We have just purchased an apartment at Turtles beach Hurghada through Rivermead Global and today was our first visit. Our transport from our hotel to the passport office was all laid on for us where we were met by Neil and Garry from Rivermead and also there was our solicitor, Mr Remon. Mr Remon, Neil and Garry saw us through the whole procedure and made it all very easy for us. We were then taken to have our signature registration and various legalities, ( which without the help and guidance of Neil and Mr Remon we don't know how we would of coped?). After the legalities were done, we were joined by Tom,(also of the Rivermead team), and taken to lunch in El Gouna, where we had a lovely lunch and had the opportunity to ask all sorts of questions. After lunch we were then taken to view our apartment where we were met by a representative of the construction company who answered more questions. We were shown all around. When it was time to return to the hotel transport was again arranged. The Rivermead team have been excellent in every way, nothing is to much trouble and in my opinion they go way beyond what you would expect from customer care, Thanks guys, from Pete and Susan...Oh and they are taking us out on a boat trip too..? Fantastic, thanks again...

Saga of WWD/El Riad

In March 2007 I contracted to buy an apartment in Hurghada on the Desert Pearl/Coral Sea Pearl Project from El Riad through WWD on the Desert Pearl/Coral Sea Pearl resort. I paid the initial holding fee of £4000.00 and subsequently a further £13600.00 to make up the deposit; I also paid £4500.00 to D’elise designs as half payment of the furniture. I received a letter dated 20th June 2008, the first line stating” further to the recent tragedy in Brazil”, this was the first indication I had regarding the death of the principle of WWD (Sean Woodhall) had died in a plane crash in Brazil. This letter went on to introduce several members of his family and stating they would be carrying on with the business. Next came a copy of a letter dated 29th Jull 2008 from WWD explaining that Mr Woodhall’s Egyptian Lawyer had seen an opportunity to take over the developments and business of WWD in Egypt along with a solicitors letter to the lawyer, Mr Mohamed Refeet (United Lawyers) asking him to stop sending inaccurate information to the WWD clients, and a further letter from El Riad stating that they had a strong relationship with WWD and for us to continue with our payment plans. After this all seemed to settle down and as far as I was aware all was well.

In the middle of 2009 WWD went into receivership and I was told would not be getting our apartment as there was no money in the WWD accounts. At this time D’elise design followed the same route but did pay back half of the original payment. This meant that they returned £2250 to me. I contacted the builders El Riad, Mohamed Hussein Mohamed, a partner in the company, advised they would honour the agreement and I would get my apartment. In the meantime I was lucky enough to come across a post on line from Mr Neil Hollingsworth of Rivermead Global who had sold some of the apartments and was gathering everyone in the same situation he could find together to fight for our rights. All other agents disappeared into the sunset, but Neil started the Hurghada Residents association website so that anyone who had been mixed up in this debacle could find a voice and hopefully some help. No other person or authority at this time was willing to look into this or offer help in any form including the UK Police and Government, WWD was a British company, or from the Egyptian government.

In looking into this further through the help of Neil and SNR Denton, a lawyer firm from London with offices in Cairo, both of whom has been invaluable, especially Neil Hollingsworth, in trying to resolve the issue for me and many others in sorting this since 2009. I paid a fee off £300 to SNR Denton for due diligence and searches and I received a due diligence report from SNR Denton (Egypt) stating:

1, There was a mortgage held on the land that Desert Pearl 1 was built on, therefore under Egyptian law these apartments should not have been sold.

2, the apartments at Desert Pearl 1 had also been sold 2 or in some cases 3 times.

3, the ownership of the land that Desert Pearl 2 and Coral Sea Pearl were being built on was in dispute because another party was claiming ownership and so again the apartments should not have been sold.

4, Because of the land ownership dispute, Desert Pearl 2 and Coral Sea Pearl will not be completed until the dispute has gone through the court system. Which to date has not happened, there is no guarantee for me at the end of the court case.

5, the contract we had been given and had signed we were told, was not legal under Egyptian law because it had been signed by the developers and buyers only. Under Egyptian law the contract needed to be signed by the buyer, developer, the builders and the land owner if different from the builders. Also any contract also needs to be in both English and Egyptian, and checked that both read the same as the Egyptian part of the contract is the one that is binding in the Egyptian court system.

Throughout Mr Mohamed Hussein was continuing to advise that my apartment was safe and I would get it, but nothing seemed to be happening in the Coral Sea Pearl site.

Because of all the issues with, Desert Pearl 1-2 and Coral Sea Pearl In 2010 it was suggested that all people who had contracts with WWD for Desert Pearl 1 & 2 and Coral Sea Pearl be transferred to the Pyramids Beach project, and Dentons did Due Diligence on the land and project. I paid them the sum of £2040 on 24th February 2011 for the Due Diligence, searches and contract for Pyramids Beach. This was a lengthy process and the first part was received on 20011. Mr Yasser Ibrahim, the owner and major partner of El Riad was accused of selling the apartments in Desert Pearl 1 twice, and in some cases three times. According to Mr Mohamed Hussein he also took money from the El Riad accounts and started a project in Cairo, leaving Mr Mohamed Hussein to sort out the problems in Hurghada. Mr Mohamed Hussein spent several months in prison while he sorted out these problems but this did not help us at all.

In 2012 Mr Mohamed Hussein decided to split from El Riad and Mr Yasser Ibrahim because of the prison term and the fact that Mr Ibrahim could not be contacted. This was done legally and Dentons did a due diligence on the new company and the paperwork relating to the transfer of Pyramids Beach to Mr Mohamed Hussein’s new company, Enjoy Red Sea as an addition to the Due Diligence already done. Mr Ibrahim was detained but the Egyptian police and found to have several aliases. I’m not sure if it is known now, which name is correct.

Every step of the way Neil Hollingsworth has been pushing and prodding Mr Mohamed Hussein to get paperwork and work done, and eventually, this year, we as a collective group received contracts for our apartments in Pyramids Beach. By this time I was getting nervous about sending further money out to Egypt because I was beginning to wonder if Mr Mohamed Hussein had the will and the knowledge to complete the project. Also during this period my husband had developed a life changing lung condition (C.O.P.D.) and had just been diagnosed with Bladder Cancer so really needed a time when the project would be finished before I made up my mind about moving forward. Neil contacted me and gave me the option to stay with the project with no known finish date or he would speak to another builder and see what he could get another apartment for. He came back via email on the 1st April 2014 with a smaller apartment on Nour Plaza (2 bed instead of 3) but one nearing completion and I decided to go with that.

The Apartment is now mine and being completed then Neil’s guys will go in and fit the kitchen and place the furniture. There has been a marked difference in the process with this apartment and builder and El Riad, Pyramids Estate are so much more efficient and the Lawyer, Neil advised was very thorough and helpful. Best of all I’m out from under the dark shadow of El Riad.

Throughout the years, Mr Neil Hollingsworth has been a true shining light in all the darkness that was WWD and El Riad. He has worked diligently, with will and passion to try and sort the mess out and has not taken a penny from any us, although we all would have gladly paid toward his expenses. He is a man of true integrity who I would trust implicitly. I thank him with all my heart for getting me to a satisfactory end to this sorry saga and will always count him a true friend.

As a follow up to this saga, I have just returned from my first holiday in my apartment, and could not be more thrilled with it. Both the apartment and the furnishings are beautiful and Rivermeads man on the spot in Hurghada, Gary, was very helpful and informative.

I have also found out since I excepted the price of the apartment that Rivermead Global waived their commission to bring the price down to an amount I could afford after loosing the £17600.00 to WWD and El Riad. I think you will agree that there are not many companies who would be willing to do this to help a client.

Our original dream of buying a holiday apartment on a luxury resort in the Red Sea in Egypt turned very bitter. The developer, the agent and the solicitor involved helped to create the nightmare that followed... with a potential loss of almost £20,000.



After much anguish and wrangling, we got an offer of almost 70% of our money back but in Egyptian Pounds, which we later discovered was extremely difficult to transfer out of the country in Pounds or Euros.



Our Guardian Angels, in the form of Rivermead Global, stepped in at this stage, helping us deal with a dodgy solicitor and hundreds of Egyptian Pounds in cash, which we did not even know how to count properly!!!



Both Neil electronically from the UK and Garry in the flesh, on the ground in Egypt, smoothed the passage to a much more modest but much sounder 5 star beachfront investment in Al Ayhaa. Certainly, buying in Egypt has its risks and there are a lot of sharks out there. But the climate, the attractions of the Red Sea and value-for-money do make it extremely attractive.



The Team at Rivermead Global really bent over backwards to help us in our dilemma and to regain the confidence to stick to our original objective. Having tralled the internet and forums, we would not have trusted anybody else.



Albeit, much smaller, we believe we have a better proposition than our original one and we look forward to returning to Egypt soon. A big thank you to Neil and Garry in particular who acted as chauffeur, minder, chaperone, organiser, problem solver and anything else that we needed during our stay!

Nach meinem Entschluss in Hurghada zu kaufen, hatte ich Kontakte zu sehr vielen Eigentümern und Maklern. Ich bakam die unterschiedlichsten Angebote und Auskünfte. Einer dieser Makler war Rivermead Global Property. Und hier fühlte ich mich von Anfang an aufgehoben. Sie gaben sich unendliche Mühe mit immer neuen Vorschlägen, die eine, richtige Wohnung für mich zu finden. Ich wurde nicht gedrängt und hatte Zeit in aller Ruhe zu entscheiden.



Von allen Seiten hörte ich, wie verrückt ich war in Ägypten zu kaufen und dann auch noch in einem Gebäude bei dem gerade erst mal der erste Spatenstich getan war. Aber bei Neil, Tom und Garry fühlte ich mich sicher aufgehoben. Und so war es dann auch. Sie halfen mir durch den langen Weg mit dem Rechtsanwalt, den ich ohne sie bestimmt aufgegeben hätte und sind von Anfang an immer für alle Fragen da. Die Antwort kommt immer sofort, dabei ist es egal, ob Wochenende oder spät abends. Ich glaube sie schlafen nie.



In Hurghada ist mir Garry jedesmal eine große Hilfe. Er geht mit mir auf die Baustelle. Besucht mit mir den Bauherrn und hilft mir da, meine Wünsche und Vorstellungen korrekt umzusetzen. Auch bei Fragen, die nur indirekt mit dem Gebäude zu tun haben, sonder eher mit dem Umzug oder das zukünftige Leben in Ägypten ist er immer hilfsbereit für mich da. Ja, er hat sogar schon einen kleinen Teil meines zukünftigen Hausstandes bei sich in Verwahrung. Ich freu mich schon auf unser nächstes Treffen im Cafe Costa.



Mittlerweile steht das Haus, die Wände haben schon Farbe, die ersten Fenster und Türen sind gesetzt und ich war auch schon mehrmals in meiner Wohnung und auf meinem Balkon. Noch immer gibt es genügend Menschen, die mir einreden wollen, dass das niemals klappen wird, ich weder Green Contract noch Visum bekommen werde. Aber ich bin ganz entspannt. Ich weiß auf das Team von Rivermead Global Property kann ich mich voll und ganz verlassen. Wir werden auch die nächsten Monate gemeinsam gehen und vielleicht auch die Wohnung gemeinsam einrichten.

For all intents and purposes, Elolo Kumodzi is my name. While I hail from little Togo, ensconced between Benin and Ghana in outlandish West Africa, I re-located to East Africa in 2004 . After several years on the African circuit as a free lance interpreter, I developed a keen interest in real estate investments in particular and business as a whole. That is how in December 2011, I was introduced to a certain Neil Hollingsworth of Rivermead Global Property. I immediately perceived his company as a credible company worth partnering with.

Convinced that “nothing ventured, nothing gained’, I threw caution to the wind and I decided to make a purchase for my daughter Mildred on her 18th birthday at Tiba Paradise in Hurghada. The entire process took off on 23 December 2011 with Rivermead Global Property’s excellent team coordinated by Neil. Relaying one another in one task after the other, the team members all played a central role in the process by providing explanations promptly and wise investment counsel spontaneously. By dint of hardwork and commitment, they convinced me to shift from the one bedroom apartment I originally committed myself to buying to a 2 bedroom apartment to the delight of my daughter who became a proud owner of that property once the project was completed.

We also enjoyed their advice and assistance in choosing and fixing the furniture in October 2013.

I have been involved in purchasing property abroad for the past 15 years. After my acquaintance with Rivermead Global Property, for the very first time, a fruitful financial transaction was hitch-free. While I was cooling my heels in quiet Arusha, Tanzania, Neil Hollingsworth, Tom Yates and Garry Hubbard stirred their brains, flexed their muscles and got the job done for my daughter and I.

I travelled to Hurghada on 22nd February 2016 having done some research on property companies and had a viewing on 25th February with the lovely Garry who picked me up from my hotel.



Being a lone woman traveller I was a bit cautious but very excited about the prospect of purchasing a property. I had no need to be cautious Garry was great no hard sell a genuine guy who is clearly passionate about what he does.



The build quality spoke for itself and I knew immediately this was the company I wanted to do business with. I had a small limited budget but Garry went the extra mile to find me a studio with a pool view which exceeded my expectations. Within an hour I had viewed the properties and decided on TIBA Nouria , had a coffee, visited the developer's office and paid my reservation fee.

And they don't just take your money and leave you to it they continue to help out with any queries or problems after sale. For no charge I might add. They have been equally helpful recently in re-selling my apartment after my husband sadly died unexpectedly. For a very reasonable commission they posted it on several property websites, did viewings, found a buyer and liaised between her and myself, sorted out all the legal stuff which wasn't straightforward as the apartment was in joint names and my husband didn't leave a will in Egypt. Their solicitor here Mr Remon Nazih is a star and very trustworthy he quoted me a price for all the legal work and didn't charge me a penny more even though there were a few "glitches" which involved extra work for him. I first came across Rivermead Global after looking on the internet and researching apartments for sale in Hurghada. Out of all the agents I was in contact with, Rivermead came out on top, they had good reviews and I liked what I read.



I booked into a hotel and was picked up by Garry who showed me around the various properties, took me to lunch in El Gouna, he was very helpful, polite and very punctual, he even got me out of a very sticky situation when my debit card was wrongly blocked and lent me the money straight away.

I did not think it was possible to feel so comfortable dealing with a company basically through email. Not only is it possible but Rivermead went above and beyond and provided us the best service we've ever received ANYWHERE. Everything went exactly as we were told it would. I bought an off plan property in Hughada Egypt through another British property agent.

In 2013 I visited my property which was already 3 years behind schedule. I discovered that my property no longer existed, however I was offered another property which in my opinion was not as desirable. I wanted a reduction of property price and to cut a long story short no agreement could be made and I paid a substancial amount of money to a lawyer to fight my case in court.

Three years down the line no progress was being made. I found myself waiting months for court cases to arrive to find I had to jump through another hoop and produce more evidence for the court (bank receipts etc)

The whole situation was very depressing to say the least. One day I decided to ask Neil Hollingworth from Rivermead Global for advice.Neil was very helpful from the onset. He contacted the developer in question and got a discussion started between us. Eventually I made an offer on the property which I felt was very fair. The developer rejected the offer. We have just purchased an apartment at Turtles beach Hurghada through Rivermead Global and today was our first visit. Our transport from our hotel to the passport office was all laid on for us where we were met by Neil and Garry from Rivermead and also there was our solicitor, Mr Remon. Mr Remon, Neil and Garry saw us through the whole procedure and made it all very easy for us. We were then taken to have our signature registration and various legalities, ( which without the help and guidance of Neil and Mr Remon we don't know how we would of coped?). After the legalities were done, we were joined by Tom,(also of the Rivermead team), and taken to lunch in El Gouna, where we had a lovely lunch and had the opportunity to ask all sorts of questions. After lunch we were then taken to view our apartment where we were met by a representative of the construction company who answered more questions. We were shown all around. When it was time to return to the hotel transport was again arranged. Saga of WWD/El Riad

In March 2007 I contracted to buy an apartment in Hurghada on the Desert Pearl/Coral Sea Pearl Project from El Riad through WWD on the Desert Pearl/Coral Sea Pearl resort. I paid the initial holding fee of £4000.00 and subsequently a further £13600.00 to make up the deposit; I also paid £4500.00 to D’elise designs as half payment of the furniture. I received a letter dated 20th June 2008, the first line stating” further to the recent tragedy in Brazil”, this was the first indication I had regarding the death of the principle of WWD (Sean Woodhall) had died in a plane crash in Brazil. This letter went on to introduce several members of his family and stating they would be carrying on with the business. Next came a copy of a letter dated 29th Jull 2008 from WWD explaining that Mr Woodhall’s Egyptian Lawyer had seen an opportunity to take over the developments and business of WWD in Egypt along with a solicitors letter to the lawyer, Mr Mohamed Refeet (United Lawyers) asking him to stop sending inaccurate information to the WWD clients, and a further letter from El Riad stating that they had a strong relationship with WWD and for us to continue with our payment plans. After this all seemed to settle down and as far as I was aware all was well.

In the middle of 2009 WWD went into receivership and I was told would not be getting our apartment as there was no money in the WWD accounts. At this time D’elise design followed the same route but did pay back half of the original payment. This meant that they returned £2250 to me. I contacted the builders El Riad, Mohamed Hussein Mohamed, a partner in the company, advised they would honour the agreement and I would get my apartment. In the meantime I was lucky enough to come across a post on line from Mr Neil Hollingsworth of Rivermead Global who had sold some of the apartments and was gathering everyone in the same situation he could find together to fight for our rights. All other agents disappeared into the sunset, but Neil started the Hurghada Residents association website so that anyone who had been mixed up in this debacle could find a voice and hopefully some help. No other person or authority at this time was willing to look into this or offer help in any form including the UK Police and Government, WWD was a British company, or from the Egyptian government.

In looking into this further through the help of Neil and SNR Denton, a lawyer firm from London with offices in Cairo, both of whom has been invaluable, especially Neil Hollingsworth, in trying to resolve the issue for me and many others in sorting this since 2009. I paid a fee off £300 to SNR Denton for due diligence and searches and I received a due diligence report from SNR Denton (Egypt) stating:

1, There was a mortgage held on the land that Desert Pearl 1 was built on, therefore under Egyptian law these apartments should not have been sold.

2, the apartments at Desert Pearl 1 had also been sold 2 or in some cases 3 times.

3, the ownership of the land that Desert Pearl 2 and Coral Sea Pearl were being built on was in dispute because another party was claiming ownership and so again the apartments should not have been sold.

4, Because of the land ownership dispute, Desert Pearl 2 and Coral Sea Pearl will not be completed until the dispute has gone through the court system. Which to date has not happened, there is no guarantee for me at the end of the court case.

5, the contract we had been given and had signed we were told, was not legal under Egyptian law because it had been signed by the developers and buyers only. Under Egyptian law the contract needed to be signed by the buyer, developer, the builders and the land owner if different from the builders. Also any contract also needs to be in both English and Egyptian, and checked that both read the same as the Egyptian part of the contract is the one that is binding in the Egyptian court system.

Throughout Mr Mohamed Hussein was continuing to advise that my apartment was safe and I would get it, but nothing seemed to be happening in the Coral Sea Pearl site.

Because of all the issues with, Desert Pearl 1-2 and Coral Sea Pearl In 2010 it was suggested that all people who had contracts with WWD for Desert Pearl 1 & 2 and Coral Sea Pearl be transferred to the Pyramids Beach project, and Dentons did Due Diligence on the land and project. I paid them the sum of £2040 on 24th February 2011 for the Due Diligence, searches and contract for Pyramids Beach. This was a lengthy process and the first part was received on 20011. Mr Yasser Ibrahim, the owner and major partner of El Riad was accused of selling the apartments in Desert Pearl 1 twice, and in some cases three times. According to Mr Mohamed Hussein he also took money from the El Riad accounts and started a project in Cairo, leaving Mr Mohamed Hussein to sort out the problems in Hurghada. Mr Mohamed Hussein spent several months in prison while he sorted out these problems but this did not help us at all.

In 2012 Mr Mohamed Hussein decided to split from El Riad and Mr Yasser Ibrahim because of the prison term and the fact that Mr Ibrahim could not be contacted. This was done legally and Dentons did a due diligence on the new company and the paperwork relating to the transfer of Pyramids Beach to Mr Mohamed Hussein’s new company, Enjoy Red Sea as an addition to the Due Diligence already done. Mr Ibrahim was detained but the Egyptian police and found to have several aliases. I’m not sure if it is known now, which name is correct.

Every step of the way Neil Hollingsworth has been pushing and prodding Mr Mohamed Hussein to get paperwork and work done, and eventually, this year, we as a collective group received contracts for our apartments in Pyramids Beach. By this time I was getting nervous about sending further money out to Egypt because I was beginning to wonder if Mr Mohamed Hussein had the will and the knowledge to complete the project. Also during this period my husband had developed a life changing lung condition (C.O.P.D.) and had just been diagnosed with Bladder Cancer so really needed a time when the project would be finished before I made up my mind about moving forward. Neil contacted me and gave me the option to stay with the project with no known finish date or he would speak to another builder and see what he could get another apartment for. He came back via email on the 1st April 2014 with a smaller apartment on Nour Plaza (2 bed instead of 3) but one nearing completion and I decided to go with that.

The Apartment is now mine and being completed then Neil’s guys will go in and fit the kitchen and place the furniture. There has been a marked difference in the process with this apartment and builder and El Riad, Pyramids Estate are so much more efficient and the Lawyer, Neil advised was very thorough and helpful. Best of all I’m out from under the dark shadow of El Riad.

Throughout the years, Mr Neil Hollingsworth has been a true shining light in all the darkness that was WWD and El Riad. He has worked diligently, with will and passion to try and sort the mess out and has not taken a penny from any us, although we all would have gladly paid toward his expenses. He is a man of true integrity who I would trust implicitly. I thank him with all my heart for getting me to a satisfactory end to this sorry saga and will always count him a true friend.

As a follow up to this saga, I have just returned from my first holiday in my apartment, and could not be more thrilled with it. Both the apartment and the furnishings are beautiful and Rivermeads man on the spot in Hurghada, Gary, was very helpful and informative.

I have also found out since I excepted the price of the apartment that Rivermead Global waived their commission to bring the price down to an amount I could afford after loosing the £17600.00 to WWD and El Riad. I think you will agree that there are not many companies who would be willing to do this to help a client.

Our original dream of buying a holiday apartment on a luxury resort in the Red Sea in Egypt turned very bitter. The developer, the agent and the solicitor involved helped to create the nightmare that followed... with a potential loss of almost £20,000.



After much anguish and wrangling, we got an offer of almost 70% of our money back but in Egyptian Pounds, which we later discovered was extremely difficult to transfer out of the country in Pounds or Euros.



Our Guardian Angels, in the form of Rivermead Global, stepped in at this stage, helping us deal with a dodgy solicitor and hundreds of Egyptian Pounds in cash, which we did not even know how to count properly!!!



Both Neil electronically from the UK and Garry in the flesh, on the ground in Egypt, smoothed the passage to a much more modest but much sounder 5 star beachfront investment in Al Ayhaa. Certainly, buying in Egypt has its risks and there are a lot of sharks out there. But the climate, the attractions of the Red Sea and value-for-money do make it extremely attractive.



The Team at Rivermead Global really bent over backwards to help us in our dilemma and to regain the confidence to stick to our original objective. Having tralled the internet and forums, we would not have trusted anybody else.



Albeit, much smaller, we believe we have a better proposition than our original one and we look forward to returning to Egypt soon. A big thank you to Neil and Garry in particular who acted as chauffeur, minder, chaperone, organiser, problem solver and anything else that we needed during our stay!

Nach meinem Entschluss in Hurghada zu kaufen, hatte ich Kontakte zu sehr vielen Eigentümern und Maklern. Ich bakam die unterschiedlichsten Angebote und Auskünfte. Einer dieser Makler war Rivermead Global Property. Und hier fühlte ich mich von Anfang an aufgehoben. Sie gaben sich unendliche Mühe mit immer neuen Vorschlägen, die eine, richtige Wohnung für mich zu finden. Ich wurde nicht gedrängt und hatte Zeit in aller Ruhe zu entscheiden.



Von allen Seiten hörte ich, wie verrückt ich war in Ägypten zu kaufen und dann auch noch in einem Gebäude bei dem gerade erst mal der erste Spatenstich getan war. In Hurghada ist mir Garry jedesmal eine große Hilfe. Er geht mit mir auf die Baustelle. Besucht mit mir den Bauherrn und hilft mir da, meine Wünsche und Vorstellungen korrekt umzusetzen. Auch bei Fragen, die nur indirekt mit dem Gebäude zu tun haben, sonder eher mit dem Umzug oder das zukünftige Leben in Ägypten ist er immer hilfsbereit für mich da. Ja, er hat sogar schon einen kleinen Teil meines zukünftigen Hausstandes bei sich in Verwahrung. Ich freu mich schon auf unser nächstes Treffen im Cafe Costa.



Mittlerweile steht das Haus, die Wände haben schon Farbe, die ersten Fenster und Türen sind gesetzt und ich war auch schon mehrmals in meiner Wohnung und auf meinem Balkon. Noch immer gibt es genügend Menschen, die mir einreden wollen, dass das niemals klappen wird, ich weder Green Contract noch Visum bekommen werde. Aber ich bin ganz entspannt. I wanted a reduction of property price and to cut a long story short no agreement could be made and I paid a substancial amount of money to a lawyer to fight my case in court.

Three years down the line no progress was being made. I found myself waiting months for court cases to arrive to find I had to jump through another hoop and produce more evidence for the court (bank receipts etc)

The whole situation was very depressing to say the least. One day I decided to ask Neil Hollingworth from Rivermead Global for advice.Neil was very helpful from the onset. He contacted the developer in question and got a discussion started between us. Eventually I made an offer on the property which I felt was very fair. The developer rejected the offer.
