What a magical place this is! The pottery throwing course for newbies this morning was completely brilliant. Excellent tuition and a nice group of students too. I’m thrilled to bits to find pilling pottery and am not bothered a bit by the hours drive to get there. The staff have been so helpful and their customer service is outstanding. Thanks very much x

Thoroughly enjoyed this morning's class..thankyou very much to Dylan and dad for your patience, time and superb tuition. I felt like I learnt loads..can't wait to get back on the wheel...and also excited to see the finished products once fired in the kiln :D I'll be back!

Lovely couple of hours using a potters wheel for the first time. Fabulous tuition. “Too fast Janice! Do you drive like that?” Always a good sign of a fun morning.

Just had a great 2 hrs at the wheel attempting to throw some pots. It's was so relaxing (despite it being rather tricky thing to do!) and Dylan was a great teacher. Can t wait to come back for my time at the bench. Would highly recommend !

I’ve just attended a two-hour introduction to using a potter’s wheel and what an incredible morning it’s been. The tuition and hospitality were amazing, and I was stunned that I actually managed to produce something that is useable. Thank you so much to everyone at Pilling Pottery - I’ve definitely found my new hobby, and have signed up for weekly classes. Go to a class - you won’t regret it.

I haven't seen Jim and the lads for many years now but Jim spent many hours patiently teaching me how to make pots. Without a doubt one of the nicest people I have ever met and his family are wonderful, always helping the community and new starters like I was.

Not only nice people but fantastic pottery too - I can't wait to visit again now I live back over on the same side of the country again

I had a great time learning how to throw some pots and it was really relaxing too. I can't wait to see the finished results. Thank you to all the staff there, especially Dylan. You were all so lovely and the time just flew by. The lunch in the cafe was fab too. I'll definitely be back!

Haven't been here for many years, what a lovely surprise! Great atmosphere, friendly young staff who were really helpful to me as I was on crutches at the time. Food was all homemade, really tasty and priced very reasonably too! The scones in particular where delicious! Would highly recommend a visit to this little gem.

Had the most amazing kiln roast beef today. We would definitely come back just for this if you do it again, what a great meal! And lovely friendly staff in a lovely setting.

Had a great time today learning the basics of throwing pots. Dylan was a great teacher and we had loads of clay, time and attention. Nice studio, friendly people, and a fun new experience. Highly recommended.

Had a delicious scone with jam and clotted cream and coffee here this morning as well as a good look round the pottery and art shop. Lovely!
