Would like to thank Nick, Mandy, Nigel, Laura, John, Chris and everyone else working on Monday. We went back to the Robin Hood after my mum funeral and were well looked after. The food and service was second to none and you couldnā€™t do enough for us. You made a very important day in our lives very special and we canā€™t thank you enough ļæ½ x

Just had to leave a note about Xmas Day. Wonderful, heartfelt & genuine welcome from all staff. Warm Christmas atmosphere continued throughout our stay too. Food, as ever, fantastic. The total epitome of high quality well cooked homely food. So massive thank to Nick and the gang, Nige & Laura ( sorry we didn't get chance to chat ) and Chris ( Boxing Day Duties ) hope to see you all very soon - Dan & Clare xx

User

I don't often leave reviews but felt I had to as the food was that good. It was probably the best pub meal I've ever had. Amazing home cooked food, both meals were perfect.

The staff were so friendly and polite and although there was a bit of a wait due to it being extremely busy, it was worth it. I'll definitely be back soon! ļæ½

User

Had the steak pie and it was very good and lots of tender beef the home made chips were the nicest I have had. Its a 10 from me.

User

Chicken and peppercorn sauce is to die for and the chips are out of this world. My family have the braised steak and liver and onions and they say it's delicious too. I have been coming here for years, friendly staff and not expensive. Shame on the people that have ONE bad experience and decide to slate the place.

User

Called in for lunch yesterday. We both had braised steak, mash & veg from the 2 for Ā£12 menu. Lovely hot meal and good value for the money. Would go again.

User

Beautiful home cooked food and the two for Ā£12 meal are excellent value

User

Another fab meal with friends. Lovely home-cooked food served by friendly staff.

User

A big thank you to Nick and his colleagues for hosting our family gathering, following my mother in lawā€™s funeral yesterday.

The staff were welcoming, caring, polite and helpful. The food was excellent- just as weā€™d hoped.

I would highly recommend the Robin Hood; a real family pub with good home cooking.

Thank you again.

User

staff really friendly. beer spot on. food Moorish. service brilliant. overall fantastic. thanks for a very enjoyable time

User

Been coming here for years never had a bad meal - wouldā€™ve been 5 stars but waiter/tress table service could be better - always have to break my neck to catch someoneā€™s eye to ask for ask for another drink or sauces etc Also service with a smile would be nice! Apart from that, love the Robin Hood. X

We went to the Lionel concert at the sports village last night. On our way we called in for a drink. The pub was full and the beer garden also was great.

However we were very disappointed that at 10.30pm on our way home we thought we'd call in again. Nope you were closed. Regulars were in having a drink but you had locked the doors.

Ridiculous. There were people outside willing to spend their money.

Very disappointed this is a lovely pub to.

User

They used to serve good meals here, but they seem to be trading on their reputation, and that won't last long if they continue to serve what we had yesterday. I ordered chilli and chips. The chips, while hot, were not freshly cooked (sorry guys, this one is obvious). The chilli was unbelievably bad. To charge Ā£7.50 for a dollop of brown muck with no beans or any other distinguishing feature takes some neck. When I complained, my meal was graciously exchanged for mushrooms in a sauce with chips, which was a slight improvement to mediocre. We also had complimentary drinks. The food is really not worth it.

User

The staff were lovely and extremely attentive. Unfortunately, the food was tasteless and rather underwhelming. I would not recommend eating at this pub. Great for a few drinks.

User

Had scampi it wasnā€™t cooked properly my husband had fish and chips fish which was nearly all batter!! Chips were greasy and over cooked.
