Caroline Wilkinson: Salon Owner / Beauty Therapist

Hi I’ve been in the beauty industry for 17 years and the owner of Polished for the last 9 years. My core skill is a skin specialist. The salon has been awarded Guinot Crown status for the second year as a provider of quality treatments and retail skincare. This is a huge achievement for the salon and my career. I have a fantastic team of staff who are supportive and committed into making Polished the best Beauty Salon in Rossendale. We are a close team and we aim to make all our clients feel welcome. Sheree and I have just completed an Advanced NVQ Level 4 Beauty therapy award. This qualification will enable us to offer a wider range of advanced treatments for example laser /IPL hair removal and semi permanent make up.

Elizabeth Wilkinson: Salon Owner

As a mum and daughter team of owners we have a good combination of skills, beauty and accountancy. I am an M. A. A. T, using those skills gained on a day to day basis. The 9 years have sped by developing the business. Technology has also advanced so you can keep in touch with your clients via the various social media apps on a regular basis. Our new clients are either client recommendations or via the website /social media. I am involved in decision making in respect of introducing new ranges and training. A well motivated team is a happy one! The one role I love is greeting clients and making sure their salon experience is relaxing and meets their expectations.

Charlotte Hanley: Beauty Therapist

I’ve been in the beauty industry for 17 years, I specialise in all Lycon waxing treatments, nail services and tanning & Makeup application. I have had the pleasure of working with Caroline for 8 years during my career and I have been back at Polished for over 2 years, and to be honest it feels like I’ve never left as we still have regular clients that have been coming to this salon for 16years, so we always have something to talk about. I work here part-time and love organising the in salon events and keeping on top of our social media pages.

Isobel Peel: Apprentice Beauty Therapist

I am 18 years old and I have recently joined the Polished team as an apprentice therapist whilst studying for my NVQ level 3 at Bury college. The advantage of my course is I can perform treatments in a Salon environment as well as in college. I am qualified to do level 2 beauty therapy treatments and I am hoping to widen my knowledge and improve my skills.
