Another little craft project i started yesterday and finished tonight for my shop. Wooden letters painted in silver and then used as stencils against my silver fabric wallpaper. Cut out the letters and glued onto the front to give them that wow factor 😍

My letter "R" is finished 😍😍

A lovely customer called into the shop last week to make a few purchases and asked me if i could get letters. She was after an "R". I suggested maybe purchasing one from Hobbycraft and blinging it up to suit. So she left it with me as i offered my help. Today i purchased the letter. I choose a Shabby Chic one with 5 lights, battery operated. I masked the bulbs up and painted it grey to give it an industrial look and then mixed silver and black glitter which i glued down in the middle section. I've put a 2nd level of glitter in the middle section to build it up. So far its looking spot on. Hopefully i'll get it finished tomorrow and post a picture of it lit up 🤩

October the 1st and almost Halloween 👻. I love this time of the year! So i thought i would share a brief piece of history about Halloween.
Halloween's origins date back to the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain. The Celts celebrated their new year on November 1st. This day marked the end of summer and the harvest and the beginning of the dark, cold winter, a time of year that was associated with human death. Celts believed that on the night before the new year, the boundary ...between the worlds of the living and the dead become blurred. On the night of October 31st they celebrated Samhain, when it was believed that the ghosts of the dead returned to earth. Families would leave food out to appease the spirits and prevent misfortune when old souls returned. By the 16th century, people would dress up in ghostly costumes and visit neighbours perhaps to collect food on behalf of the spirits. Also imitating dead souls gave protection from spirits who might have caused harm. So, even though we now use the holiday as an excuse to dress up and throw a party, Halloween has been celebrated and honoured for at least a 1000 years and will continue to do so for many more.
On another note although i stock Furniture & Gifts i have sourced a Supplier who can provide Halloween Costumes for Children and Adults. There are too many to list so i will post some popular ones but if there's anything in particular your child is after get in touch and i'll see if i can get it.

This is no ordinary Glitter Wallpaper that you can purchase from a DIY Shop like B & Q or Taskers. This is heavy duty Fabric material and comes in a 10metre roll, 148cm wide. It took one roll to complete this feature wall 😍😍

Opened an hr later today. Kids were at Gymnastics. I'm only open till 2pm. I have family visiting and were off to the Fireworks. Bck open Monday at 11am

Mirror still for sale. I have it resting but it has a stand that pulls out. This is a one off and surprised its still here. Was reduced to £140 some time ago but now reduced to £100 as i need the space. I cant go any lower on the price as im particulary giving it away 🙈
