Dear Parents and Carers, Our nurseries will remain open from today Monday 23rd March 2020 for vulnerable children and children of critical workers only. We ask for your understanding around staffing challenges that may arise especially if they themselves need to self-isolate. As we are a group of four nurseries in the Blackpool area, should we need to close a nursery through a shortage of staff then we could possibly transfer your child to a sister nursery for consistency of... care. Please ensure nursery have your most up to date contact details so we can communicate with you when needed. I’m sure you would join me in my tribute to our amazing staff team of who work so hard and especially in these difficult and worrying times. . The message from the government is that we all need to do what we can to reduce the spread of the COVID 19 virus whilst enabling critical workers to do their jobs. The most recent scientific advice on how to further limit the spread of COVID19 is clear. The government message is very clear if children can be cared for at home, children should and must stay at home. We have been asked as nurseries to remain open only for those children who absolutely need to attend. It is important to underline that schools, nurseries colleges and other educational establishments remain safe places for children. But the fewer children making the journey to nursery, and the fewer children in educational settings, the lower the risk that the virus can spread and infect vulnerable individuals in wider society. Many parents working in the critical worker sectors may be able to keep children at home and every child who can be safely cared for at home should be. So I must stipulate that nursery will be open for your child(ren) only if it is VITAL that both carers attend work Please, therefore, follow these key principles: 1. If it is at all possible for children to be at home, then they should be. 2. If a child needs specialist support, is vulnerable or has a parent who is a critical worker, then nursery will be available for them, on the days on which it is needed. 3. Parents should not rely for childcare upon those who are advised to be in the stringent social distancing category such as grandparents, friends, or family members with underlying conditions. 4. Parents should also do everything they can to ensure children are not mixing socially in a way which can continue to spread the virus. They should observe the same social distancing as adults. Thank you for your continued support. Kind regards Dawn Brocklehurst Operations Director

Firstly, in these very difficult and worrying times, I would like to thank you for all of your support and patience. You will understand that we are dealing with a number of challenges in our nurseries. Following the prime Ministers announcement, I can now confirm that our nurseries will close from today Friday 20th March 2020 until further notice.
Our nurseries will remain open on Monday 23rd March 2020 for vulnerable children and children of critical workers only, unless in...structed otherwise by Blackpool council. We are asking critical worker parents to only send their child/ren to nursery only if they have no other alternative. If you believe your child is covered by either of these groups please let the nursery Manager know, however I do believe that we have identified these children already and those covered have been notified already by the Manager. Please speak to the manager to arrange sessions.

Dear Parents and Carers,
Nursery continues to operate as usual following the latest government advice for staff and pupils. If your child has a high temperate (above 38c) and/or a new continuous cough, please keep them at home for seven days from the start of the symptoms.
... If we see symptoms in nursery we will contact parents to arrange for the child to be collected from nursery.
As of yet, there is no reason for a child to self-isolate if a family member is showing symptoms. However, if there has been a positive COVID-19 test in the household, the child should stay at home
