chance to reflect on my approach to life in general recently and realised Iām merely existing...not actually going towards an Ideal as I once was...yes sure Iāve now got my finance in order, business doing well but Iām not feeling FULFILLED AS I ONCE WAS...maybe I let the average mindset infect me aka āmoney money money with no passionā...safe to say Iāve walked that road for a full year...but funds does NOT equate to happiness...itās secur...ity in this world yes but not happiness...anyone that says otherwise is empty inside...canāt buy your way out of depression (I donāt have it but itās true). PURPOSE EQUALS HAPPINESS...sacrificing my soul for a purpose makes me happy...normality is depressing...Got client who are WEALTHY but they in all serious say that happiness doesnāt come from funds and a āpointless grindā...itās a goal...and those conversations resonated with me so deeply...it reminded me of how happy I was when I was competing yet so broke i could barely afford to catch the bus and sometimes I couldnāt lol...but I was happy...I was happy walking 1-2 hours to and from the gym just to train as I had a goal and my life circumstance was a mere annoyance in the grand scheme of things for me. I sure want to be on another financial level absolutely as finance brings about power and control for us in this world (trust DONT be naive lol) but I want to be chasing GOALS...NO...CHASING/LIVING MY PURPOSE AS I DO IT. I realise I need to be purposeful with my life or I feel empty on a daily basis...donāt just āchase the bag š°ā chase purpose too...trust me...youāll be happier and healthier. Iām going to push this physique to the level I said I would back when I was a 60kg bag of bones. Iāll have different purposes with my life I KNOW it but for now...this is it. Yeah...peace āš¾šš¾šŖš¾ā

Drop sets 101 in my world. 1st drop YOU MUST REACH THE NUMBER OF REPS YOU HIT IN YOUR PREVIOUS SETS so if you done 15 reps for 4 sets on the 1st drop TRY YOUR BEST TO HIT 15. On all other drop sets just go till the muscle fails you mechanically!! FOR EXAMPLE. Here I was doing sets of 12 reps (4 sets) on the 1st drop my aim and sole purpose in that time is to try my ABSOLUTE BEST to get 12 reps...after that every drop you should be running on fumes and essentially āWILL POW...ERINGā your way through the remaining drops.
