What an amazing hen party we had at Popworld on May Bank holiday weekend! The music was pure cheese just what we like, the drinks were great especially the partinis and we danced our socks off. From the bar staff to the bouncers they were all great craic. We loved it all, will definitely be back, the atmosphere was amazing, our feet are still sore from dancing :)

Went shopping which turned in to an all nighter and what a night . Funniest night I’ve had In ages .

I organized for my sister to have her hen in popworld as my sister is obsessed with spice girls and cheesy music!! I booked the vip area and the drink promotions with Shannon!! Shannon was an absolute star to work with and pulled out all the stops she even had spice girl stickers on the tables of the vip area for my sister she was absolutely amazing and I really cannot compliment her enough no request was too big and no detail was too small when it came to Shannon!! All the girls and boys had an absolute ball and even though a lot of them had a 8am flight no one wanted to leave the music was amazing and pure cheesy which kept us dancing all night I am now back In Ireland and my feet are still sore from all the dancing but it was definitely worth it and we cannot wait to come back!!

I booked a table for me and my friends for my birthday and we bought the drink packages! Had no problems and didn’t want to leave by 3am! Love the music and not squished on the dance floor! Only bad thing is the toilets they smell and are ridiculously small

Had an amazing night on Saturday for my best friends Hen Party all thanks to Shannon who helped organise everything. Definately recommend a night out here.

Feel like I have to write a review because of an incident that happened last night which quite literally terrified me, me and my boyfriend had just walked into the club to the DJ shouting for all the bouncers to come upstairs



Turn around and there's a girl absolutely covered in blood and there's 2 groups of lads kicking off about to batter each other



It was horrible to witness but I feel like the bouncers need some credit for what they do for once rather than getting put down all the time. They dealt with the situation so professionally and calm and stopped anything else from happening before it escalated, one of them was basically up against 4 lads who were giving him abuse and lunging at him and he didn't rise to it and dealt with it in the best way anyone could have



All the people on here that moan about groups of lads getting turned away and not being allowed in if you look too drunk and how the bouncers are 'power hungry' - what happened last night is exactly why they are the way they are!



It's one of the most popular and first seen clubs in Liverpool and it's constantly packed, and considering the ratio of doormen to people it's no wonder they're strict



I personally get along with them, there's 2 in particular that always say hi and ask me how I am, and they are genuine nice people. How you act in a club has consequences to how they will act towards you, and I'm sceptical of half the reviews I've read and feel like people often miss out some bits to make them look more like a victim



I've never witnessed them being unreasonable without a reason and honestly its not a job I could ever do



I see a lot about the bar staff being 'rude' aswell which isn't true! Every time I've been in I've never ever had a problem with any member of staff at all. I've worked in a pub myself and let me tell you bartenders are only rude to you if you're rude to them first and do stupid shit like shouting at them to serve you or waving money at them and banging on the bar



Long review but I just think it's unfair how much stick the staff get and how many people try and play victim when they were actually the ones acting like cunts most of the time ��

Excellent EXCELLENT customer service and Shannon was absolutely brilliant!



Everything went smoothly for my friend's stag do and we couldn't be happier with the service!

when the bouncer in popworld throws your drink out of your hands and then picks you up and throws you down the stairs.... i have bruise all over my arms. he must think i would be to drunk to remember. A girl then gets really angry with him for for some reason and she cut his head with her shoe. I go to get tissueas im first aider and find another security snatch the blue roll and give me pure rude comments as i walk back down the stairs. I was covered in blood all up my arm, shirt i wore hands �The pictures on ny profile. I have never been so upset� discusting behaviour

Was so excited to go to popworld as i had been there years ago and loved it . How disappointing one of our friends went out side as wasent feeling well . So one of the girls went out to check if she was ok they locked her out i then asked the bouncer could they leave the girl back in as she only poped out to check on a buddy and give her a key and her bag .He caught my drink off me and grabbed my arm and said rude things to me . Not acceptable in this day and age the manager told me he was going to have a word but i mo well he wont.Looking at these reviews ye need a serious look at who ye choose to wotk here as there letting yer buisness down .we all decided to leave as we were shocked with what had hapoenf this bouncer should not be aloud work no respect for women or clearly for himself .

The staff and owner(at least that's what they told me) didn't let me in the club based on me being ''too drunk'', although there was a line of 20 people that was in a worse shape than me that got in, all of that after they saw my id card is not brittish. Oh and I somehow entered the place myself in a worse shape, that just because i didn't show my id lol.

Sooo internationals living in Liverpool, stay away from this place unless you want to be humiliated. Disgusting conduite.

Should have a zero star option, absolutely disgusted by the behaviour of your bouncers. My friend had tried to go outside with her drink, and instead of politely explaining that you cannot take drinks outside (which was all that was needed), the bouncer proceeded to manhandle her. It was completely unnecessary to physically pick up a young woman and throw her out of the club with such force, leaving all of us shocked and upset. Even people who were in the queue and witnessed it who we didn't know were shocked, leading to a further argument in which the same bouncer was then racist towards said people; and a fight then erupted. A few of the bouncers became very aggressive, as if they get a sadistic kick out of attempting to intimidate young women , and abusing their powers. Then to top off the already dreadful experience, one bouncer called another one of my friends "fat" leaving her in tears. Absolutely disgraceful, and if these are people who are supposed to protect us on a night out, then I have no faith at all.

Pretty naf ...went to sit down in what appeared to be free aeata to be chooed awayed and told a VIP area ... asked manger why we xoyldnt sit there (0030 hr) to be to be tomd its costs £400 .....eh???? Really ??? It's popworld...

Be very careful to visit this place! If u get inside its great place, great fun...the problem comes if ur a smoker and go out to smoke... The bouncers won't let u back in. Even though u have your drink and stuff inside. The bouncers r really... Thick... If u ask them how much is one plus one they won't tell u that's how thick they are.

After years of visiting this place we were refused entry by the door man and I quote "You dirty Irish gypsy bastards need to fuck off"



This is an absolute disgrace. We have reported this hate crime to the authorities

Absolutely will never go here again. I went to the bar asking for a double gin and tonic, the bartender poured half of it out of the glass when she poured it from the measure. While looking at the poured out gin on the bar, I asked if she could top it off because I clearly did not get a double when that’s what I asked for... She took away the drinks (which i’d already paid for) grabbed a manager, and she asked what was wrong. At this point it wasn’t that big of a deal I just wanted the drinks that I paid for, but i told the manager that i simply asked the bartender to top off my drink because she clearly did not pour the right amount, as half of it was on the bar top! She called security and had security escort me out for being hostile. Mind you, I am about 5 foot 2 and weigh 100 pounds and am not an argumentative person whatsoever. I got my husbands attention as they had my hands behind my back so he could grab my things. I was crying on the sidewalk because I had basically been kicked out for no reason and I was embarrassed upon meeting new people, my husband walked out and said to the bouncer who grabbed me that “this is the girl who you just kicked out for being hostile... this girl sobbing on the sidewalk” and he proceeded to call me a c*nt and my husband too! I’m absolutely appalled at the treatment of customers here. Seriously do yourself a favor and visit some much better bars and clubs that are around liverpool and stay away from this one.

Absolutely shocking bouncers here. Refused entry to friends as it was "student night" but proceeded to let everyone else in. Got the manager of popworld and apparantly the excuse of the bouncer was that there was a big grouo of lads. That was a blatent lie. It was 2 men and 1 woman. Needs to go give his head a wobble, power hungry horror. 100% do NOT recommend to go here.

Absolutely appalling door staff. Wouldn’t let a group of 6 lads in causing no trouble out for their mates birthday yet let a group of 6 girls in. Very sexist and not on in my opinion. Won’t try to go their again, discussing.
