Went last Saturday afternoon for a meal with my wife and kids. All the meals were lovely, my steak was just perfect with lovely homemade chips and my wife ate off the slimming world menu, pasta Bolognese and loved it. The service was excellent both by the liverpudlian girl behind the bar and Georgia who served the table. Will definitely return again.

We had are first visit Sunday here and was realy impressed with my Sunday roast followed by the best hot chocolate fudge cake I've had in while .... Kids loved the park to will definitely be visiting agen soon ÔøΩ

This is our regular haunt as we live at the end of the street and as always the food is top notch. 6 of us went out to celebrate my birthday and we all left satisfied.

This is now our 4th visit this week.

Really good food. Always have the slimmers menu as tastes great, had Diet Coke chicken last time we came and today had the keema pathia curry which was so good!! Defo b back

Not here , but just to say a massive thank you Mike and a lady there (who’s name I don’t know) for taking care of my brother in law Scott Cahill and calling an ambulance �, he is on the mend in hospital which could have been a different story without your help , so big thank you from all the family

My daughter and l had lunch yesterday, it was delicious, when the manager found out it was my birthday nothing was to much trouble, free coffees and a pudding if we wanted one, enjoyable lunch to say the least.

I'm a member at Slimming world and being able to go out for a nice meal and have a slimming world meal is a amazing thing couldn't fault the food or the staff very helpful and polite recommend to anyone but more so anyone who's at slimming world take along your SW card you get free Diet Coke üòäüòäüòä

Heard about the slimming meals they do so we came today I had Chinese chicken and my hubby had spicy chicken and we both had a banana boat desert for 2 syns I’ve got to say it was delicious and so so tasty will be back very soon thank you x

Had my daughters christening after party there. We can’t thank you enough, the buffet was fantastic definitely worth the price. Kids loved the play area and while the adults watched them they could enjoy a drink. Thank you would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Been today and had the chargrilled chicken off the slimmers menu. Came with asparagus, garlic potatoes and a tomato sauce. Lovely meal can’t wait to come again and work my way through the slimmers menu �

Ate one of the new slimming world syn free meals tonight Mediterranean chicken pasta. It was tasty and good size portion, got a free diet coke when I showed my sw membership card. They confirmed they use Frylight and got ingredients for syn free gravy too. Great service and atmosphere. Defo going again.

After a freezing cold day at Haigh Hall on Easter Sunday I phoned up at about 4.30 asking could I poss have a table for 4 (I wasn't expecting to get one!) but they fit us in even though it ended up being a table for 6 as my mum & her partner joined us. We were seated straight away on a lovely table. The place was extremely busy and the staff were run off their feet but doing a fab job. We ordered various meals off the normal menu & the slimmers menu. I had a HUGE Sunday roast which was amazinggggg 😍 My partner had the mega burger the kids had a small roast (which was still big!) a sandwich and my mum & partner had the slimmers meals (can't remember which ones 😂) but they both thoroughly enjoyed them. ALL the food was fresh and wholesome and despite we were told there was a 30 min wait the food arrived after about 20 mins which was brill as the kids were starving and tired! One of the lovely girls from behind the bar brought us some paper and colouring pencils for the kids to keep them entertained! All the staff are lovely. The drinks were all super and everything was clean. Great value for money I can see this pub becoming a regular place for us! Great job 👍🏻

A group of us traveled from various parts of the country to visit very dear friends yesterday and had wonderful evening in this lovely pub. Service was excellent, In particular one member of staff I think her name was Michelle but if not she’ll know who she is, and she went above and beyond to help us make our special evening memorable and the food was absolutely lovely. We will definitely come back next time we visit Lowton. Thank you x

I had the rump steak - the chips and blue sauce were lovely but the steak was a bit tough. Shame the dessert we wanted was sold out, and we had gone early just after 5pm.

Would try again

Went last Thursday - service was the best part. The Liverpudlian lady who served us was lovely. The SW diet c chicken wasn’t heaped with fresh veg as it described on the menu, but ok apart from that it was tasty and good value for 24£12. My daughters meal was poor. Blatantly a supermarket frozen pizza, microwave smash which I tasted and was rank. Also the smallest splatter of beans you’ve ever seen. Mixed feelings x

Well I have to say I'm a little dissapointed in the Red Lion at Lowton. I have heard really good things about the food, so we called in for lunch today. We ordered all day breakfast for hubby and fish and chips for me. I didn't expect to wait 40 mins for the food as there were only a few ppl in, when it came it looked lovely but thats were it ended in afraid. Hubby hash browns were overcooked almost burnt and the bacon was very fatty and heavily smoked the fried bread was brown and overcooked also and my fish was very greasy inside the batter. So all in all not pleasant but maybe we caught um on a bad day.

Let me start by saying that the last few times I’ve been here have been very good. Today (very hot day) stopped off on a walk with the dog for lunch. Dog’s water bowl (provided by pub and usually OK) was empty so had to go to bar to ask for water - told barmaid I needed still water for dog bowl, was sold two bottles of Strathmore (fine, don’t mind paying if that’s the way things are now). Whilst having lunch - another member of staff searching the beer garden for the dog bowl takes it from near our table (without asking), takes it inside, fills it with water and brings to another table who have just walked in with a dog - now maybe they will have it added to their bill, who knows ?......... just a little disappointed no explanation or even to ask if we’ve finished with it. Food was OK and despite being told “we’ve run out of pizza” when ordering for my daughter, I am now sat here having finished her chicken nuggets watching someone on opposite table tuck into a large pepperoni by the look of it. Will be a while before I try here again I’m afraid ! Maybe just an “off day” but I hope it’s not gone that far down hill from my last few visits.

My first visit tonight and besides the pub being a lovely pub to go to I would not recommend the food or staff. Hubby said his tikka didn't taste like tikka and was very runny. I had chilli con carne which i couldn't fault itself but didn't come with sour cream which I love so I asked and they'd ran out. My replacement was beans and bbq sauce???? I'd ordered nachos too which they'd forgot. When they came there was a white sauce on them... but I thought they'd ran out of sour cream.. we think it was either a tartare sauce or a garlic mayo... didnt go well...wasn't nice at all. Would just rather be told they'd ran out when ordering as I probably would of had something else.. little lad had a meltdown because he wanted a spoon for his beans, we asked a member of staff but never got one so I just helped him with a fork.. then after .. we asked twice at the bar could we have our kids free ice creams brought out please to which we still never got after around 40 minutes waiting and we had to leave ÔøΩ sorry
