Google Expeditions enable teachers to bring students on virtual trips to places like museums, underwater, and outer space. Expeditions are collections of linked virtual reality (VR) content and supporting materials that can be used alongside existing curriculum. These trips are collections of virtual reality panoramas - 360° panoramas and 3D images - annotated with details, points of interest, and questions that make them easy to integrate with lesson plans from tes into curriculum already used in schools.

Google Expedition Kits from Redbox VR are the simple, compact, all in one solution that can take your pupils on immersive virtual field trips that will engage, educate and fascinate them. Google Expeditions are being developed with many leading names such as the American Museum of Natural History, the Planetary Society and David Attenborough. The resulting expeditions are something else; 3D imagery and panoramas, all loaded with details, points of interest and questions - with new expeditions being made available all the time.
