So we see another change in the Conservative administration at South Ribble, this comes with another Cabinet. The new Leader will be Cllr Mary Green, it seems she is more popular in their group than the ex-Leader who presided over the Licensing Issues a couple of years ago. The Independents have disbanded and Cllr Wharton has now crawled back to the Conservatives, to be honest, we think it may be for personal reasons, so we have been informed. He has removed many of his posts... on FB and Twitter, I guess, part of the deal. Meanwhile, the Labour Group remains strong, we have achieved so much over the last year. Cllr Titherington and Cllr Patten have both served residents well as the Mayors of South Ribble and Penwortham respectively. We are now out introducing our Parliamentary Candidate Kim Snape as well as addressing the issues you face everyday. There is not much good news from County either, pot holes are not being addressed properly due to the Administration being manipulative with policies, cuts to PCSO's, the Youth Offending Team, Families, Advocacy and libraries. They may be opening libraries and spending hundreds of pounds on signs promoting them selves with that, yet the budget for books has been limited, and another reorganisation for the Libraries teams.
