What can you say never had a bad meal every time we go we are never disappointed with the service and food right quirky restaurant deserves 5 star's

Went to the Refreshment Rooms this evening for a few beers and a good company. The wife and I must say that the service and hospitality was exemplary and then we come into the food. Two steaks cooked to perfection and a glass of wine to compliment the fantastic food. I must say I have never had a steak tasting any better than this evenings. Al and his team should be very proud and all for £10 per head. Fantastic and well done to you all. Ps the garden is a joy and the beach area like a little spot in paradise.

We visited for the first time last night and we will be returning, all tables were reserved but they managed to fit us in. Food was amazing, the were staff very attentive and friendly... Hubby's meal was slightly wrong but it wasn't an issue to rectify the problem! My brisket of beef.... Delicious �.... A perfect hidden gem! Thanks guys.... Look forward to seeing you again soon �

Visited Saturday lunch time for the first time. Plenty of people had recommended it but hadn’t got round to going. Well we sure were not disappointed, the place is very quirky and pleasantly set out, friendly staff and the food was gorgeous. I had the chicken curry half and half and my hubby had a rump steak. Both cooked beautifully and very tasty. I also then had a warm strawberry waffle for desert which was to die for. Will certainly be going back and be recommending this place to others... keep it up...

This is the most visited restaurant on the Wirral by us, usually on steak night which is Monday, very good value �Have visited many times with friends, relatives and even celebrated my retirement with my work buddies here, had a great night and they were all impressed with their meals. Food is sourced locally, and cooked to perfection. Staff are great, very attentive and friendly. Customer service is brilliant.

The menu was plentiful & reasonably priced. The food was excellent. The service was fabulous & the atmosphere within was relaxed & comfortable.

Can't wait to visit again as it was well worth the 130 mile round trip.

Thanks to the staff they made our evening better than we imagined. Everyone was so friendly. It was a belated Christmas catch up and you provided us with Christmas crackers.. Absolutely made our evening thank you. Food was absolutely gorgeous and wonderful atmosphere.�highly recommended

Party of 12, food was fantastic staff busy but attentive.Would definitely go back, every plate of food looked and tasted great.Just come home , and had to leave a comment.many thanks to all your hard working staff.

Our second visit in the last couple of weeks.Lovely staff very welcoming. Lovely airy cool pub/restaurant and a nice outside area to enjoy the sun. Great menu so much choice I struggled to decide! I went for two starters instead of a main and opted for the Panko calamari and king prawn bruschetta. Both amazing fresh and tasty. My better half didnt want anything heavy so he had chicken bacon & brie panini, again no complaints. This place isn't the cheapest but it's reflected in the high standard of the food and I'm happy to pay for good quality. After we ate inside as it was lovely and cool, we sat outside for another drink in the evening sun. This place is a real gem, in a great setting and is going to be a place we will regularly visit.

I attended my first ever gin festival here yesterday and the barman Liam made the experience wonderful by making the drinks look and taste amazing!

All staff are friendly and look after you really well.

One small disappointment was the bar snack portions we ordered were quite small and not great value for the price but apart from that it was a really lovely day!

Food delicious, beer excellent, service friendly and beyond par my favourite place to eat would recommend it to anyone and have done will be back again soon �

First visit...Staff fabulous and extremely helpful and accommodating...food...well what can I say..and free desert on aTuesday...loved it...so much so ..booked a table for lunch 25th august for gin fest....fab...well done

Don’t tell my mother-in-law but this was the best Sunday lunch I’ve ever eaten. Amazing food and the service was spot on. I wish I lived closer so I could visit more often.

Another fantastic meal here today for my daughters birthday.., couldn’t recommend this place enough... the food is fabulous, the staff are amazing and couldn’t be more attentive if they tried... superb establishment xxx

Relaxed professional quality and quantity just right

Absolutely love bringing people here...... the service, food and atmosphere are brilliant..... the portions are off the plate and nothing is too much trouble.......

The food is great, and the first time I visited the service was good too, but my visit on Sunday left a lot to be desired as far as service was concerned, they left us for about half an hour to clear our main meal plates and then asked us to hurry up because another party was due for our table. Not good, needs to improve customer service.
