St James is a welcoming and charmingly designed venue to host any occasion you may have. From wedding receptions to christening and birthday celebrations, or simply just looking for a new getaway for the evening. We have the perfect venue and staff to help you relax with a high quality beverage and entertainment for you and your friends and family.

We are located in Orrell, near wigan; just a 5-10 minute drive away from the Orrell junction onto the M6 motorway. We offer a diverse range of beers, bottles and spirits to suit any age group of any occasion at reasonable prices so that you can have a good time with us. Including cask ales, popular larger, wines by the glass or the bottle, also ciders and bottle beers. All kept at the right temperature with a professionally maintained cellar and fridges. Its the little things that make a big difference!

Rooms & Facilities

A spacious lounge room with, plenty comfortable seating all arranged perfectly for viewing of our large projected TV. Perfect for all “live ford super Sunday games”

We also have a flat-screen TV in our games room too, so you don't miss a goal or a try; a home run or a hole in one for that matter whilst your throwing darts, potting balls on our full sized snooker or pool table or playing domino’s, or just simply playing snap.


Large dance floor. Infact we actually think we have the largest dancefloor in the northwest that's available for hire. Our function room is Buffet and DJ friendly too. With a stage for your own “spin master” and a separate room for the food it will keep your food nice and cool. Our function room at St James holds 200 people comfortably so its perfect for any large events, such as charity events that we accommodate for every year.


A large car park, the car park isn’t locked when we are closed. So your guests can drive to us and get a taxi home safely. Then pick the car up in the morning.
