Going plantbased doesn't have to be difficult. You don't have to spend hours peeling avocados or milking almonds. We want to make it as easy as possible for the plant-curious to jump on this meat free gravy train, which is why we came up with our ready-marinated tempeh pieces. They're the perfect protein source for all you busy bees out there who haven't got time to slow-roast a cauliflower - you can whack them into salads and stir fry's or eat them straight out of the packet if even that's too much of a faff. Not as stylish as this Buddha bowl by @somiigbene but hey, its what's on the inside that counts right? #plantpower #tempeh

Maybe it’s because it’s Friday. Maybe it’s because we’ve had a stonker of a launch week. Maybe it’s because big boss Larry brought brownies in this morning and we’re all a bit sugar drunk. But seeing all your posts about our new tempeh is getting us bouncing off the office walls like loons. Keep them coming you glorious plant-curious warriors and have a cracking weekend #tempeh #friyay

In our mission to make tempeh mainstream we sent some of our blocks over to @mindfulchefuk to see what storm they would cook up with it and we were not disappointed. This Asian-style tempeh and nectarine noodles dish tastes good and does good too. Now that’s soul food. Head on over to Mindful Chef to get yours ordered. Tempeh is on the menu.

If you’ve not tried our tempeh yet you really should because what if it’s your favourite food and you don’t even know it yet? What if it’s the meat alternative that you’ve been searching for all this time? What if you swiped left on the one? We can’t help with that last one but we can show you a picture of our packaging so you know what you’re looking for in @sainsburys and you can jump on the tempeh train. Maybe you’ll reach for a packet at the same time as your soul mate and you’ll lock eyes and drop your shopping baskets and passionately kiss. Even if that doesn’t happen you’ll still have some lovely tempeh to try. Oh we’re also available online at @thevegankindsupermarket too. Yep, think that covers everything I’ve been asked to tell you about you can carry on scrolling now. #plantpower

‘‘Twas the day before launch day, and all through the office, people were getting on with their usual duties and the marketing team had run out of ideas for the Instagram captions. Our tempeh launches tomorrow. And to all a good night #poemsarehard #plantpower

Ahhh tofu. It’s like the marmite of the plantbased staples. Some go mad for it’s chameleon like abilities to take on any flavour you throw at it, others feel the bean curd should be kicked to the curb because it’s like eating that weird jelly you get on a pork pie. Well in 2 days time we are going to unite the two plant-curious tribes with our tempeh. It uses whole beans for a more meaty texture and it can take on enough flavour to knock your socks off as well as having it’s own umami vibes going on. Step aside tofu, your way cooler, more versatile younger brother is stepping up and he’s making waves. #plantbased #plantpower

Three is a magic number. And we reckon tempeh is magic too. Its packed with probiotics which are proven to improve gut health and reduce symptoms of depression - now that's soul food that gets us smiling. #plantpower #countdown

In Indonesia the beans are traditionally fermented inside a banana leaf to produce the tempeh. #funfacts #countdowntolaunch

What even is tempeh? Is it some weird lab-grown Frankenstein-esque protein? Does it have loads of chemicals and bad stuff in it to make it taste like meat? We’re talking like we don’t even know ourselves but that’s just a nifty marketing trick so we can tell you that tempeh is actually whole soya beans (or other beans if the mood strikes) which are fermented with good gut bacteria to create lovely firm blocks. And there’s no smoke and mirrors or naughty chemicals added, it’s just pulses and probiotics. So that’s that. You can carry on scrolling now thanks for listening to our TedTalk. #plantbased #plantpower

We’re going to be launching in one of the UK’s biggest supermarkets on March the 17th so get it in your diary because you’re all invited to this plantbased party - it’s gonna be a riot. We meant it when we said tempeh is about to go mainstream. #plantpower

Modern life is weird. We’re so busy rushing around trying to do everything and be everywhere that we forget to do the important stuff like eat lunch or ring your nan to see how her aquarobics went. That’s why we’ve developed these ready to eat tempeh pieces for all those living that on-the-go lifestyle. We marinate them for you in authentic Indian spices so your tastebuds dance like they're in a Bollywood movie. They’re perfect in stir-frys and salads or even straight from the packet for a sneaky snack on your way home from work. Because we believe tempeh is for everyone, even people who don’t have time to make artsy buddha bowls on their lunch break because they’re on the phone to their nan. Tag a mate who needs to know (about our new tempeh, not the aquarobics). #plantpower #tempeh

You don’t have to go to the theatre or read poetry to get your culture fix, thanks to our tempeh there are far tastier ways. Following the ancient Indonesian method we ferment our soya beans (or whatever cool bean we fancy) and press them into blocks so they’re packed with probiotics that your gut will love you for. You can even marinate it in whatever world flavours take your fancy if you want to be super cultured but you do you man. Let’s #getcultured together✌🏼#plantpower

Hey you, it’s okay if your Buddha bowl doesn’t look as beautiful as this one by @gingervegan , it’s what’s on the inside that counts. But if you want to have a go at recreating it here’s the recipe anyway because you should always shoot for the stars right? Marinade: 1 tbsp tomato paste 1 tbsp coconut sugar 2 tbsp soya sauce... 1/2 tsp liquid smoke Mix all the ingredients in a small bowl. Cut your tempeh into 0.5cm slices and brush one side with the sauce. Place coated side down on a lined baking sheet and brush the top with the sauce. Bake at 180C for 15 minutes. Serve with your favourite Buddha bowl ingredients #plantbased #plantpower
