Hello!!!
We're looking forward to seeing you at Choir on Tuesday NEXT week (24th September). In order to make this a real community choir we are looking for your input as to the songs you'd like to sing. We've a few ideas to start us off, but we'd love to hear from you what future songs you'd like. (Obviously we can't guarantee that your song will be picked, but let's see what the popular genres and artists are!)

The backpack project - Mary’s Meals - is a simple way to help children from chronically poor families to get to school in countries like Liberia and Malawi. Very often the children we support don’t even have basic things like pens and notepads to help them to make the most of their education. You can help solve this problem by filling an old school bag or backpack with some everyday educational items. Along with the free school meal that Mary’s Meals provides the backpacks... we send will enable children to attend school and gain an education that can help them escape from poverty when they grow up.
Items for the backpacks include:-
A backpack, small ball (like a tennis ball), spoon (preferably metal); A notepad, pencils, crayons, colouring pencils/pens, sharpener, eraser, ruler, pencil case; A towel, soap, toothpaste, toothbrush (non battery/electric); Shorts or skirt and t-shirt, or dress and a pair of flip flops.
Remember- value range and good quality second hand items are great!!
The closing date for backpacks is 27th September.
You do not have to do a complete backpack - donations of any of the above items is most welcome.
Thank you for your continued support.

As our teachers and children ready themselves for the start of the school year, we pray that the past summer holiday has left you feeling rested and ready to face the work in the months ahead. May this term be filled with a balance of work and play. For all the children starting school for the very first time, may you feel safe and happy in your new schools and may this next adventure be full of endless possibilities.

Some pictures from today's gathering! Thanks so much to all those involved with making food, serving food, sorting the gazebos and out door activities for the children and everyone who helped to clean up afterwards. We are blessed with dedicated volunteers!
