Conducting #BuildingSurveys often involves inspecting leaking tall buildings, to establish where water is entering the structure. SAS Ltd bring experience and technology to help resolve these issues safely, and quickly. This picture shows an endoscopic inspection to establish the design of the cavity tray and other features hidden from sight within the building’s structure.

Like any major city, the centre of Liverpool contains many narrow streets with relatively high sided buildings. Delivering maintenance at height in these areas can give facilities managers a real headache because using a MEWP means getting a temporary road closure and in Liverpool road closures take at least six months to arrange. SAS Ltd delivers a full range of rope access building maintenance services which allows facilities managers to avoid road closures in city centres, like Liverpool.

Through the summer Seaforth Docks in Liverpool needed to carry out maintenance on the grain conveyor systems, and part of this was to replace conveyor rollers that had become worn or even broken. The rollers are difficult to access because they sit underneath a heavy rubber conveyor belt high up on a steel gantry.
A team of three SAS Ltd rope access technicians where able to swap rollers out with great efficiency. This was an excellent example of how a competent team of rope access technicians can solve industrial access problems that have had site managers scratching their heads for years.

Its not all heavy-duty industrial rope access work at SAS Ltd. Sometimes we are called upon for high access work that requires a finer touch, like Rope Access Sign Writing. Using stencils, our team outlined the logo in white chalk and then carefully painted it in bright white. It looks excellent and everyone at Urban Splash and SAS Ltd were delighted.

Working with construction companies in Liverpool and Manchester, SAS Ltd is supplying emergency rescue cover for crane operators with a guaranteed response time of 30 minutes or less. SAS Ltd safely rescue the casualty to ground level so that Paramedics can intervene in complete safety.

SAS Ltd is working with local authorities and housing associations in response to the DCLG cladding inspection directive. Our teams are taking cladding core samples at height for subsequent analysis and combustion tests.

Sometimes the large steel girders installed for the #BMU’s to glide on make perfect anchor points for SAS Ltd rope access #windowcleaning teams. A LOLER inspection confirms that they are of “unquestionable integrity” for the purpose of using as abseil anchors.
Alternatively #LOLER rated mobile ballast systems are another frequently used solution. Whatever the choice of safe anchor points the results are always the same - clean windows and happy clients.
