Went for a birthday meal with the family, excellent food, brilliant service, really helpful staff. Really nice atmosphere. Definitely 5* in every way, will definitely be back.

Took my Nana for lunch on Monday - food was lovely and the staff exceptional. Paul took the time to talk to us and was attentive and helpful! Great to have a local place that serves great food and has great staff.

Just wanted to say thank you to all the staff especially the manager for helping us organise my daughters baby shower, the food was delicious and we were all looked after amazingly. Highly recommend anyone who needs an area to celebrate in, to come here.

Just had our first visit and we cannot fault it.

Service by Anita was fantastic. She was attentive, friendly and very welcoming.

We used to use another pub in Cheadle for our regular nights out but things went downhill.

So we wanted to find another and the Samuel Brooks will be it.

All 3 courses were delicious which we can't remember ever happening. And we have been to alot of places, even spending 3 times as much as tonight.

And it's so nice to look at a menu and be spoilt for choice. My wife wasn't going to have a dessert for the whole year. Oops New Year Resolution broken. The dessert choice was like being back at school. We could of chosen them all.

We will definitely recommend and definitely be back.

It's a great place to be nice friendly people good service at the bar but the drinks are s bit expensive otherwise it's a great pub and entertainment at weekends now and then hopefully they will bring karaoke back

I just want to thank all the team here for your support. I run a Tourettes Support Group and last Saturday we came and had a meal with 4 severe touretters and the as you can imagine the comments that staff received weren't always nice. Their patience and understanding did not go in recognised. Thanks again. And also for your kind donation to our Xmas raffle. We will be back if you can handle it again. I dined with a large group of friends, from the Sale Credit Union, last night. Everyone enjoyed their meals, and said they would definitely come back. Thanks to Steve and all your staff for your patience and good humour. It can't be easy to prepare 27 different meals ,but you were spot on for service!!!!

Have dined here on several occasions as it is our local. Had a lovely meal yet again last night. Always made welcome by the staff who are great, really friendly atmosphere and would recommend to anyone who hasn't been to give it a try you wont regret it.

Had lovely roast beef dinner it was scrumptious thoroughly enjoyed it the service was great one of staff even helped open door for my friend who was in wheel chair friendly and helpful will be back

After working 9 days working on the trot my husband decided to take me out for a meal and a few drinks last night and as usual the food was excellent and the service great too.

We have been many time now since it reopened and the food and service has always been excellent.

Absolutely love the Samuel Brooks, great food and friendly staff. I also attended a work team event whixh was put on and designed for us and it was a great evening and a huge success. The event ran smoothly and eveey detail was taken care off. Would highly recommend �

Great local, good food, good service, great beer, pity about the gents toilets disgusting not down to the hard working staff poor design doesn't work guys, change them you know it makes sense

Terrible service....2 hours to get our food and it wasn’t busy!! Food was good but no other part of the experience was pleasurable!! Would not recommend unless you have an afternoon to waste!!

Had a lovely young man waiting on us. Dont know his name only know he was off to Cyprus to a wedding. He was so chatty and friendly.

Food very good but not enough staff on duty, we visited on a Saturday around 5pm. Same 2 staff covering bar and food area , finished our meal and 20 mins later plates not cleared. Wanted to order desserts but was put off by queue at bar to order and time to wait. Not floor staffs fault , management need to think these things through

The food was good , but it is a pub , to take over 2/3 of the building to a restaurant is ridiculous , the bar area is tiny and after the restaurant closes everyone is cramped into a small area of the building & 2/3rd of it are empty so couldn't hear the singer because of background noise and was very cramped in a small area

When first opened, food was consistently good, staff were all very attentive, welcoming and atmosphere was buzzing. I am a regular diner, a couple of times at least each month. Found it hit and miss over past few months. As a regular, my last experience was really poor. A busy night, but had to wait 15 minutes for drink order to be taken, and eventually went to the bar to order our meal as no staff had asked for our order. Food was terrible - medium rare steak was like cardboard. Gave that feedback as I paid the bill and staff seemed disinterested. This is such a shame, a local place bringing something different has been lost. Please bring back your passion to be great!

Staff young and inattentive to start with and gave no real communication about having a table of 25 to serve before us even though we had rung and booked before going! Staff did improve with older more responsive results after but sadly it marred how we were initially meant to feel. Won't be going back!! We were a table of 5 and doesn't s substantial amount not good!
