Southport Pleasureland Description
FREE ENTRY TO THE PARK!
Southport Pleasureland is a family orientated theme park located next to the golden beaches of this wonderful seaside town providing days out in the North West. Since 2007 the theme park has been in the hands of Norman Wallis who has invested heavily to take it from a virtually derelict site to an extremely popular family fun day out.
The park has a wide variety of rides for all ages, a family arcade, indoor and outdoor performance areas, stalls plus many food and drink outlets.
One of the best traditional UK theme parks, Pleasureland also benefits from parking for caravans and RVs, many of whom come to the park for rallys.
More recently Southport Pleasureland has added the Lakeside Miniature Railway to its list of attractions and work is currently being undertaken to improve the track and surrounding areas of the railway and to bring it back to its former glory and to provide even more fun on your family fun days out.
The park is free to enter. There is an electronic Fun Card system in operation so you only pay to ride. Which makes it a great, affordable day out for whole families.

Hi can anyone helps us return these lost keys to their owner?
They where handed in on Tuesday but nobody has rang about them.
Would love to get them back to the person who lost them. If you can message us and let us know what other keyrings are on the keys we can get them back to you 👍😀

Weathers great ☀️& we are open from 11am to 6pm! Great day out for the kids!
Went yesterday and being a bank holiday weekend thought my 9 year old would have to queue for a while. Longest time he queued was approx 5 mins. He was able to go on the majority of the rides too. Yes the old Southport Pleasure Land had more rides especially for grown ups but how they have revamped is great. From 2.5 to 4 tokens a ride was reasonable. My son loves Southport and would definitely go again
We went to see the fireworks on Saturday and just want to say they were the best ever fire works I have ever seen defo be back next year.
This is a really great place with plenty of decent rides for all ages. Best to buy tickets at least a day in advance as you get more tokens for your money. We got the platinum between 4 kids and had a good 4hr there.
Thanks Thanks for my free ride on the Walser Southport pleasure land it’s a brilliant place and I’m deafly coming back next year to see my favourite Walser have a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year from Carla Morrison thank you for everything
Me and my whole family including my baby niece went here on Thursday 26th July, the sun was beaming and we all had an amazing day. There was no ques and got on every ride we wanted. Even my children's nanna and auntie went on the fun house which was fun to watch.
We got there just after 11am and left about 4.30pm and from start to finish we have the best day ever. We purchased the £100 offer and got £160 worth of tokens which did 6 of us all day.
Great day on Sunday all the dads ride free my 3 girls had turns a piece 1 ride with daddy each time. Was a great day The older girls love the bigger rides at the back been about 5 times since Season started an be back again soon. Just 1 Thing Why no1 spin on the walsers its much better an no lights liked the old way much better kids think it's very boring now. Everythink else great. even staff at the entrance even Phillis At the front when you walk is was so helpfull an lovely even threw us a few free tokens cos my little girl hurt her fingers on the way out. Thanks For a good day
Always loved Southport since I was little and used to take my daughter's and now I take my grandchildren xx Old and New I love it xxx
Went yesterday with our 6 year old grandaughter. All rides were open, stafffriendly and helpful. Most of the rides were only suitable for up to my gransaughter’s age; there are a few for older children to ride on their own, but younger children could go on most of them with an adult. No entrance fee, buy a pass for £1 and then put tokens on it, rides don’t accept cash. Don’t park in the car parks at the fair, cheaper at the pay and display opposite, or there is a £2 all day car park a bit further down. It’s worth having a walk around the fair to check if you think your it’s worth taking your children because of age etc. Our grandaughter certainly enjoyed it.
Recently visited Southport Pleasureland and was amazed at the transformation!
Firstly, it was absolutely spotless. Secondly, years ago every scally in the town worked at the pleasureland, not anymore. The staff were eager to assist and a pleasure to deal with.
Don’t get me wrong, it isn’t Alton towers however it is a very good town funfair.
Having spoken with the owner, he is extremely passionate about what he is achieving and this place will surely go from strength to strength
It is a very nice place with lots of different rides and it had a swan lake that we did boating 🛶 and a mini railway 🚃. Need to cut the bushes to see the views from the train.
Good park but don't go in the arcade machine going worng and rude staff said " I can't give your money back!" Thankfully all the other staff where polite.
Later we found the sweeter where 3 months out date same rude man refused to swap them.
Apart from him and faulty machine was good
Expensive rides (most are £3 each) which are over before you blink and some E- token machines were not working so lengthy waits for cards to access the rides. Some rides were quick to get started... and there wasn't any ques to get on any of them (which was good), but some rides had the kids waiting an age in their seats, until most of the other seats were filled up too. Bit of a dry baron, souless place which lacked atmoshere. Thankfully the weather was good, because if it wasn't that would have been the icing on the cake. NOT an inexpensive day out!
The place is far too expensive! £9 to get an adult and 2 kids on log flume rip off. Need to go to an entrance fee instead. Spent 50 quid in just under 2 hours! Had to say no to some of rides so kids were less than impressed!
Overpriced completely and £2.00 for a one scoop ice cream....... no it’s not because it’s £1 for the cone to put it in!!!! Really! Sort it out someone please! What happened to honest traders? I’ll stick to Blackpool thanks, at least they rip you off up front!!!
Cost £12 to go on the caterpillar as my two little boys needed an adult to sit with both of them. We spent a lot of money going on rides yet they hardly went on any. On a good note, my sons enjoyed seeing some of the superheroes.
bounght a £21 card for rides 2 adults two teens on log flume £12 teens went on bumper cars very short ride!!! Then £2 left on card with nothing to use £2 on expensive defo not good value !!! Candy floss £2.50 yet you can buy massive bags in town 50p
Very disappointed, have waited over an hour now for the park to open and still no joy. We even pre booked out tokens knowing how much the kids want d to go. Trying the explain to an excited 4 year old why the fair isn’t open when they have had all winter to organise themselves
Very disappointed with pleasureland today. Half of the rides were closed and to be honest there are not many decent rides left here.
Its not good value for money and the food kiosks only take cash. Not great when the cash machine isn't working either!
We struggled in the end to use our tokens as the rides that were open are not great.
Would not recommend at all.
Took my 3 and 1 year old yesterday value for money was shocking. My little girl went on a small car ride which was £2.50 it went around the track twice. Everyone waiting for their children to come off the ride were just as shocked. There wasn’t many people at the fair and I can understand why. If these rides were £1 a go we would have spent a lot more time here and probably would have spent a lot more money. We would also probably return a few times throughout the year. I can honestly say we won’t be rushing back and god help anyone who has 2, 3 or more children. Absolute rubbish!!!
