Lady Captain's Day winners. Sorry Louise, no picture on the day.

Another gorgeous evening for the 9 & Dine. It was the dreaded yellow ball comp. Amazing the effect that yellow ball has! The winners were the organisers, Steve and Anne Harrison, with Steve and Heather Denton, scoring way above the other teams. Geoff Knott, Jackie Glaze, Matt Murray and Audrey Jones came 2nd with 53.

A fabulous Lady Captain's Day at RGC. The winner was Audrey Jones with a net 67. In second place was Louise Meeks, nett 69, who was unable to attend the presentation. Third was Marcia Conway with 69 and the fourth prize was won by Rebecca Byle with 71 nett. Lots of prizes on offer from generous and very well organised Lady Captain Alison Reed. Thanks for a great day Alison. Hope you enjoyed it too.

St Anne's Old Links and Romiley played at Carden Park to celebrate their 40 year association. What a great weekend. Fantastic weather and some great golf and lots of friendly banter. Well done to Romiley, the winners. History in the making!

McMillan Longest Day Golf Challenge 2018
Iain Cole, Captain of Hazel Grove Golf Club, playing with Vice Captain Simon Ashton, Mick Jones and Pete Allen, set out at dawn this morning to play 18 holes at Bramall Park before moving to Romiley for the next 18, teeing off there at 8.25. A quick lunch at Romiley and then they’re off to Davenport, finishing off the last of the 72 holes at Hazel Grove.
President Audrey met the intrepid golfers and provided tea and cake half way rou...nd at Romiley, for which they were very grateful.
Around £2,000 has been raised so far but hoping for loads more for such a worthy cause. Good luck guys for the rest of the day's golf.

***DUNHAM MATCH*** The Romiley team went away to Houghwood Golf Club near St Helens. With an 8am first tee time the match’s were all closely contested with the overall result being decided on the first extra hole with a win for Romiley 4-3!!! Well done lads!

The new Captains and President teed off on the 10th on their first official competition. Captain Glyn Roberts, Lady Captain Alison Reed, President Audrey Jones and Junior Captain Harry Doyle had the best weather that could have been imagined.

Saturday, March 17th, 2018, has to be one of the strangest weather days at Romiley Golf Club. The first picture was taken at 15.50 hrs. What does it show? Clear blue skies. The second picture was taken just 5 minutes later at 15.55 hrs and resembles the coming of an Arctic storm. The flags on the putting green give a clue to the strength of the wind. There was no competition but several groups went out to play social golf. Yes! They were desperate. This pattern had persisted all day.

Had a brilliant day yesterday on my works Golf Day. The course was in good condition and the carvery afterwards was fantastic. Congratulations to all your staff for doing a great job yesterday and not forgetting the young lady in the half way house.

Great course that is well looked after, great greens, great staff, welcoming members, highly recommended. We all really enjoyed our day here.

Yes lovely course greens let it down would I pay 35 no doubt that but the people fantastic

Lovely course. Greens could be a little better but rest of the course is top condition. Staff very pleasant with time to talk to you and suggest how to play the holes
