About Rimmers Music Wigan
As one of most respected musical instrument retailers in the UK, we have eight retail outlets in the North West and one in Edinburgh, each with its own music school.
Rimmers Music Wigan Description
Here at Rimmers Music Wigan, we sell a fantastic range of musical instruments for all the family. Upon entering the shop you'll be met with our fantastic digital piano & keyboard area, featuring all of the latest models from Yamaha & Casio, as well as the occasional used and secondhand bargains.
With a thriving local scene we have a fantastic selection of ukulele and other folk instruments for players of all ages and ability levels. We also have our hi-tech and home recording area, with mixers, synths, speakers and interfaces from Focusrite, Novation & KRK set up ready to try.
Travelling upstairs, we have our guitars, amps, drums and PA areas, with a wide range of instruments and equipment for all styles of playing. We sell both digital and acoustic drum kits with some of each set up ready to try out in store from the likes of Roland, Medeli and Spur. For all types of guitarists, we have a great variety of instruments, starting with Admira student classical guitars, through to electrics and basses from G& L, Gretsch, Squier and LTD. To make these heard we also have a great range of guitar amplifiers from Blackstar, as well as our effects pedal cabinet for you to experiment with different sounds.
In order to help you play these fantastic musical instruments, we can teach you to play at our Wigan Rimmers Music School! Situated above the store, we offer private half hour lessons for piano, keyboard, guitar, drums, clarinet and vocals. Our guitar teaches are also more than happy teach some of the folk instruments we sell, such as ukulele, banjo and mandolin. Whichever instrument you choose, you're entitled to a FREE trial lesson when you purchase any instrument in store!

My son Dylan learns guitar with Alan here and he absolutely loves it. Couldn't recommend them highly enough, we upgraded his guitar last weekend and Joe in the shop was excellent in helping us decide which guitar to upgrade to. Keep it up.
My lads have Bass and Guitar lesson with Kev Bates. Brilliant teacher.
Having bought the Cubase 8/Focusrite products from Rimmers Wigan, I'd like to thank Kev Atherton for all is help with the products, I highly recommend both Rimmers as a Music store and Kev Atherton as my guiding light to understanding the whole thing - see you all soon.
