what a difference when people show you what to do, other gyms ive been to just say yeah that's a machine, that's another. great atmosphere great people, first gym where ive wanted to go back

Took me rather a while to join the gym. Finally done it and it was for sure the best decision I've ever made! As I've never been a gym member before Ian introduced me to the routine and patiently set up PT's and diet plan with me. In two months achieved my goal and now I'm determined to do more. Still building up my confidence but with such friendly and supportive staff getting better and better every day. Just need to find time to go there more often. No-one looks down nor faun upon you even when you've totally no idea what you're doing ;-) proper gym for real people that want to achieve set goals. Highly recommend!!!

Took me ages to actually pick up the phone and join the gym. Norma and Chem are so down to earth and nothing is to much trouble. Don’t know why I was so worried, wish I’d done it sooner!! If anyone is looking for a PT I can’t reccomend Norma enough, that lady deserves a medal for putting up with me 🤣.

Took all my courage to go to my first ever personal training session on Tuesday but I did and I really enjoyed it! Norma was brill and gave me some great advise! And I felt so comfortable too. Thanks so much. I would highly recommend

I've never been to the gym for over 20 years, I was terrified of going back.

Ian, Norma and all the staff made me feel very welcome.

I've been in the sport Centre for years and decided to take a look at powerhouse... Ian and Norma were friendly and a great help in my diet/workout program and the gym it self is awesome credit were due... been there now 5 weeks gained 16lbs and I'm well please with my gains thanks again Ian Norma and staff at the powerhouse/Phoenix gym!!!!

I'm away on my holidays in the lakes and stumbled on this little jewel �. I've just had my first year in competitive bodybuilding at the ripe old age of 47 and for some reason find it hard walking in to new gyms. Well I've never been made so welcome at any over gym I've ever been to. Lovely people.

I don't train there but called in today to ask advise on an injury and the response from Ian and the people in reception was most helpful. Sorted me out with a Physiotherapist and some tips on excersise to aid recovery.

Great gym, everything you need for any type of training, Ian has an abundance of knowledge and always happy to help you out. Fantastic little supplement store inside with everything you need.

All round great Gym

Far better than Whitehaven sports centre, the staff find it perfectly acceptable to let the equipment be dropped smashed and left on the floor...... at least the members of Power House gym have respect for equipment and other gym users.

Chen Norma and Amanda have gone out of their way to make me feel comfortable in the gym and shown me what I need to do to improve my fitness and lose weight. I've now got the gym bug and love going here

Best gym in the north-west of Cumbria great staff excellent atmosphere and big bounce of 24 hour opening well worth a visit if ever in the area

Best gym I’ve been to, with a relaxed supportive vibe. You always feel comfortable to shout up if you need advice. Having the 24hr access is great so you can avoid peak times and fit a sesh in around your life.

Been training in the gym for a few months now and feel like am starting to reach my goal with the help from Norma even starting doing a few weights thanks for all your help always made welcome x

Been training in the gym for a few month now and received training from both Chem and Norma and can honestly say they've given me the confidence and knowledge to know what to do in the gym and which body parts to work. I've never felt so strong and determined to better my body and to keep pushing. They also provide great advice, diet plans and are also very down to earth people. not once have I went to the gym and felt uncomfortable so anyone looking for a good friendly gym to go to with top class facilities this is the gym you all need to go to.

A huge thank you to Amanda who gave me my induction this afternoon, I felt at ease the moment I walked in. I was having kittens in the car thinking I can't walk through the door and had absolutely nothing to feel nervous about. I'll be back in tomorrow cant wait to start training. Thank you so much everyone xx
