Seven Stars Martial Arts Academy adheres to the COHW Seven Point Code of Conduct and therefore has satisfied the criteria of and is endorsed by The Chivalric Order of the Honourable Warrior thus enabling an honourable and safe environment for students, participants and spectators.

Seven Stars Martial Arts Academy
We were established in 1978 by Master Brian J McKinney. We have been in our current premises in Eastham since 1994. We are the longest established multi-disciplined martial arts club in Merseyside. We have an international reputation and are highly regarded by the official martial arts associations in the Peoples Republic of China. We have satellite branches established by our graduates, Seven Stars (Australia), Seven Stars (Arabia), Seven Stars (Scotland), Seven Stars (South England). We have a sister premises in Mersey Park in Birkenhead "Seven Stars Combat Academy (The Iron Box) which incorporates Mersey Amateur Boxing Club. We have students from all around the world who travel to study with us. We have coached students to National, European and World Titles in Karate, Wushu and Kickboxing. We cater for Juniors 6-10 yrs, Juniors 11-15 yrs, Seniors (over 18 yrs) and Golden Agers (over 60 yrs old). Our youngest student is six years and our oldest is 93 years old.

Our syllabus has a dual aspect. . . Combat & Well Being

Regarding the Combat aspect we teach three groups of systems. .
Chinese, Japanese & Anglo Celtic Systems

Our Chinese System consists of Shaolin Wushu (Kung Fu)

Our Japanese System consists of Karate and Weapons

Our Anglo Celtic System consists of Kickboxing, Wrestling, MMA, Anglo Celtic Martial Arts, Anglo Celtic Stick Fighting, Fitness and Strength Training, Self Defence

Regarding the Well Being aspect we teach. . .
Tai Chi, Qigong, Relaxation and Meditation

We have male and female Instructors who are all CRB checked.
There are both daytime and evening classes seven days a week. Private tuition is also available daytime and weekends.

Our Master Instructor is Master Brian McKinney who is highly graded and has a long and well documented career in martial arts. Master McKinney is highly regarded locally, nationally and internationally. He is the founder of several national martial arts associations and was awarded the title “Legend” when he was inducted into the Martial Arts Hall of Fame.
