Went to do the big Xmas shop yesterday with my mum and 3 kids. Absolutely dreaded it. We started with some breakfast in the cafe - the ladies gave my daughter a free slushy after her breakfast as a Xmas treat. Whilst we were sat in the cafe a lovely member of staff came over and asked if we had a little girl (she had just gone to the toilet) and could she have a little present. She gave her this really cool animation make your own movie out which she loves and was playing with all yesterday evening and said she will be putting them on YouTube! She also gave my two younger children gingerbread men. We were genuinely touched already by the kindness of the staff. We don't normally shop at Sainsbury's but my husband had received a £100 voucher from work so we had decided to get the Christmas food from there.

We then proceeded with the BIG shop. We had 3 excited children going round and staff were always really lovely to all of them and when my youngest started getting a bit cranky and I had to carry her to keep her calm a member of staff helped us round the rest of the shop pushing the trolley and got us through the till and to our car. I tried to give her a Xmas tip as a thank you and have a drink on us but she said she wasn't allowed to take it - both me and my mum were nearly putting it in her pocket so she said she would put it in the charity tin instead. I hope Sainsbury's have rewarded all their staff in store yesterday because I have never had such an enjoyable experience!

The people who work here are angels. They kept hold of an elephant comforter, the last one I could find anywhere for my son as ours had gone missing. Absolute angels thank you so much to Michelle on clothing and Julie at the checkout for your amazing work of keeping Nellie under lock and key for us. We truly appreciate your kindness

Sunday breakfast has become a regular thing for us at the Oldham store, there's a lady who works in the cafe Named Ruth, this lady needs a medal and recognition, her service is simply wonderful, to the point where the Sundays she is working my food taste even better! And the times when she isn't I do find myself holding other staff members to her standards and they simply do not compare, I just want to make the managers at Oldham aware of the gem they have working there and should she ever leave to go to another store I'm certain me and my partner would toddle along and follow her. If there's an award for employee of the month please consider her for it, she really does go above and beyond.

I love shopping at Sainsbury's never over packed with people and like the quality of the food. Usually have lunch in the restaurant it's very reasonable priced.

Had a wonderful experience this morning. I shop there every week but was dreading a fraught xmas shop. Was not to be, lots of extra staff "runners" to help customers and hand chocolates out. Got complimentary coffee and mince pie at end and all staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. Absolutely 5*. Thank you, it was a pleasure.

We went to Sainsbury's Oldham yesterday and I just wanted to say how lovely the security guard was with my 2 year old! He talked to her and made a right fuss over her when we were leaving! The security guards in other supermarkets are always so miserable but he was happy and helpful and really seemed to like his job, this made a refreshing change! It made a trip to the supermarket just that little bit nicer and easier x

Its great that you stock a good range of gf foods, just wondering if or when you are going to start selling the new range that are made in-store?

I went there for some chicken and a drink, before work, was tasty. Hit the spot. Thanks! Xoxo

Great supermarket, if you can't find what you want...they don't make it.

Only decent ‘up market’ supermarket in Oldham Town Centre. Lovely food, clothes, household goods and staff!👍🏻

I went for breakfast yesterday and it was really nice and so we're the staff, unfortunately the WC were awful, I've seen cleaner toilets at a festival.

This store is really going down hill. Shelves full of dented tins. Plastic tubs of fruit on shelves already out of date. When pointed out to staff they were very rude. Flowers we are buying claim to last 14 days you are lucky if they survive a week. Also last week a packet of cheese that was in date, when opened was all mouldy so that seems that's down to where your stock is being held. You guys need to get your act together.

As I write, I am sat eating in your cafe. It needs a clean. I am not a super clean freak, or overly fussed by abit of mess here or there. But I've struggled to find a clean tray, knives and forks and nearly every table that is vacant has not been cleaned.

Which one if your marketing geniuses decided it would be a good idea to have a "£100 voucher" pyramid scheme to get your users to "share it with 10 people via whatsapp"... its an outrageous scam and you've done irreparable damage to your brand and image by going down this route. I for one, alongside my family weekly spend, will not be using your stores again and I'm sure many will be following...

Love Sainsbury’s but this store in Oldham is unacceptable in the way the car park charges penalise the disabled, I have just been fined for using the shop and restaurant with my wheelchair bound partner, hate stores that use eurocar parks, our local shops cancelled their contract because they put customers off shopping. I certainly will never use Sainsbury’s in Oldham ever again.
