The world’s biggest shout out to Sainsbury’s hazel grove.

Three weeks ago, I was in a coma and a friend had to get the police to kick my door in to rescue me. I was out for six days and came around having lost the ability to walk and covered in random injuries and having had an op. Normally I’m a normally healthy woman

Today I had a web chat with Sainsbury’s. I had card details and wondered if there was any way I could organise a taxi to collect clothes from the store as I was unexpectedly being discharged and literally had nothing as my house is still not accessible.

Not only did Sainsbury’s sort me out, they brought them to the hospital for me and refused to take my money. I am truly overwhelmed and so grateful. Will I ever shop anywhere else? I don’t think so.

My daughter went in this morning with her little girl, who lost her purple taggie comforter, 3 lovely members of staff helped her to look for it, but to no avail, pleae keep your eyes peeled and if found please hand into customer services, thank you

I was in a bad situation today and was on my way to the store to collect my order and my son was sick all himself and the car. This meant I could not get him out of the car and I could not go into store myself. Luckily I managed to get the attention of one of your members of staff in the car park (pushing trolleys at the time) and he was able to help me out. I gave him the order number and he brought the order to me and checked my i.d. I know this was a big ask and not something you would normally arrange for someone but I think he could see how stressed I was. He went above and beyond in his customer service today and I can not thank him and your store enough for helping me out in my time of need! I hope he gets the recognition he deserves! Thanks so much!! xxx

I have always found the staff in Sainsbury’s Hazel Grove exemplary! They are helpful and friendly but then I do like to wander round the store especially when the layout has changed! When I do have to ask someone they are always courteous. Maybe that’s because I always try to be courteous to them! Well done Sainsbury’s Hazel Grove!!

Excellent customer service today. Christmas shopping with two toddlers = hard work. Thank you to Phillip Chui who made things much easier. He made my two year old an origami boat and chatted happily with my 1year old. Much appreciated!

i don't shop at sainsburys but yesterday I was in the area and wanted some minted lamb chops I don't have much luck getting these from other stores well they did not have any so went to the meat counter and told the man serving what I wanted his name was kai I was very surprised at what he did he said would do me some minted lamb chops which he did this man went beyond the call of duty which we NEVER SEE nowadays he was a very nice pleasant man who made me feel like I mattered to him. this has left me thinking that this store is now going to be the only store where I will shop now how nice this is to find this really nice man in this shop is very rare today as I am 70 yrs old this has changed my view on sainsburys so KAI I will be back with all my friends AND AS LONG AS YOU ARE WORKING THERE I WILL BE SHOPPING THERE. thank you sainsburys having a very helpful man and so pleasant as long as you are there I will deffo be back .

Nice staff! Shame they don’t sell black shirts

A bit more expensive than other supermarkets, but quality is top. Can find lots of things you can hardly find anywhere else. My first choice when doing the groceries. :)

User

I don’t have a problem with the store but their car park is appalling. It took me an hour to get off it today. I have lost count of the number of hours I have spent trying to clear their car park over the years. Action needs to be taken to get the 2 sets of lights you have to go through co-ordinated. Maybe at busy periods it could be made into a one way system. I am seriously thinking of shopping elsewhere where the car park is easier to clear. I just don’t have the time to sit there not being able to move while everyone at front leaves.

Had a meal in the cafe I really enjoyed my lasagne and my daughter had cottage pie which she enjoyed but her carrots were raw and no hospitality check and lots of dirty tables we had to ask for ours to be cleaned staff don't look very happy either we went for a wander around after and there is lots of choice you need to check the toilets too the doors and side walls in the cubicles are full of dust which is very noticeable.

User

Could do with more staff in the cafe serving on a Saturday afternoon 10 mins was waiting to be served

The store has taken a nose-dive since the refurb. In order to accommodate Argos they have less stock and range of goods on the shop floor. There is no longer any 'Comfort Parking' for those of us non-Blue Badge holders who struggle to get out of their cars and they've done away with one of the pedestrian crossings.

I come to this cafe 2-3 times a week, always 1st one in and go to the same seat.

Each time the area is not a good standard as the seats always have food on them just like today, but I was shocked to see the table in such a state.

They could not use they are busy as an excuse no one had used the cafe since last night so they need to look at why there is no cleaning being done or maybe if the staff are given the food hygiene course because I counted 22 tables in the same condition

User

To the member of staff muttering under her breath as we rushed in to see what time the pharmacy shut at 10pm in desperate search for the medication my daughter needed to help make her more comfortable for the night... thank you. You topped off my day and Ur comments were seriously NOT necessary and leaves a very bad image for Sainsbury’s.

Staff in cafe don't listen. Went in Thursday ordered sausage on toast with both slices buttered, they only ever butter one slice, what I got was 2 toast buttered on both sides, complaint form filled in. Today had to go there as hungry and couldn't find another cafe open, ordered sausage on toast, got bacon on toast which is awful since they changed to taste the difference. Maybe a notice should be put up to warn people your staff are not trained to listen to the paying customer

Not too pleased with sainsburys this evening, we visited on Thursday evening and did some shopping, today I checked the date on an item and it was actually out of date last Monday 2nd July, I purchased it

On 5th July. When I went into store I was refunded my £1.80 with a disgruntled apology for inconvenience, no acknowledgement of the seriousness of them selling out of date stock, which could if eaten have caused serious sickness.

Coincidentally a few minutes later, my husband witnessed the member of staff along with another member of Staff, clearing the shelf of other Cartons

Of the same product that were

Also out of date. How many people have purchased these!!! Sainsburys is one of the more Expensive stores and I would expect their monitoring of stock to be of

The highest standard

I’m not ordering from Sainsbury’s online anymore (I believe it comes from Hazel Grove). It’s rubbish. I updated my order then checked out again as it told me to but it didn’t save the extra items. That’s the third time this has happened. Now I have to go out to the shops!!! Defeats the whole process!!!

User

I would like Sainsbury’s to explain why their till system refused to let me buy 2 packets of paracetamol today?

I was trying to buy 2 packets of paracetamol caplets and 2 packets of ibruprofen along with a decongestant spray.

The cashier managing the self service till was quite off-hand with me telling me they all contained paracetamol, “it’s the law!” and refusing to entertain that your system could be wrong... I hate to disagree with you Sainsbury’s, but Ibuprofen is a completely different drug to Paracetamol as is Xylometazoline Hydrochloride (the Sudafed blocked nose spray)

Please update your system and educate your staff accordingly!

By the way... ASDA were happy to sell these to me so your loss!
