What a wonderful surprise this place was!!

Behind the beautiful Cotswold exterior are wonderful rooms, great staff and wonderful food. Really is a wonderful place and would have no hesitation in going back our Sunday lunch was a real treat, very tasty and well cooked.

User

Went for one night for birthday and had a lovely relaxing time, loved everything the room the food and the staff where excellent. Special thanks to Nicki for organising a surprise pudding with happy birthday written on the plate made it a special weekend away. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be going back.

We stopped off for dinner on the way to our hotel on Friday night. Lovely meal. I gave the steak and ale pie. Hubby had haggis. So good we stopped off for lunch on Sunday on the way home. Would highly recommend it. Very friendly staff and fabulous food

We stayed for one night early January. Our room was outside to a courtyard. Lovely and spacious and I must commend them on the lighting. So many hotel rooms have poor/ dim lighting. This one could be cozy or it could be nice and bright. The bed was huge! But the duvet wasn't really big enough it only just covered us. Lots of pillows though. The pub was really cozy with a big open fireplace and comfy sofas. Decor is very " country" with tweed cushions. The food was very good. Couldn't see much in the way of veg on the menu so I mentioned it to the waitress and they told me I could have a side of seasonal veg. Wasn't mentioned on the printed menu. The breakfast was excellent. Poached eggs were cooked absolutely perfect! All in all a very good stay. We will definitely be back.

We had our Aldi staff xmas meal on 17th Dec, it was a great evening, tables looked very festive & the food was delicious.

Thanks to Vikki & the team for the good service & for putting up with our noisy antics, fun evening had by all.

User

The breakfast room & pub were just what you would want. Breakfast was all you can eat sausage, English bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms, fried bread, baked beans, fruit, yogurt, and cereal - and of course eggs. Toast, tea or coffee is brought to your table.

Easy bus access to nearby towns.

User

The Redesdale is a village pub / hotel. What that means is you can expect great people, fantastic breakfasts, good pub service and atmosphere and some quirky issues with rooms. Overall, brilliant value. If you want 5 star facilities, find a top hotel in Birmingham!

User

Stayed there for my girlfriends birthday and couldn't have asked for a better time. The junior suite, service and food were wonderful. All the staff were friendly and professional.

I would stay there again without hesitation.

I’ve just stopped here after a long day at work, I’m sitting in the courtyard garden, basking in the sunshine, and I’m happily replete after a delicious Reesedale Burger.

Excellent food, and a really super level of service.

I’d highly recommend coming here.

Thanks!

User

Great food, good service, well kept beer, plenty if space inside and out.

User

Great food and drink very well priced great service

User

Beef was perfectly cooked, my only complaint is the veg arrived 7 minutes after the beef and potatoes, rather have waited until all could be presented together. But I would return for another meal.

User

A step back in time with unique rooms good hospitality and great food

User

Really good long weekend stay, lovely food, wonderful staff and a great roaring fire. A couple of little things about the room ( no full length mirror in ours ) and a funny noise outside, but apart from that 9/10

User

My husband D'Arcy and myself live locally so you could say it's our local. We always try to get the cosy couch by the log fire which is near the window too so you can view the pretty shops nearby. Our favourite is Jo who works there who always has a smile and a joke with us despite always being rushed off her feet as it does attract lots of tourists some can be quite rude though if they don't get served right away. We watch lots of tourists come and go for food or maybe a warm drink or a cold one. It's also a hotel too with lovely sized rooms. All good at this hotel. We're lucky that we happen to live in this beautiful part of the world. Def give this place a visit and say Hi to Jo ❤️

User

Have stayed here in the past so we decided to call in for a meal and must say me and the. wife both ordered steaks must say been a long time since we've had steaks has good as them would recommend to all you steak lovers

User

Excellent staff very helpful and friendly Good meal for a Sunday evening but not much veg available Really lovely room in the courtyard but bathroom smelt of mould and the bathroom was very dark as mirror not lit up at all Breakfast was very good as was the available parking Would stay again in this hotel but mostly for our own convenience for family

User

Room was lovely, bed comfortable but the ensuite did let it down. Shower and hand basin had not been checked by housekeeping and were faulty. The towels were clean and fresh. T.V did not work in the morning. Staff very pleasant. We ate in the restaurant but the food although read well on the menu was disappointing as not hot enough and my starters were poor for a pate and my husband's looked as though it had been reheated more than once. The cooked breakfast was sufficient to suit all although the staff do need to check more often to refill. We would stay again but not eat there. It was easy to park the car but signage to the car park is poor.

User

Room was clean & tidy but we only had half the towels we were meant to have, the walls are very thin & we didn't have any hot water in the morning. Not worth mentioning for a one night stay.

Staff were friendly. We ate in the restaurant at night & breakfast in the morning, both were very nice.

The managers had left a bottle of fizz in our room as it was our wedding anniversary, nice touch.
