... Floorstaff - the ability to run like a chicken. Woth the elegance of a swan. Be able to carry trays and have a good chin wag
Banterman - (otherwise known as bar back) the backbone of the bar. Keep people laughing. Fridges full and glasses clean!

Del and Emma have returned to work behind the bar after an intensive period of child rearing. Come in for a catch up and a cocktail in the best bar in town. We are still here despite being totally hidden by the building site so pop in! We also have awesome three piece band The Travellators playing from 9pm. It is going to be an AWESOME night!

WE ARE SORRY Have all you lovely ladies and Gents seen the walkway outside riddles? If not. Its currently just a wet lump of cement! Meaning no way to walk down greenwood street. Let alone into the bar! We have been told it shall be dry by around 7 oclock when the doors shall re-open!
On the flip side. Why not pop down and make your place in history outside riddles. A cheeky footprint doesnt hurt anyone ;)

RIDDLES TAKES A DAY TRIP We were closed this tuesday to take a little trip to the @glengoyne distillery! It was what they call the 'silent week' where all operation stops and we have have a proper mooch around!
From the malting floor to the actual churning vats which create the 8% beer which then gets distilled into whisky! Its the second slowest distiller in scotland!!!
... ' The good stuff takes time yanoo!'
Sampling some of the cask strength then actually making some of our own blended whisky! It was a great day and an even better learning curve!!!

What's not to like great bar great drinks great people a must for a night with some class

We reserved the 2 front booths for a birthday celebration and everyone had a great time ! The cocktails were fabulous and our waiter was excellent so friendly, attentive and helpful with recommendations thanks for a great night !

The best place to drink for miles around! Bar staff are great and Del and Emma are fantastic hosts and they bring their personal touches to the bar. If you haven't been, you're missing out big time!!!

Simply the best wine bar in Altrincham/Hale area

I have been in many wine bars all over the world, but this one is just superb in every aspect, from cocktail, atmosphere to service!

Really like it here! Lovely, cosy atmosphere and very friendly staff. Good for a standing up night or sitting down and sharing a bottle of wine afternoon. We went here straight from the Town Hall after we got married and before the meal. Think anyone would love it here.

I actually love this place. Best place in Altrincham! Just arrived home after a great night out celebrating the husbands birthday and couldn't have asked for a better night. Brilliant atmosphere, cocktails and company. Thanks Riddles

Great place, great beer, great cocktails (so my wife tells me). A must if you're in Altrincham.

First time yesterday, its nice to go somewhere different, it was quiet and we received great attention from the bar man, i tried the Halloween special cocktail which was pumpkin i think and it was fab, my friend ordered a cocktail which they didn't do but the barman happily made it for him and he served how he wanted it (as he is very fussy �). My husband just had a beer but they were all fab, we will return soon. Thanks

Blooming fantastic bar. From the first night it ever opened, i have enjoyed it's alcoholic stylings. A great, chilled spot in Altrincham.

Best Bar in Altrincham, by far. Amazing atmosphere and staff are very friendly. Definitely would recommend a visit to everyone.

Amazing cocktails, great bar tenders & service. Thoroughly recommend the strawberry & lime martini although you can't really go wrong!

Really nice place with really good cocktails... but more normal level tables and chairs rather than tall bar stools please for us shorties!

Excellent vibe even on a not so busy Saturday afternoon. Was after a pint of stubborn mule but Brewer had changed premises so none had arrived. I was recommended Brooklyn which I had tasted before and was very gluggable . Only gripes were the lighting was dark and lugubrious and the customers her me were wannabe housewives of Cheshire as I overheard them dying they had met them!

Barman was Rude at Refused To Change My Drink Service Wasn't Great Either
