Wonderful! Today was our first visit to the farm and we absolutely loved it. There's lots to do with toddlers, my son particularly enjoyed the huge hook a duck and sand play area there are sessions throughout the day where you can feed the animals and staff there are so friendly and helpful, really pleased to discover this little gem.

User

What a lovely little site. The kids were safe, they loved the freedom and the play area. It had all amenities needed and was so clean. We will definitely be back to stay again.

User

We stayed over Saturday night and paid a little extra to stay on til later on the Sunday. This gave us more time to explore and was then stress free packing up because we could take our time. Obviously this probably isn't possible at busier times. Lovely little campsite, perfect for kids to be kids. Friendly helpful owner of the site and clean shower/toilet block. Only possible slight problem was the shower wasn't too good. Overall though fantastic and would definitely camp here again. Thank you!

User

We stayed at Staden Grange whilst on a work trip and it was brilliant. We received a very warm welcome and the rooms was lovely. It snowed whilst we were there and it was so lovely watching the snow flakes falling through the large windows when we were eating our breakfast. The breakfast was very yummy ... Thanks for a great stay. The views are stunning too. Such a lovely place and location.

We spent a lovely evening at Staden Grange over the Easter weekend. From the moment we arrived we felt welcome and at ease, which is sometimes difficult with 3 children. The breakfast options were vast and all wonderfully cooked. The lovely quaint rooms were extremely clean and comfortable. Our children really enjoyed the trip which made it for us. This is such a family friendly venue it's just perfect for a mini break with children. We dined at the Church Inn which is a short drive and also made us feel extremely welcome. The food was lovely and we would definitely visit again. We walked the wonderful Monsal Trail and will be revisiting in the summer months to enjoy Staden with the children again. I'm genuinely excited about visiting again and have recommended to friends huge thumbs up from us. Thank you for your hospitality and we will see you again soon

User

We arrived and enjoyed lunch in the little cafe (the people running it are absolute gems). Food was fresh and portion sizes generous.

Then we headed in to the farm. It was a cold rainy day so we were the only ones (we're hardcore). The farm is brilliant! Our son held a guinea pig, loved (!!) 'The Beach' and made many ansand castle. The animals are

Very friendly and ran over to us as we approached (apart from the donkeys). As the only ones there we fed the pigs left over toast - again our son loved it. Squealing with delight as he threw he toast.

A lovely little farm with great facilities and lovely owners. Well worth a visit.

Thank you Staden Grange & Archie's Farm!!!! X

Stayed here last weekend with my boyfriend and our daughter and we absolutely loved it! So much we’ve booked to come again in a couple of weeks

User

Stayed from Thursday to Saturday, mixed bag of weather but still entertained ourselves for the duration..

Was a little hacked off as we chose Staden grange as it has the petting farm for my 4 year old daughter and it was shut (this wasn't advertised on pitch up),friendly owner/manager..

Fantastic views,great size pitch,electric hook up,clean facilities.

Only let down was the group that decided to get a taxi to drop them off outside our tent because they couldn't be bothered to walk the 100m from the road into the wooded area at 1.30am,fair enough they were having fun but waking all my family and others around the site carrying on until 5am listening to there drunken antics wasn't what we wanted..

Maybe abit more security

We packed up at 6.30am and came home..

Maybe better in high season..

User

Stayed 2 nights over bank holiday. Lovely place with amazing views. Everything you need from a b & b. The room is cosy and homely with fairtrade tea and coffee, spare sheet and pillows and even slippers. Breakfast is great and the toast is amazing. Most importantly the staff are lovely, welcoming and happy to help in any way they can. We will definitely be back.

Lovely hotel and surrounding, room was lovely and comfortable

User

Last weekend my family camped here 4 adults and three children. We picked this site for the farm and the play area for my 1 year old . Camp site is lovely well maintained . Surroundings are lovely and space for the children to play . The farm is great ! even tho my son was more interested in the play house then the animals . Great time had by all . My only suggestion would be for a recycling options. Will be visiting again .

User

Just got back from 4 nights at Staden Grange - We had such a brilliant time! The whole place was lovely!

Toilet and shower facilities were brilliant, scenery lovely. Such a friendly place!

Hats off to the 'hands on' owners for a welcoming camp site where nothing was too much trouble!

Archie's farm on site was a huge hit with our children - a few favourites that the kids spent a lot of time with daily - Lenny the lovely little black sheep and Dusty the donkey - and the brown little goat with long hair :)

Could not fault the whole place at all! We had a ball!

Thank you very much for making our holiday lovely! <3

User

Just back from a week at Staden Grange in Buxton. Lovely little site, a real "out in the sticks" feel to it despite being behind an industrial estate. Friendly staff who checked on us a couple of times to ensure we were happy, allowed us to choose our pitch if we were unhappy with our allotted one (stuck with pitch 11, out of the way, lovely and quiet). Around 30 mins from Alton Towers if anyone's looking for somewhere kinda close. Highly recommended from us!

User

Just back from a lovely break with the kids. Lovely little campsite, very clean site and facilities. Got a lovely welcome, nice little shops, tearooms, playground and a little farm. Hardly saw my son, he made a friend and they played on the little park. All the children (and I) enjoyed the little farm which is great for very young children. A beautiful place, would definitely recommend. Thank you.

User

It's just the perfect place for my toddler she absolutly loved it! The one place where parents can just sit back and relax whilst the kids go mad in the beach and park section and then feed some animals! The animals are so friendly as well they came right to the fence and let you stroke them, can tell there looked after so well! Can't wait for the next sunny day we will be there all day!

User

I went to Staden Grange a couple of weeks ago for a weekend away.

Upon arrival we were made to feel very welcome by Alistair who checked us in and even arranged a dinner reservation for us on the evening (The Royal Oak Inn - extensive menu and great service. Alistair's tip on the large portion sizes was spot on).

The room was spacious, well equipped (the slippers were a lovely touch & the hairdryer was fab!) and excellent value for money. Breakfast was included as part of our booking and it did not disappoint.

The lounge area kept us entertained on the night with board games and a pool table.

The only thing to fault was how thin the walls were between our room and the room next to us although this was only on our 2nd nights stay, but that did not detract too much from what is an excellent place to stay.

We will definitely come back for a future visit :)

User

Fantastic site, great little play area and the petting farm next door. 2 mile walk through mostly fields to Buxton and 10 minutes drive to Bakewell. Nice clean toilets, area for a good old school campfire. Lovely being in amongst the trees. Stayed with two children, 5 and 7 months.

User

Called into Archie's Farm on a whim after finding a leaflet in the pavilion at Buxton, we were pleasantly surprised! Entrance fee was reasonable and it was a lovely little farm park with plenty to do for younger kids. It was the perfect size for our three year old to explore without getting to tired of walking and the staff were very friendly, helping us to feed the pigs and the alpacas. Our daughter loved the playhouse and thought it was hilarious when a donkey chewed on my cardigan (my own fault for leaning in!) great day had by all, such a lovely spot.xx
