Ryders Farm Equestrian Centre Description

Ryders Farm is a family run business, established by 25 years ago by Sarah Fitton, a BHS Stage 5 performance coach in Complete Horsemanship. We are a BHS approved Riding School and Livery Yard, an Official Pony Club Centre and approved by the Local Authority.

We specialise in riding lessons for all ages and abilities, encouraging people to enjoy the sport of riding and love horses as we do. We are always happy to see new faces (and old friends) and you are welcome to visit our yard, but please, no dogs. We know sometimes the urge to see, touch, talk to and yes, even smell a pony, is overwhelming so even if you’re not riding feel free to visit us, feed the ducks, chat to others on the yard, have a coffee and enjoy yourself.

Our most valued resource at the centre is our team. Our instructors, yard staff, reception and admin are all dedicated to ensure that your experience at Ryders Farm Equestrian Centre – whether owner, visitor, student, parent, rider , horse or pony - is one which you enjoy and treasure.

PONY CAMP SUMMER 2018! IS HERE 🎉
Our first ride has enjoyed a flatwork lesson this morning, now enjoying a hack round the fields to finish off 🐴 Lots more riding this morning and lots of activities, we are busy bees 🐝

User

THE WAIT IS OVER! Summer Camp 2018 starts tomorrow - and we are so excited 🎉
The weather is set to be warm again this week with the odd shower so can we ask everyone comes equipped with enough sun cream, caps & waterproofs etc. to be ready for the weather! Can you also please ensure all belongings are clearly labelled and avoid bringing phones etc where possible as we don’t want anything getting lost - and they usually find a way! 🤣
We will be keeping everyone updated on our... pages with all the fun we get up to so keep an eye out 👀 We have lots planned for this busy week and we will give plenty of heads up tomorrow if anyone needs to bring anything extra for the weeks activities!
See you all tomorrow at 9am! Please remember pick up is at 4pm each day 😄
See More

There is suddenly a big queue to the washroom after Jenny’s flatwork lesson! We think she may have worked everyone quite hard this morning ( 😂 ) so we’re looking at the best care after excercise for the horses - and discussing how and why it is so important to properly cool them down 🐎 💦

Ryders has been part of my daughter's life for the last 7yrs. She would like to thank Sarah, Jenny and Connor for all their support and her friends for all the great time she's had there xxx

User

My daughter mika has been having rideing lessons here for about 2or3 years she absolute ly loves it it's the high light of her week she's still a bit wary of some of the horses and needs more confidant and the staff are always there to help.

User

My daughter loves this place she goes twice a week very friendly

User

My daughter has been riding here for about 3 years now. She came from another riding school where she had been riding for 2 years but wasn't progressing. Here at Ryders Farm Jenny has helped build up her confidence and ability to ride and jump any horse she is put on. The horses and ponies here are all very well looked after and in excellent condition. All the staff, especially Jenny, who is an instructor and assistant manager, are very experienced and friendly. We wouldn't go anywhere else!

User

My daughter has been riding at Ryders farm since July 2017 I put her in one to one lessons as she has Irlens Syndrome and struggles with concentration, co ordination and confidence issues. She then gained confidence to go in a group lesson on extra lessons. All the staff at Ryders know my daughter and she absolutely loves being at the farm joining pony club and mucking out at weekends too. It doesn't stop there the staff in the café are great with my daughter as she may be 10 but doesn't understand money and they help her too. Id like to take this opportunity to thank ALL staff for their help. My daughter has the horse bug but she absolutely enjoys her time with you. Best of all she has already gone from beginner to AB2 since beginning of July Well Done staff and Thankyou so much xx Susan

Maddie's passion has been horses since she could talk!

As the only horsey person in the family she has waited (not so patiently) for lessons and just over a year ago she found Ryders Farm. She has loved every moment here.

We have many lovely photos of her at her happiest and look forward to seeing her grow in confidence and ability with the help of the wonderful staff.

User

Love this place, Jodie has been having lesson here for 2 years now,and attends pony club, and grows in confidence with every lesson, with her being on the autistic spectrum and having ADHD, it's very true that being around horses has a very calming effect, all the staff are amazing and professional.#horsetherapy#beautifulponie s

Fantastic place to ride. Lovely staff. A good mixture of horses and ponies all with their own personalities, not your typical school horses. Great facilities, xc field, jumping field, indoor and outdoor arenas and a cafe. I love the fact that clients can take part in competitions there using a school horse. Lots of extra things to do too like pole work clinics etc.

User
