User

We stayed in one of the hives for one night fab site 15 minutes drive to Southport. Lovely swimming pool sauna and steam room. Only downside was the on site shop was not open until 8.30am and closed early evening. The hive we stayed in was immaculate and fab facilities only thing I would suggest was a blind or curtain at the door as the sun was very bright in the morning. We would definitely book again thank you!

User

We live locally and visited the new outdoor play area today after school. Totally changed my whole opinion on the place it’s lovely and clean, everyone was so welcoming the shop is lovely we r def coming back for a Sunday roast. Can’t wait to come back and meet friends who live on site xx

User

We go in a Campervan so can only vouch for that side. This is the best holiday park around. Great value for money. Great facilities. Great location. We feel it has it all. Superb food, kids entertainment, splash park, children’s playground and great bars for mums and dads. The guys who run this site have heavily invested into it and it shows. If you don’t have a Campervan or caravan or even a static, check out the glamping pods they have installed they look awesome

User

Stayed in platinum van was awesome . Splash area and park clean and safe grandaughter loved them. The Bar and grill, food and drink was good prices and food was nice. Pool was ok but only went once. Would deff recommend this park staff work hard and were friendly. Will deff book again

User

My in-laws actually live on site in one of the statics. We have just spent the weekend there and had a fantastic bbq and family get together. The water /splash park is fantastic for the kid's and the bar is seconds away from it with benches nearby to soak up the sun. It's very secure and dog friendly. We live in Preston so every weekend feels like a mini holiday it's fantastic and forever improving. we are spending a week there in August and we can't wait!! Southport is a bus ride away and that'll be a day out or two, I highly recommend riverside as a great place to chill, relax and unwind.

User

Just got home after a weekend with a group of friends and kids in the new caravans on Blossom Court. Caravans were lovely, and so close to the park facilities. The park was great, the kids all loved it, and the swimming pool was warm and clean, and quiet enough for the children to all have lots of room to play. The bar/restaurant was great, kids enjoyed the disco and the atmosphere was lovely. All the staff were really friendly and the food was amazing! Huge portions, reasonably priced and really really gorgeous! Had a fab weekend, and will definitely book to come again.

User

Just come back from a 3 night break with 6 mums and 11 kids we had a really good time all staff couldn’t do enough for us looked after us, the food in bar on site was really nice an big portions. Thanks to Becky in bar too who helped us out with our car problem. Will definitely be returning. Baths was nice, play park was excellent and shop reasonably priced, caravans where clean and very comfortable. Ps from the yummy mummy’s

User

Caravan is amazing, bar serves lovely food including takeaway pizzas, beer is not expensive and it’s dog friendly, not used the swimming pool but it looks great and only a few mile from the beach, literally one straight road (:

User

Booked for 2 nights in one of the glamping Hives and wow how amazing! So cosy and modern. 2 big pull out double beds, fridge, hob and smart TV it even had built in Bluetooth speaks in ceiling. Great site too Bar and Grill although we didn't eat in there the food did look good. Was a children's entertainer on which my 2 year old loved he called him Mr Tumble Only thing was it was Card payment only at the bar. Little swimming pool and for adults there's a jacuzzi,Sauna and steam room also outdoor splash area and a park to keep the kids entertained. We enjoyed it that much we booked another night so did 3 nights. 10 mins bus ride away from Southport to. Lovely site with lovely staff will defo be returning xx

User

We had a lovely half term break here/ much better than I expected.

Pros / fab smart clean caravan everything you need.

Food massive portions good no wait at all

Splash park pool and play area great for kids and we will definitely be back our children loved it.

The shop fully stocked and lovely helpful shop keeper in there.

Being picky some more evening entertainment would be good and maybe some posters up with whats on in the day we were told we had missed a magic act.

Also not enough staff there this week but the ones that were are polite and work really hard they deserve a pat on the back running the kitchen and bar so well. Thanks Harrison holidays our Harrison loved his holiday with you and was well enough to enjoy it, We will be looking to return for sure.

User

We are just about to leave from our little break and has been a good 5 days.

Caravan was nice and clean as was most of the park.

Bin area a bit of a mess all the bins we full and over flowing

Splash pad and play areas are really good fun for our son

Pool is a bit naff but better than nothing.

Shop on camp is a rip off

And could do with an earlier check in time

But all in all a good week and nice site will be better when finished

User

The kids absolutely enjoyed the park! Weather was beautiful but unfortunately the lady at the pool area was so rude to us upon arrival we got put off to bother swimming. And with having to book and most slots full,We only swam once and had 4 kids to get ready after the swim and the lady was standing at the changing area door waiting for us to leave!

Water park is amazing and very clean! It’s near the bar and park so kids can be easily monitored. The bar stuff was lovely especially the manager, very chatting and I love that kids get free water throughout the day.

Soooooooo our accommodation was so far from the main park area, had to drive down most of the time! But accommodation was nice and clean although loads of hair in the carpets. Seems like it’s the previous occupants that cleaned up and not professional cleaners, we had to clean and scrub up the place too after seeing that it’s £50 cleaning fee if the place is not left in the state we found it!

We saw the park on group on rang up and got a platinum accommodation because they claimed the gold was fully booked! There was nothing platinum about our accommodation so watch out for that!

And finally we spent 3 days in the park without noticing or knowing there’s a convenient store that is FULLY stocked with all the essentials instead of driving 10mins to Morrisons which we had to do! A leaflet in the welcome pack letting people know there’s a shop with essentials would help a lot! Seriously the shop has almost everything from fire lighters, bread, vegetables, swimming equipment, toys and camping stuff. It needs more advertising!!!

I guess next time we have to book I’m advance to get our moneys worth and somewhere nearer to the waterpark. Would definitely return, best draft beer I have ever tasted

User

Stayed here a few times always pay for upgrade always lovely van on our last stay the van was stunning the plot however was unsafe & dangerous strange to site such a lovely van like that as only there weekend & late arrival Fri we stayed put was reported on leaving so hope been rectified we couldn’t sit out in the heat & if you had kids couldn’t have let them out..,review won’t let me upload pics

User

Just come back from a stay in one of the hives, the hive was fantastic. The food was lovely and massive portions in the bar and grill but the restaurant/bar needs a refurb, very dated. Also no entertainment for the kids of a night although advertised on Facebook as though there was to be. Other than that we had a fab time, especially the play park and splash pad.

User

I stayed here for a week in July with my kids , I was a bit apprehensive reading the reviews and it being so cheap compared to haven but I was very surprised the caravan was the best I have ever stayed in , there is a great park and outside splash zone for the kids , the staff were extremely helpful.

There isn’t to much entertainment in the evenings but I prefer that the only reason I haven’t give it 5stars is that the arcade wasn’t open .

I will definitely be returning here again

User

Very disappointed with the site it's gone down hill over the last 6 months.....

Well not actually the park itself

More of the younger generation

Actually riding through the play park on 50cc scooters ....

And mountain bikes .... pulling wheelies

Bit dangerous if ask me .....

Specialy with very young children and toddlers .. playing

And the language that comes out of them is absolutely terrible .... don't want my 4 year old round that

Never mind getting run over

Put us off going back really ......

The play ground should be barrierd off ....

For safety or something ......

User

I’ve just left riverside the static caravans and hives look lovely but we were in a tourer it looked like we were in the over flow bit very badly kept the waste drop off was a distant and the toilet and shower block was disgusting some of the facilities were dated but they are in the process of revamping outside the shop the bins was over flowing food and bottles everywhere it’s was bit disappointing and probably wouldnt go back unless in a static or hive

User

Well .. came home today from a 3 night stay in a platinum plus holiday home ... this itself was stunning very clean, modern and spacious.

However the customer service across the park is the worst I have dealt with, the lady at the check-in was extremely un welcoming, one of the bar staff even swore during my order too,

The park advertises a "Harrison's 21 bar" for adults only ... this however is closed .. with no explanation, and as a two adult party we did not wish our time to be spent in the kids club.

The park does have an "okay" swimming area .... however this must be booked in advance ... to which we wasn't informed about.

Last night on this Facebook page it was advertised "3 meat carvery" we eagerly went over to be rudely greated once again by bar staff to inform us there was no carvery on ... only a "Pork roast" however this had sold out by 2.00pm as did the carling and coors larger pumps on a lovely hot day like yesterday very dissatisfying to say the least !!

Upon reading the other reviews your staff require some level of customer care training, and you false advertisement of facilities need looking into, we will not be returning or recommending this park and will be contacting head office with regards to our sheer disappointment.

User

Just come back from a 5 day stay with our tourer - check in was quick and easy and staff very welcoming . We were given a menu for Harrisons Grill which advertised food being available until 8.30pm - My husband joined the queue at 7.30pm at the bar and after 15 mins reached the front of the queue to be told kitchen closed. Other negatives, we couldn't find any recycling facilities, only one set of bins for rubbish back towards reception which were always overflowing and the toilet block needs checking and cleaning more frequently .
