When my friend Matt Ward recommended Seen Opticians he did me a very good turn. After years of adequate but impersonal service by the likes of Vision Express, Specsavers etc it's been an eye-opener-pun intended-to see how different the experience of buying glasses from an independent can be. Let's start with the fact that Seen, although not a large shop, has a most attractive range of frames and a clear commitment to using high quality lenses. But those attributes would mean little without the right approach to customer care, which is where Seen's performance is at its absolute best. I'm not the easiest person to make up glasses for-do I need varifocals?; are these the right ones for me?; what about my reading glasses? etc-but in the five months I've been with Seen I've never once had the feeling that my demands were considered to be fussy or unreasonable. Tweaks have been done and lenses replaced with only one thing in mind: my satisfaction with the glasses I've been sold. Hats off to Tareq, Colette, Neil and Erika!

What wonderful folks. Always a smile, always working hard to provide the best service, making sure things are just right. Tareq makes a decent cup of coffee too!.......Oh, great specs too!

What do I want in an Optician?



The number one priority is vision and the health of my eyes. I really do feel the difference having Tareq as opposed to the usual suspects.



Then comes the good part. Choosing a great pair of frames that are really quality and suit you. Colette and the team make this easy and, I never thought I'd say this about buying glasses, but an enjoyable experience.



As for the specs themselves well they can be a little more than some available on the high street. For me though they are more than worth it for many reasons. I try and make an effort with my appearance; my glasses are worn nearly all the time and as people look at your face most frequently then in my opinion they are the most important item you 'wear'. It's pointless having a great outfit and 'two bob bins' ;-)



If you value your eyesight, appearance and want a bit of fun then I thoroughly recommend Seen.

Seen is definitely the best opticians I have ever been too. The eye test puts you at ease, the choice and style of frames is amazing, all the team will do everything they can to help and the after care is above and beyond. All-in-all, second to none. They could not do more.

Seen are without a doubt the best opticians I've ever visited. They are everything you expect from a small independent and more. An incredibly personal and friendly service from everyone, an incredible choice of frames. Starting with a very thorough eye exam from Tareq, including finally helping me make the jump too contacts for occasional use. When I was picking out frames for my upcoming wedding, Erika and Colette were happy to spend as long as I needed helping pick out my frames and making sure I was 100% happy with my choice. Even I left Manchester I'd still return here for my next pair of glasses. :)

9 Years later, I’m pleased to say the initial impression holds true except it’s backed by exemplary service in the form of up by regular check ups, occasional eye-health check ups, and glasses MOTs. They offer top quality products and I’ve had numerous pairs of contact lenses, and a few pairs of gorgeous frames from them. These guys really know their stuff, they’re patient (and I’m known for my indecisiveness), and they always go the extra mile to help you. They also make sure you leave with a smile ready to face the world out there!



I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them and have done so to several friends!
