Went to the Springbrook last week with my family! Amazing service and great value! I have a 5 month old baby and all the staff were amazing with him!! Lovely food and reasonable! I would recommend the pretzel starter !
This was my first visit. Signposted very well by the board at the entrance doors.
A reasonable choice of real ales, but the clincher was having a choice of a gammon steak with BOTH egg and pineapple. Plus, when it came it was so tender and juicy, I had to rate it the best gammon steak I have ever had.
Lovely food, friendly staff, decent sized outdoor area & kid friendly with a small play frame. Would definitely recommend this place
Enjoyed the food and trying Jerk chicken. Also the experience of being given a drink in a large glass
Food 5*
Very very nice
Servers 5*
Very attentive, polite and professional
Speed of food to table on a quiet night 3*
Ok I added two soups after the main meal order, but to wait over an hour for two burgers, come on chef speed it up a little.
I would definitely dine here again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to family and friends.
Went today for dinner. Took a while for us to be seated as waitress seemed very unsure about what she was doing even though plenty of tables where available. Food took ages to come and when it did arrived only one meal came to our table..........which was cold and had to be sent back. Eventually the meals arrived but to be honest the food wasn’t very good. Overall we were disappointed.
Visited yesterday - nothing amazing. Found our own table as staff not available. 2 tables close to us had been pushed together, which left us, on our table, very cramped with no room. Ordered drinks and after 20 minutes had to find staff to ask where they were. Waited around 45 minutes for food which was ok, nothing great. I had the steak and chicken. Steak was very small in comparison to chicken and the Diane sauce was dreadful. No staff to ask fro the bill so had to pay at the bar, where our original waitress was stood chatting anyway. Lots of children crawling around the floor and running around. Preferred the service, menu and food prior to the refurb.
This was our first visit since the refurbishment! My husband ordered the 20oz steak grill with sides i ordered the chicken salad with sides!
My husbands food arrived and we sat for a good 10 minutes and no sign of my food i had to ask where it was for it to arrive and told im sorry but didn't see it on the top self!!!!
I went to start eating but found the chicken extremely dry and also chicken bones! My kale slaw was also missing, i told the server i wasnt happy she took it away returned with a replacement but by this time i had lost my appetite and found it very bland so didn't eat much!! My husband found his pork tough and gammon very salty! We wont be returning a waste of £32
Food was really nice, service could of been better. The staff seemed to focus their attention on a large group who were eating there and did not pay attention to detail to other dinners. We had our main meal brought out to us when we were still eating our starter, we had to go and ask for cutlery to eat with and the wrong desserts were served, changed and still incorrect. As I said though the food was nice and shall give it another visit.
Food was ok took ages to come wasn’t even that busy waited over half an hour and no one came to clear the table the kids wanted desert but got to late got up and left.
Came mid week, quiet so would have expected top service , waited 30 mins to receive our drinks and over an hour for our food , my food arrived out cold and had a suspicious hair on my veg absolutely no excuse for this. Won’t be returning
Awful service this evening, genuinely shocked at the lack of effort from front of house. Food was good, waiting over an hour for it wasn't!
4 of us went there the waitress was very efficient but had to wait over1 hour for the food to come 1- gammon was perfect and the other 1 was over cooked and the pie had far to much pastry on it I had the curry which was good but by the time it came I had lost all interest in food, the pub was not over busy. Will think twice about coming down from Preston for that type of meal..
Walked in to find there was no one at the entrance to the restaurant upstairs after 5 minutes of waiting a staff member finally came to us and took us to our table were the table was sticky and wet and still has food on it, it took the member of staff 10 minutes to come wipe the table clean leaving it soaking wet, took a further 10 minutes for the member of staff to come back over an asked us our drink order, it then took 20 minutes for the member of staff to bring the drinks over, after tasting them they were flat as, left us for a further 20 to 25 minutes to come take our food order, the restaurant was busy with people there was only at least 6 members of staff, finally taking our order it turned up 30 minutes later, the guy walked up and down round and round and outside with our order, by the time it got to our table the food was cold, the guy was struggling to get bk in to the restaurant after being outside with our food, the burger looked like it was gonna fall off the plate,he tryed opening the door with plate in his hand and the food touched the handle of the door causing it to fall an he used his hand to put the burger back on the plate, after witnessing this he brought the food over to were we were sitting, my boyfriend told him to take the food back after 5 minutes of arguing with him, he put my plate down, as it tryed the chips they were stone cold and so was the chicken burger I ordered, staff were unhelpful the manager was as thick as pig shit saying they would warm it up (NO THANK YOU) this was our first time here and we are not happy with the service at all and we won't be returning if there was a 0 star rating we would
Visited with family tonight shocking service 20 mins before anyone asked us for drinks or food about 6 waitresses on all doing there own thing food was disgusting wife ordered medium steak she cut into it to be covered in blood will never visit again waited 20 mins for Bill then had to go and find someone so I could pay should of just walked out disgusting
Really disappointing meal.. long wait.. terrible customer service.. wouldn’t bring my dog to eat here. What a joke!
Queued for 10 minutes for a drink, one barmaid in who was hopeless
3 attempts at pulling a pint
Poured gin n tonic to be told no ice
Customers sat round us had wrong or delayed food
We left,I recommend the Choi hing up the road
Only gave a 1 star due to the fact its the least i can give.
Went with my mum and my 8year old daughter.
I ordered the rottiserie chicken with garlic mushroom sauce, mash & their coleslaw, looked good and took a mouthful and the sauce over the chicken was freezing cold, they took it away and brought another.
My mums bbq ribs, chips, corn on the cob and coleslaw well the ribs wasnt great, the chips and corn on the cob was cold and the coleslaw was missing, they replaced this and still missed the coleslaw.
My daughter had burger, mash and sweetcorn, the burger was fine the rest was cold, they took it away and i let my daughter eat her burger while waiting for the rest of her food to come back, after a massive wait it come back, mash was very hard on the top obviously from a quick ping in microwave, but by this time my daughter said she did not want a second tea (she has her issues with eating).
She then refused to eat it. We then ordered her pudding (brownie and ice cream) 15mins later hadnt arrived so i asked where it was, to be told it wasnt ordered so we said forget it we want to pay and leave.
They suddenly brought it out 2mins later so guess a quick ping in microwave.
Overall i will never go here again, as the service was slow and the food not hot.
Only 1 main salad meal on the menu, came out and looked like a bag of cheap lettuce and some cheap looking chicken strips had been thrown on my plate, chicken was cold also, sent it back! Got Tacos, more like fajitas. Gave me my money back thankfully. Won't be coming back, EVER!
