Wow what an amazing place . Beautiful interior and the roof terrace is fabulous in the hot weather . I can’t fault anything especially the staff . The waiter upstairs was absolutely lovely, very friendly and nothing too much trouble . The food was delicious . We will certainly be visiting again ASAP ....

Valentine’s Day meal...amazing!

The staff were so welcoming and very attentive x

User

Unplanned visit and was not disappointed, lovely food friendly staff what more could we ask for, left feeling content at having such a wonderful dining experience.

User

My 1st experience of Piccolino's. The food was absolutely divine (garlic bread, pasta with chicken and a creamy sauce and the biggest ever slice of Tirimisu) and the service was faultless. Will definitely return.

User

Lovely staff and food, made us feel welcome and adjusted a recipe for me to a dairy free version xx

User

Love this place, fab staff and management, gorgeous food and wonderful service and the cocktails are the best ever!

User

Great location, serving fabulous food together with top staff.. đź‘Ť

User

Booked our table 2 weeks before we was greated on arrival by a lovely lady. We was shown to our table which was set out so nice. For the food wow it was amazing I can not thank the staff enough for a brilliant night. Definitely will be back!

User

It was excellent! Belissimo! Food was really good. A good selection of cocktails but could have some with whiskey and or rum! Great selection of beer too! Staff were very attentive and attentive! If you like Italian you will LOVE Piccolino's!

User

Not happy about being sat in the middle of an isle wiv everyone walking past us, so I asked the young girl on reception who shown us to our seats if we could move to the table at my side which was available & she said 'no' - twice I asked her. Yet when I asked the waiter, he was more than willing to accommodate my request!! Anyway the meal was fantastic so that made up for the initial 'poor' service :)

User

I do like it here but I went on my own and did come away wondering if I was a lesser priority as a single person . My main meal was wrong and had to wait for the right one and my dessert which I asked to be served with my coffee never arrived until I asked 20 mins after the coffee. The food when it came was lovely and I was given the dessert on the house . Could do better but I will return !

User

Food was average for the price charged. Staff were slow and our lady who served us was unhappy and not particularly friendly. Service was so slow consider it wasn’t busy. I have to say I was disappointed and won’t be in a hurry to return.

Two of us went in on Tuesday evening to a very quiet, nearly empty Piccolinos after trying Ego across the road but couldn't get in because they were full. We ordered drinks and a garlic bread to start. After approx 15-20 mins, I asked the waiter if it was on its way as it had been a while. He went to check and brought it down to us. That was fine, then our mains arrived - spaghetti bolognese and lasagne. My spaghetti dish was barely luke warm so I asked if it could be heated up. The waiter apologised and took it away. He brought another one which was in a hot dish but it was exactly the same - verging on cold. I asked if it had actually been heated up or just put into a hot dish. The waiter assured me it went back into the pan - it didn't! I told him I didn't want it again so he said he would go and tell the chef to do another one. I told him not to bother as I would share my husband's lasagne. The waiter apologised and said the chef sent his apologies too (a warm bolognese would have been preferable). To wait so long for a garlic bread and to be served one of the easiest dishes cold twice was pretty unbelievable. They weren't even busy. Needless to say we didn't pay for the bolognese and we definitely will not be in a hurry to go back. Such poor service for such expensive prices. They should be ashamed really.

We sat down for the meal and placed our order, which for the main my girlfriend chose Ravioli Zucci. This is specified on the menu as a vegetarian dish, and one she has had many times before at the restaurant.

When the meal was brought out, she began eating this and later noticed that it was not infact the Ravioli Zucci and was Ravioli Bolognaise. This was only noticed after three quarters of the meal had been eaten to which we then asked the waiter to come over and take a look at the meal. The meal was presented as it should be with the nuts placed on top of the Ravioli pieces and the sauce covering the dish. This lead her to believe there was nothing wrong with the meal and trusted that anything untoward was not present.

He did infact confirm that the wrong meal had been brought out and it contained meat. Upon hearing this my girlfriend became very sick and threw up in the Restaraunt bathroom, this continued for the rest of the night and into today as well.

When we asked how this had happened and where the error had occurred, the waiter displayed the order on the digital screen and said it had gone through correctly. He stated the problem lied in where the Ravioli is sourced, and that they are known to label up the packets incorrectly which causes this issue.

The waiter then queried whether or not that my girlfriend could taste the meat in the dish, but after not having meat for several years she would not notice this. If a meal is ordered and appears to look correct, a customer would not then feel the need to check/assess their food for what it states is not in it. I found this highly disrespectful and a total evasion of the issue which was a meat dish had been served to a vegetarian.

The waiter then said that there was nothing more that he could do, and that it was just 'one of those things' that happened with the orders. I then explained the severity of serving someone incorrectly due to negligence in this manner, that this could also lead to someone becoming seriously ill who has an allergy. In being served something that had simply been 'labelled up wrong'.

I found the explanation for what had happened absolutely terrible and for a Restaraunt of seemingly high standards this was simply not good enough. I am still waiting for a reply and explanation on the matter.

Terrible restaurant and would never return.

User

Very poor service we had to go and get our own sauce for our breakfast even though we asked for it

User

Two vegetarian mains on menu, pizza and mushroom rissoto. Italian is normally a safe bet for vegetarians, how hard is it to mix tomatoes garlic and chilli! Ordered pizza with mushrooms, which they got wrong. Mushrooms came separate and were soggy and over cooked. No second drinks were offered, no table water, no dessert menu was offered and we had to ask for the bill! Very disappointed as it was a birthday treat

User

Shocking that you think you can feed my friend meat when she is a vegetarian and then giving the excuse that "the packets sometimes get mixed so the chefs don't know what they are cooking" terrible service!!

User

Rang up last Monday to book a table on the terrace as I knew the weather was going to be glorious on Friday evening. At first I was basically laughed at by the guy I spoke to on the phone who made the comment "yeah nobody will be sat up there at half 7 I'll take you up there myself" he obviously wasn't aware of the weather forecast as it ended up been the hottest day of the year! Eventually I was told I would have a table reserved inside just in case as the the terrace is only open if the weather is nice but was told I would have a table on the terrace of it is.

I then rang on Friday afternoon to make sure I still had a table booked to sit on the terrace and I was told yes by a girl on the phone after speaking to another colleague.

Got to Friday evening and we arrived at the restaurant and was greeted by the staff who were quick to inform me "sorry, no! There's no room on the terrace tonight" How a restaurant feels that's acceptable I don't know? I booked the table on the a week in advance and was told I would have a table on the terrace! I've eaten here before and it's a shame that I will no longer be visiting. I ended up going over to the new Indian across from M&S..they have a gorgeous outdoor terrace and they sat us out there with no issues at all.

Party of 13 last night. Cramped, low lights that you banged your head on! Food indesescribably poor. Fortunately small portions. I had calamari starter, could not compare to that I enjoyed in Spain 2 weeks ago. Then a 30 minute wait for for seafood pasta. Cold and very dry. Colleague had ravioli. No idea what it was filled with, tasted like sugar. Did not order dessert. Worst Italian meal ever. First night out in Stockton Heath, hope there is better than this.
