Stores nice and tidy and you can find most thing easy ... sometimes when you check online it says unstick but they can find it in store but they do their best to try help

When someone with reduced mobility requests assistance with their heavy and bulky purchases, an acceptable answer is not “there’s no one available, they’re on break”. Terrible customer service.

Went in the middlebrook store today to purchase a child's car seat the staff on the till and customer services were great explained all the legalities and made sure the seat was perfect for the child and and car it was going in couldnt fault them so made the purchuse.



On the way out off the store we was greated by a rude non speakeing human who was the store sacurity who put its had straight out in front of me and grabbed the car seat out my hands ( technical theft as I'd allready paid for the itam)

He then demanded to see the recipet which we shown him he then handed the itam back with no apologhy or nothing.



I explained to the so called securitygurd/thief that the staff in side only get the car seats out of the back once payment has been made so there was no way it could be stolen therefore no need to stop me. His replay was a shrug of the shoulders.



My Miss is a manager at a rather big nursary who buy lots of products from this store so congratulations on loseing that bussiness and mine we will never step foot inside this store again and will do my up most to make sure non off my friends or family do.



I also understand hes there to do a job but a bit of training from mangement and customer skills could have avoided this.

Well what a total propaganda stunt!! The "Easter party " today. Came down at 1pm, store advertises 10am till 4 pm, "face painting, free gifts, play dough, match attacks, Easter egg hunt", to name but a few. The only thing there on was one person doing face painting. "Everything gone" was what the staff said when asked. What a waste of £35, having to buy stuff in store for very disappointed children. What a cruel way to make your money smyths !! You should be ashamed of yourselves!!

Well this was my first visit to smyths, got there at 4.26pm on a Sunday, 4mins before closing time, got refused entry being told it was closed by member of staff, I told him its still not 4.30pm and I know what I am getting and it will only take me a couple of mins to which staff at this point decides to let me in and I'm happy! But It's the comment made at this point which really upset me:

Staff - if you have not left by 4.30pm I will THROW you out!

Me - no you will not THROW me out, you will ASK me to leave!

I then went the normal way about it and made a complain to the manager, I don't know what action the manager has taken???

Please note I would think twice about going to Smyths again and I am very very upset, I hope not everyone gets treated the way I got treated that day and the comments made to me upset both me and my children who were present at the time.

Staff are taking all the rare pop vinyl figures for themselves before being on the shelf and is against the law and will be reported to trading standards

Over the Christmas period my parents have spent over £1000 in this store.

Everyone knows what it is like when it comes to receipts you ended up with a purse full and things get misplaced we are simply just human and it’s an accident.

My mum came into store and bought a guitar for my youngest sister costing over £70 or so, when she got home she realised that she had bought the wrong one and went back to the Middlebrook store to return it. By complete accident my mum had misplaced the receipt, she brought back all of the others and asked what she could do?



She was faced by possibly the rudest/nastiest and arrogant “managers” in the whole of retail! She was quiet upset because he simply couldn’t help with the situation and could only give a credit note? A credit note for what?? She had finished her Christmas shopping and no longer needed to shop at Smyths?



She asked if she could get cash instead of a credit note... he was extremely rude and horrible to my mum and refused and said it was tough “you shouldn’t have lost your receipt”! - absolutely disgusting customer service.



I have worked in a toy retail store for the past 4 years and I know what you can do to meet a customers needs if they have misplaced their receipt...

espaiclly if they paid by cash! It might take a couple more minutes of their time to check the system from when the item was bought and how it was paid for! It’s simple!!



But no, she was faced by a disgusting 0 customer service employee who called himself a “Manager” that should not have spoken to my mum the way he did!



On behalf of my mum I can not assure you, not one more £0.01 will be spent at any Smyths toy store!



I will be reporting this horrendous customer service to head office and I will find out the name of the Manager!!!

My mum bought 2 bikes paid for next day delivery I waited in all day yesterday to be told by dpd they haven't been given my mums bike try ringing the store and all it did was ring out then to get the bikes delivered this morning can someone explain why she paid for next day delivery when she didn't get them next day and for staff to actually answer the phone on customer service
