Went in this this lunchtime with my husband and three year old son to eat. Was really nice, cheese and onion pie was lovely and hubbys burger looks great too, kids portions are massive. Will defo be back to try more of the menu. Service was cracking too.

User

We were in here on Friday evening for drinks for a birthday and Callum, Jo and the rest of the staff were brilliant, they couldn’t do enough for us and made sure we all had a really good night. It was a great atmosphere with good beer and excellent food. Would recommend! (Especially the chicken burger)

User

We went on Sunday after a friend recommended us, the food was fantastic and what a lovely atmosphere, we were made to feel really welcome, we enjoyed it so much that we're going again this weekend, we're so lucky to have this pub at the end of our road x

User

We went in The Rising Sun on Wednesday evening this week for a family meal for my Mum's birthday, it was excellent!

There were seven of us and everyone enjoyed their meals. We had a few starters between us, everyone had mains and then a few puds.

Four of us had the steak and each one was cooked perfectly, 2 medium rare and 2 well done. I had the Supreme Burger which was excellent, I'd be tempted to have it again next time.

The menu is quite small, which is good, but still has a very good variety of choices.

Stuart, the landlord, is a very nice chap. Very welcoming and looked after us for the 3 hours we were there.

Just 2 little things to mention.....A few thought the portion of chips with the meals were quite small (I had fries with my burger and there were plenty), and there were only a couple of desert available which was a shame.

Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable evening with great food!

I do hope Stuart and The Rising Sun do well, it's good to have the local pub back serving very good pub grub again.

We'll be back very soon to try some of the other things on the menu.

Cheers,

Dave.

User

We had a large family party last night, we all had a meal and the food was amazing. The first time i have been here in a long time, but have to say, great to have our local pub back.

Stuart was very welcoming to his new customers, good luck

User

We came in yesterday with all our rabble and the staff were extremely accommodating! They made room for us at the last minute so we could all sit together for Xmas eve. We had such a lovely afternoon! The sweet bags were a hit!!

User

I would just like to say a big thank you to the lovely couple at the pub today I needed to go to the loo while at Bredbury rail station and they refused (even though I showed them my disability card which clearly states I need to go when I need too) Anyway I called in at the rising sun like the train guard instructed and even though they were closed the lady let me in to use the loo and I didn't even need to show my disability card saving my humiliation of an accident I'm glad some folk have a heart and in today's day and age all companies should be disability aware and compassionate to EVERYONES needs

User

Had a lovely afternoon with great food and Jo and the rest of the staff were very welcoming to us with young children and the pooch. Looking forward to our next visit *****

User

Great place. New management and lovely big Sunday meals with lots of everything. Also now the free WiFi is going.

User

Great place, Food, atmosphere, and the staff are so welcoming. Lovely place child and dog friendly also. Fab time had by all. x

User

Great pint and food looks lovely, and Jacey the bar maid is brilliant and friendly

User

Great little local. Great food and great staff. Just 50 yards from us so in there often. Also child friendly which is always a plus

User

Fab atmosphere lovely food. Always been my favourite pub in Bredbury.

User

Excellent service and atmosphere. Whilst there is no gluten free on the menu staff went through the menu options so I knew what to have. Whilst you can't go wrong with a fillet steak I have to say this was the best steak I have has in a long time! Will be back! x

User

Bought a Groupon Voucher for my mum & dad for one of their Christmas presents and used it today. We hadn't been here before and didn't really know what to expect.

What a lovely cosy pub. The staff were welcoming and the Manager/Landlord was so friendly.

The Groupon was a steak meal & wine.

The Rump Steak was served with homemade chips, onion rings, mushrooms & tomatoes. The steak melted in your mouth - one of the best we'd tasted for a long time.

We would definitely recommend The Rising Sun and will be back again soon.

Thank You Andrea, Bob, June & Jack x

User

Awesome experience!!

Just been in for some food, all day breakfast was amazing, followed by a cheeky ice cream sundae... to die for!!!

Great atmosphere and Emily (I think... I heard someone call her that) behind the bar is fantastic big smiles, great laugh, and made sure everything was to our liking

Definitely coming again

User

We ate here last night & wasn't disappointed, it was the nicest chicken pie I've had in a long time and my husband had steak pie, it was just as good. The staff are really friendly and welcoming. Second meal here since the new management took over and have been impressed.

User

We especially called in for the Sam Smith tribute act He was very good!! The pub was far too hot and cramped people talking and cackling over the act I know you can't control who comes in the pub but I feel measures should be taken to reduce the heat ie fans etc

User

Terrible customer service and rude bar staff. Just took my mum here for lunch with a Groupon. The girl behind the bar refused to accept it - despite it being valid until 6th March . Plus this booking was made months ago and no one telephoned or emailed to inform us of any changes. This experience ruined our day.
