As many of you will know milkshakes are made with ice cream made from a soft serve ice cream machine. These machines have barrels where they freeze ice cream mix which then creates delicious ice cream.
HOWEVER, it’s very important these machines are maintained properly to keep your ice cream fresh. At Smoooch we empty, open up, deep clean and sterilise our machine (1 - 2 hour job) EVERY DAY to make sure our product is as fantastic as we are. Went first time, it was shut due to maintenance issue but my fault as I didn’t check their Facebook page but should of put a notice on the door. Over reacted a little by putting a bad review but I’ve changed it, finally went had complementary milkshakes from Matthew (from the issue) they were absolutely yummy, also had toasties which were also yummy! Recommend for yummy desserts! I will be back � Thanks again!

Tonight we got cookie dough,

Freaky kinder delight milkshake and American pancakes !! Omg they where all amazing !!! Nice friendly delivery service too can highly recommend this place food was just delicious ��

The desserts from Smoooch are to die for. We have had orders delivered to Birkdale 5 times now and every time they have been superb. Delivery driver is always polite and friendly. Food is excellent, we love the sundaes and the Tango Blasts (wonder if they are now sugar free, if so you can’t tell �) Apart from the first order which was a little late and I put that down to just opening and teething problems with deliveries, every order since has been on time and perfect. Nothing melted or messy it looks as good as it tastes. It is now firmly a family weekly treat (sometimes twice a week if it’s a hot one) I could not recommend this enough - a first class welcome addition to Southport �

Ordered tonight � Biscoff milkshake which was the nicest milkshake I’ve ever had!! Caramac waffles were perfect and a stack of pancakes with kinder bueno which was also nice but needed a lot more chocolate sauce or cream with it. Definitely will order again �����

Ordered arrived 20 minutes early, Food was very nice, ordered the breakfast waffles and pancakes along with milkshakes part of the order was unavailable so the store rang me when the order went through to find an alternative option, very pleased with the service and quality of food and milkshakes would highly recommend

My first milkshake I have had from here is a strawberry shortcake one digestives, strawberries, white chocolate and strawberry sauce, whipped cream and crushed meringue pieces it was so tasty, will be going in with my girls soon to treat them to a chocolate one of there choice, and me of course. The decor in the place is amazing so lovely colours pink and white nice and clean and fresh looking always, and lots of seating area inside and out, I will definitely be coming back or ordering delivery, and yet to try a waffle too lol �

Lovely fluffy pancakes with candied bacon and syrup, and tasty shakes. They even replaced my daughters shake for free when she spilt it all over the table.

I visited Smoooch last weekend for the first time and my children loved it! The shakes were delicious and huuuuuge and while most people probably wouldn’t go for a latte, that was lovely too!

The staff were really welcoming and friendly and went out of their way to please my children.

The decor is really nice, to the point my children have plans for a pink and white diner style kitchen at home.

My one tiny point would be that the music was quite loud dance music. With the noise of the blenders, the music and my children, it was all quite loud. But that probably says more about my age than the music and the atmosphere they’re going for.

Well done guys! I could see how busy you were with deliveries. Keep it up. We’ll see you again soon!

Finally got to visit yesterday after meaning to for a while, great decor, friendly staff, great atmosphere, even my 1 year old was dancing to the music� Ordered 2 lots of cookie dough and 1 pancakes, after paying was asked if it was okay that it would be 25 minutes, which I thought should’ve been asked before hand, but we didn’t mind. They even gave the toddler a free lollipop (shes now smoooches biggest fan�) The food was unreal, better than any cookie dough I’ve had and the other half loved his pancakes, however the hot cookie dough was put on the branded paper of which some got stuck to the food which was a bit disappointing as I didn’t want to spare any� Thanks for an overall great time, we’ll be back very soon�

Really fast delivery with no extra charges. Kids loved the smooch shakes and the pick and mix was huge ! Great treat for end of Sats week. Hoping that you might be able to do half sized shakes at some stage for younger kids but looking forward to ordering from you again �

Been to smooch the last couple of days for a midday snack of pancakes - I expected just a few plain pancakes but what I was given was unbelievable, so much effort put into the food and the presentation fantastic along with the quality. The staff in there are friendly and very welcoming. Will 100% be returning

Just had our first Smooch experience today and didn’t love it as much as I had hoped. I was expecting a fair wait but it was actually quieter than I had expected. We ordered a shake, an ice blast a puffle waffle and a bottle of water and were told to take a seat. About 20 mins later the shake arrived and we had to ask for the bottle of water. Then we chased the ice blast and the waffle to which we were told ‘there’s a waffle on’ which was a total lie as I watched them place it to cook a few mins later. The ice cream machine broke so that was missing from our waffle - totally understand that things like that happen. Overall just a lot of waiting for nothing overly special unfortunately �

ordered for delivery. delivery arrived at the time it stated one hour and 10 mins from ordering. ordered 2 puffle waffles and a shake. Shop phoned to say one ingredient not available so we changed, good service! Sadly waffles arrived with everything melted on it, cream and sauce just a soppy mess, the smarties also all melted and no colour on them. They should be delivered with sauce in separate container and cream too, says whipped cream on menu but suspect tinned spray cream for it to have melted so much i couldnt see it. 30 mins after eating some of it the shop left a message to say they couldnt do our order as they had closed. total mix up. not sure i would have delivery again.

The shop it’s self is absolutely beautiful, the decor is amazing as are the milkshakes and the friendliness of staff.

However hygiene of the staff was appalling! we went on a very busy sunny Sunday. We were told 10 mins for milkshakes which took over half an hour but this was understandable due to how busy they were. What was concerning was the hygiene, not one member of staff (around 5 members?) washed their hands whilst I was sat there. Chocolate bars were all cut on the same chopping board with the same knife. There were members off staff touching their hair and runny noses which was quiet worrying as they didn’t wash their hands or wear gloves.

I went yesterday to order something... the place is a mess I cannot describe the filthness ...then I went to the till and notice the person on the sandwiches was cutting it without gloves and his nails were so dirty I wanted to puke ... anyway behind the counter was so dirty and the tables I just wanted to leave... I don't know how a shop can be open and working and how can people buy from here... the hygiene agency must pay a visit... never again
