December Departure is a day of Remembrance and Thanks.
For all those who served, for those that gave their all, for those that made it home safe and for you who help us continue to keep their memories alive.
The 94th BG flew more than 300 missions from Rougham and were one of the last units to leave England on 11th December 1945.
... Please join us for a service and parade at 11.00 at the Memorial.
We are pleased to say that Linda Scoles will be giving a talk, followed by a buffet/hot food/refreshments and raffle in the tea room.
We will also have Clifford Hall, historian and author, kindly doing his talk and slide show too.
Hopefully, we will not have the same amount of snow and freezing temperature we had last year! The tearoom has central heating now!
All welcome.

We had a bank debit card handed in to the Tower today by a visitor who found it on the airfield. If it belongs to you, please contact us and we will gladly return it, once identity has been confirmed! If it hasn't been claimed by the end of the week we will hand it into the bank. We are hoping to save you having it cancelled! .

We had the pleasure of showing an 8th Air Force veteran around Rougham Tower Museum today. Doug Ward was a ball turret gunner on B17's, although not with the 94th, he flew out of Italy and then with the 364th Sqdn, 305 BG based at Chelveston, he flew 37 missions with a total of 358.35 hours. He is a spritely 94 years young and still drives a car and flies his own aircraft. It was a pleasure and an honour to have met you and Jodie and many thanks for the book (Turret Tales) of your life, my personal copy will be donated on long term loan to the Rougham Tower Library so members can enjoy it. Thank you for your service, sir.
