We’ve stayed at Plato’s once and dined twice. Lovely experience on all 3 occasions. We went for a meal on Sunday and found the service above and beyond expectations. My husband and I are relaxed diners, so we were pleasantly surprised by small touches we wouldn’t normally expect. We opted for pre-dinner drinks in the bar- the barman gave us menus while we drank. He then came back after 10 minutes to ask if we’d like to order before going to our table. We appreciated this & asked for nibbles in the bar, which was no problem. In the restaurant, the waiter was good humoured and adapted his manner perfectly for the very different guests sat either side of us. In my personal experience, that’s not easy to pull off. The food was fantastic and the chefs in the open kitchen were highly professional. We will certainly return soon

We had a great night in the bar, very friendly staff and locals made us feel very welcome.

Our dog loved it as everybody wanted to give him a doggy biscuit!

The bed was sooo comfortable and cosy and breakfast was fantastic.

We couldn't fault it and will stay again .

We had a few hours to kill this afternoon before a wedding night doo. We arrived at Plato's with a giddy 2.5 year old. We were all hungry and needed to sit n relax. The atmosphere was amazing and we all including Evie (the giddy 2.5 yearold) chilled instantly. The surroundings were beautiful, The staff were amazing, The manager Alex couldn't do enough to please everyone from start to finish. The food was out of this world, The drinks selection and quality were amazing. A very Well Done to Alex and the team, we're looking forward to R return visit soon. :)

We (my wife and I and our 3 dogs) love Kirkby Lonsdale and love Platos.

The best food we’ve eaten in a long time, if you’ve got a large appetite just order a side of chips! Attentive and friendly staff, with good knowledge!

Thank you to Plato’s bar and hotel staff for taking care of us yesterday. We had a fabulous 3 course dinner, overnight stay and breakfast for our valentine’s day treat.

Our room was luxurious, with every little thing thought of; from towels & robes to soap, shampoo and bubble bath.

Our dinner was delicious. We had the scallop and pork starter, the gnocchi starter, fillet steak main, lamb noisette main with dauphinoise potatoes, followed by passionfruit cheesecake and salted caramel tart. The wine was reasonably priced and I had a couple of glasses of rose.

The staff were attentive without being overbearing, and helped us with our menu choices.

Breakfast was equally good after a relaxing bath and good night’s sleep. There was plenty to choose from and cooked to order and requirements alongside fresh fruit, yogurts and toast.

I genuinely could not find anything to grumble about if I tried.

We had a fantastic stay and I will 100% be recommending this place to my friends and family who come to stay from away.

Plato’s is a fantastic place to stay. The rooms are very comfortable and beautifully decorated. The food and drink are superb and the staff are all friendly, welcoming and professional.

Fantastically friendly staff, each room is individual, the restaurant and bar are superb and cater for locais and guests. The food is gorgeous and the whole place is sooo pretty.

Fabulous food in a comfortable & relaxing atmosphere, we enjoyed a wonderful evening meal and then returned for brunch as we were so impressed! The quality, presentation and flavours of all of the meals was excellent, generous portions combined with friendly service and great value. I'd highly recommend eating here - the menu choice is extensive so ideal for accommodating different tastes. The cheese soufflé was especially delicious! Platos welcome dogs too which is brilliant.

Discovered Plato’s by accident as we stopped off on a journey to Northallerton. We had a wonderful welcome from the staff who looked after us throughout our meal without being at all intrusive. The food was fabulous from the Scottish mussels through the steak frites to the sticky toffee pudding. Everything had care and expertise written all over it. Full marks to the kitchen team and front of house!

The bed was sooo comfortable and cosy and breakfast was fantastic.

We couldn't fault it and will stay again .

We had a few hours to kill this afternoon before a wedding night doo. We arrived at Plato's with a giddy 2.5 year old. We were all hungry and needed to sit n relax. The atmosphere was amazing and we all including Evie (the giddy 2.5 yearold) chilled instantly. The surroundings were beautiful, The staff were amazing, The manager Alex couldn't do enough to please everyone from start to finish. The food was out of this world, The drinks selection and quality were amazing. A very Well Done to Alex and the team, we're looking forward to R return visit soon. :)

We (my wife and I and our 3 dogs) love Kirkby Lonsdale and love Platos.

Alex and his staff are so welcoming and it’s great to find somewhere as nice as this that is truly dog friendly.

Was driving so couldn't partake in an alcoholic cocktail- was made a fabulous elderflower mocktail which was superb! Thank you - will be back for the real thing soon 😄😄

The best food we’ve eaten in a long time, if you’ve got a large appetite just order a side of chips! Attentive and friendly staff, with good knowledge!

Thank you to Plato’s bar and hotel staff for taking care of us yesterday. We had a fabulous 3 course dinner, overnight stay and breakfast for our valentine’s day treat.

Our room was luxurious, with every little thing thought of; from towels & robes to soap, shampoo and bubble bath.

Our dinner was delicious. We had the scallop and pork starter, the gnocchi starter, fillet steak main, lamb noisette main with dauphinoise potatoes, followed by passionfruit cheesecake and salted caramel tart. The wine was reasonably priced and I had a couple of glasses of rose.

The staff were attentive without being overbearing, and helped us with our menu choices.

Breakfast was equally good after a relaxing bath and good night’s sleep. There was plenty to choose from and cooked to order and requirements alongside fresh fruit, yogurts and toast.

I genuinely could not find anything to grumble about if I tried.

We had a fantastic stay and I will 100% be recommending this place to my friends and family who come to stay from away.

Plato’s is a fantastic place to stay. The rooms are very comfortable and beautifully decorated. The food and drink are superb and the staff are all friendly, welcoming and professional.

Had a lovely time at Plato's yesterday sat in front of a roaring fire with a saffron gin was just the ticket after a walk by the river. The staff were fabulous and made us feel really welcome. The evening meal was great and with 50% off it just kept getting better. Would certainly return.

Had a beautiful meal on saturday night i am vegetarian and they couldnt do enough to make me anything it was one of the nices meals i have had out my husband said the same about his Lamb aswell thankyou and your breakfasts were delious to !!

Food was excellent, portion sizes are huge and great value for money, especially with the early bird offer 50% off. Also Pippa was lovely! She took a lovely photo of us in the cute outdoor eating area. After seeing us take a photo of each other. �

Fabulous food in a comfortable & relaxing atmosphere, we enjoyed a wonderful evening meal and then returned for brunch as we were so impressed! The quality, presentation and flavours of all of the meals was excellent, generous portions combined with friendly service and great value. I'd highly recommend eating here - the menu choice is extensive so ideal for accommodating different tastes. The cheese soufflé was especially delicious! Platos welcome dogs too which is brilliant.

Discovered Plato’s by accident as we stopped off on a journey to Northallerton. We had a wonderful welcome from the staff who looked after us throughout our meal without being at all intrusive. The food was fabulous from the Scottish mussels through the steak frites to the sticky toffee pudding. Everything had care and expertise written all over it. Full marks to the kitchen team and front of house!

Always welcoming, always comfortable and enjoyable staying at Plato's. Amazing rooms with everything you need including great toiletries. Free coffee and cake on arrival, free parking. Everyone at Plato's go the extra mile to ensure you have a great stay. Excellent breakfast, friendly bar and very good restaurant. The Steak-frites were the best, thank you. We will be back.

We’ve stayed at Plato’s once and dined twice. Lovely experience on all 3 occasions. We went for a meal on Sunday and found the service above and beyond expectations. My husband and I are relaxed diners, so we were pleasantly surprised by small touches we wouldn’t normally expect. We opted for pre-dinner drinks in the bar- the barman gave us menus while we drank. He then came back after 10 minutes to ask if we’d like to order before going to our table. We appreciated this & asked for nibbles in the bar, which was no problem. In the restaurant, the waiter was good humoured and adapted his manner perfectly for the very different guests sat either side of us. In my personal experience, that’s not easy to pull off. The food was fantastic and the chefs in the open kitchen were highly professional. We will certainly return soon
