At first glance this place doesn't look up too much, but don't let that fool you. It tends to attract so many "characters"; so a fantastic place for "people watching". It also puts on some top quality entertainment; so never a dull moment at the Piel! ;)

A great little pub, with a brlliant landlord ('ll have the fiver next week, Ben!) and friendly staff, plus fab entertainment (Karaoke on Thursdays, everyone!)

an unusual pub being double height ceiling. Quiet in the afternoon when we went friendly barman. Very nice beer. Coffee was mediocre.

Staff a friendly always have a pint of Guinness ready a I walk through the door. Not a regular honest.
