Meet Flo! She's one of the protected turkey's down on the allotment that we've decide to use for our kitchen... We shall be buying locally grown fruit, flower's and veg from Tony at the Noah experience. He also brought us homemade strawberry wine and some pretty flower heads which Ruth added to a lemon cake... If you're interested in supporting this new venture by buying from Tony just send us a message.

Well here we are! Happy birthday to us lot... Against all the odds { which are many } we've managed to survive our first year in a town that didn't want us. ;-) Thank you so much to all our loyal customers who've become part of the family and the never-ending stream of people making the journey into St Helen's from far and wide just to visit us. Without your support we wouldn't be celebrating today.... Keep your eyes open for picture's as we take the opportunity to dress up and PARTY. After receiving a message from my gorgeous daughter ( see in the pictures) I'll apologise in advance for anything Ruth may do under the influence of to much cake :-) Ps Thank you Heather for the bottle of champagne we shall raise a glass later... X

After reading the replies to my last post I'd like to thank you all for your input ~ seems the lack of support from our Town stems from a couple of issues... Opening time's Advertising And dare I say it, always being busy due to loyal customers & visitor's from out of town 😉
... OK firstly we open Tues till Thursday 10 till 4 Friday and Saturday 10 till 6.
2, You can reserve a table and pre order take outs.
3, We serve amazing vegan afternoon tea but need 24 hrs notice because we bake daily and handmake our own chocolates.
4, if we're busy don't worry because we have a cozy seating area on both floors and a shop to browse in whilst you wait.
5, if you want to join us in the evening we do host event's, the next one will be the vegan pie and drinks day/ night on the 29 th September from 12 pm till late, followed by the Gin and Jazz night ~ 25 th October and 1st Dec ~ vintage Christmas.
6, we do lots of private and outside catering if you want to book with us.
7, we do have leaflets if anyone wishes to take some.
8, we have invested in local advertising which cost us a pretty penny but sadly had no effect.
9, We work very long hours so we struggle to have a strong on line presence apart from the odd Facebook post.
10, We wanted to put St Helen's on the map which we have done by bringing people into our town.
Under our roof we house a lot of small business who would also appreciate your support , selling Vintage ~ Vegan ~ Vinyls goods plus lots of unique handmade pieces , check us out ~ you don't need to be a vegan to enjoy our food, cardboard taste nice with chocolate chips you know 😉 Thanks everyone for getting involved x

Different take on vegan food at it's very best. I go weekly as I crave it so much during the week

Great food, caring staff, generous prices.

We came yesterday for the deluxe afternoon tea and it was amazing. We couldn't finish it all so had to take 6 cakes plus chocolates home with us. Staff are so friendly and the chef is more than happy to come out and go through all ingredients with us.. highly recommend this place xx

User

Visited for first time yesterday - Service and food was fantastic. We had the 'BBQ it's not chicken wrap' and Buddha bowl, can't wait now to try everything else! Highly, highly recommended - if this is vegan, I might seriously consider giving up meat!

User

Those cakes for driving home in the traffic jams were amazing, didn’t even make it to the motorway before they were gone! Lovely food, so nice to finally pop in for a vegan brekkie, amazing coleslaw, super friendly and fab music! Clean plates all round! Cannot wait to return minus the small people!

User

Thoroughly enjoyable afternoon. Met my friend for afternoon tea and we had the deluxe. The food was outstanding (especially the Frittata and the chocolate torte - the scones are to die for!). The Customer Service was excellent. The restaurant is spotlessly clean. Really cannot recommend Phoenix plant based eatery enough. Thank you for a lovely day.

User

Just had the most amazing afternoon tea with a friend. Frittata, finger sandwiches, vol au vents, a superb variety of cakes and scone, hand made chocolates and jelly and ice cream. Thank you Ruth and Ann Marie you all have a fantastic place in St Helens to eat and relax in whilst listening to great music. The food is fantastic and everyone is so friendly and helpful.

I visited pheonix for the first time with a friend last night. OMG such an amazing place. Ann Marie & Ruth were so warm and welcoming. The food is lovely. The ladies will cater for any need/allergies. Upstairs there is a vintage shop...I could have spent all day in there. I will be visiting again soon x

User

I had afternoon tea yesterday with a group of vegans from Warrington. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Lots of delicious food and a really welcoming, friendly atmosphere. Beautifully decorated eating area and a lovely shop upstairs to mooch around in for treats and presents. I certainly hope to be back soon and I'm telling all my friends what an excellent place it is.

User

I can highly recommend Phoenix plant based eatery in St Helens. 1st time i've eaten vegan and was so nice. The staff are lovely had a nice chat with the lady there and they have a shop upstairs full of vintage stuff. Lovely place

User

Found this wonderful place whilst in St. Helen's for work. I tried a slice of Aero Mint Chocolate cake and it was amazing. I was educated in how good a Vegan diet is and listening to all the cakes/meals that can be made vegan astonished me. I then took a look upstairs at their shop. I've highly recommened The Phoenix to my brother who is Vegan and lives in Blackpool. I actually highly recommend to drop in if in the area even if you're not Vegan.

User

Ate at Phoenix a few days ago and I would 100% recommend! Super affordable and amazing food! I’m so happy to finally have a vegan eatery in St. Helens and will now be a frequent visitor! Plus the chocolate desert was the best vegan desert I’ve ever eaten!!!
