You are never too old to take on an epic challenge. Gordon and Ken have just finished a 6156km ride half way round Australia. They rode from Townsville, Queensland to Perth in WA in just under 11 weeks, finishing their ride 2 days ago. The were supported by a vehicle for a total of 3 weeks of the trip, the rest of the time self supported.
Gordon, 74, is a customer of ours, we serviced his bike and packed it up for the plane. As far as we know there were no mechanicals! We are looking forward to his return to hear his stories from the tour. We also can’t wait to see what they have planned next!
If you have any adventures planned we would love to hear about them, no matter how big or small.

Just had a new group set fitted by Dan and his team, fantastic job, very quick, keep up the good work guys.

I’m up from Devon to visit the Lakes with my girlfriend for some biking and hiking for a week. We bumped into Dan, Jenny, Liz and Jack from DC Cycles in the car park at Torver as we were about to start our first ride of the week. We were a little hesitant as we don’t know the area at all! It is a ride that included a loop around Fox Haw and then up to Walna Scar and back down to Torver. Although we weren’t on one of their “official” guided tours we were treated as if we were! They guided us through the first section of wood before we got our bearings at Stephenson Ground. We had an OS map etc but there is no substitute for their super knowledge of the local area! If you’re thinking of getting some guides for the area, regardless of your ability, they are extremely good riders, great fun and above all the friendliest people you’ll come across….but as Dan said…..”If you’re riding a mountain bike, the chances are you will be friendly!” Thanks again for making our day awesome! We will have lasting memories of the views, single track and the killer climb up Walna Scar side! I think the hardest climb I’ve ever done but I cleared it and I’m still smiling!
