Do you love Gin? We do and demonstrate it by having our own gin on optic together with our 3 nearest gins. With our gin cabinet we now stock 80 gins from around the world, and have the oldest styles together with the very latest.

Rigby’s Farmhouse Gin...... Iain’s own recipe has been produced by a local distillery and the first sample bottle has just landed a premium gin with a rhubarb and citrus (mainly orange) twist.

“Houston, we have a problem!” After my visit today to the Wirral Distillery I have added three local gins to my ever growing collection, the problem being I have no space left in my cabinet for them...... A floral Lancashire Gin with a hint of rose petals, a superb spicy Ormskirk Gin and a Dry Bakewell Gin (Cherry & Almond).

Following a short break down South last week we have added to the Gin collection. We now stock all 4 Bombay Gins and more unusually TOAD Gin from Oxford, like Cuckoo Gin The Oxford Artisan Distillery use their own grain making them truly masters of their craft.

Home-made Shortbread made this morning (Thank-you Scottish Norma for the recipe) ready for our new dessert using Bond’s Gingerbread ice-cream and Stem Ginger.

Went last night with 2 friends & had an amazing meal, the steaks are amazing & the staff very friendly.Its our favourite place for a special meal

We were a party of eleven ladies having a two course evening meal. Fantastic meal all enjoyed it all home cooked and I must praise the staff very helpful and friendly. Cosy atmosphere to sit in. I must mention that the waitress called Emma was so helpful to one of the ladies brought her a cushion for her back to sit at the chair well done. Will be coming back again x

Very relaxed place service excellent and the meat is quality my fillet steak was cooked to perfection generous portions especially the mixed grill and I love getting veg and potatoes separate we come from Manchester to have a lovely meal with friends five stars from me

Rigbys farmhouse is a really nice old fashioned restraunt me my fiance and dad loved the beautiful food had a lovely Sunday dinner the service is very good also has disabled toilet which for me was ideal i would just like to say a huge thank you to all the staff and owner you were all very kind and helpful . Defiantly recommended to friends and family ☺

Outstanding food from the warm bread presented at the table on arrival, to the fantastic soup for starter and the choc fudge cake dessert.

The steak deserves it very own paragraph!! Cooked to perfection with home cooked chunky chips and pepper sauce - it was to die for.

The service was exceptional and it was an all round fantastic experience with my wife, who enjoyed it equally as much.

Finally - we got the bill and found it to be a lot less than we anticipated.

Rigby's - we'll see you again next week and no doubt the week after that also.

8 of us dined tonight. Been coming here for years. It's always excellent food and plenty of it. I had hake and a large piece it was too!! Thanks Iain Louise and girls fantastic meal and service xx

Really disappointed tonight, been going to rigbys for years but tonight we went for our anniversary and we ordered a bottle of red and as I just topped our glasses up I noticed that the bottle was broken and could feel the ridge where it had cracked. I notified the waitress and after 5 minutes returned to say that after everybody had examined it with a magnifying glass that it was just a flaw in the glass and it was fine so we left our meals and ordered the bill. We had only had a glass and a half out the bottle and had to leave the rest. Other than that our meals were good except my daughters gammon which you could have made a pair of flip flops out of.
