Stag And Rainbow Beefeater

Visited numerous times, and Went for my birthday , although we enjoyed the meal, steak done just as requested, disappointed that the pictures of the new meals were not on the menu which was the reason for choosing the Stag! The waitress was a little gem, explained how the choice of menu worked with money off vouchers as against the two courses for £14.99. She was very considerate and had an excellent manner. Unfortunately I didn't get her name. Staff seem to be very stretched and hard working.

The food was great! Breakfast was perfect thank you. The serving times in Restaurant are brilliant.

My husband and I were on a weekend break and we were staying at a local inn. It was Mother's day and we had set off on our day out forgetting to book a table for our evening meal. Half way back to the inn at 7 pm we remembered that we had no where to go to for our dinner. As we travelled along the road I saw the Beefeater Stag and Rainbow and pulled into the carpark on the off chance that we could get a bite to eat at the establishment.The welcome we had was exceptional, nothing was too much trouble. The assistant manager found us a table even though the restaurant was already fully booked. The waitress Sharon attended our requirements with utmost friendliness but professionalism and the food was delicious and hot which went down a treat on the cold night. We would definitely recommend a trip to this Beefeater and will call again when we come back to visit Liverpool. Well done Stag and Rainbow, 10 �'s.

WAitress friendly and efficient. Food order taken and didn’t have to wait as long as I expected. Meals too big for my son and husband. Service much better than at home! Seen some negative comments but can’t see anything to complain about on our visit. Keep up the great work!

I have stayed in many premier inns and eaten at many Beefeater restaurants.. I have to say this is the nicest one I’ve ever been to.. apart from the food being fresh, hot and absolutely delicious (believe me I’ve eaten a few plastic steaks in my time), the staff couldn’t be more helpful and they certainly make you feel welcome. Everything seems to run like clockwork, everyone has a role and you couldn’t ask for friendlier people.. especially Jean with the lovely pink hair! What a lovely person.. I am still sitting here enjoying a glass of lovely red wine and I might even have another one as it’s such a lovely atmosphere!

Didn’t book a table. It was a spare of the moment visit .arrived to find it was really busy we were told there was no tables till 8.30 pm... another member of staff approached us and went above and beyond to seat us and serve us food there and then ..can’t fault anything about this place . Clean ..nice food ..the prices are very reasonable and the staff are very very friendly and accommodating ..10 outta 10 for this place.

Didn't have a starter, but the main was beautiful we had 18oz Porterhouse steak which was succulent and tender, I had the Salmon which was perfect and no bones. We had chocolate brownies and ice cream and 3 pieces of mini cake with a jug of custard for pudding. The staff and service is excellent they are very attentive, also the prices are reasonable too.

Booked a table for 8 of us (one in a very large wheelchair). When we got there it was obvious that the wheelchair wasn't going to fit at our reserved table. No problems, the staff sorted it in 2mins by moving us and the chair was fitted in easily. Food was good and the service could not be faulted. Would recommend! � Thanks to all.

We only had mains but they were good. A bit pricy for a family. There were 6 of us, one course, 4 alcoholic drinks and 4 soft drinks and it came to just under £120.

Booked last minute for last minute celebration, only waited 5 minutes for table to be ready after arriving, waited on straight away, starters arrived within 10 mins, piping hot and main within 5 mins of finishing starter, puds arrived 5-10 mins after finished main all lovely, waitress so helpful, not been here in around 15 years but will defo be going back again soon

My Aunties Tuna steak was so over cooked it was like rubber and my Mum steak was also very tough.

We left and went to The Sefton instead - much better food and cheaper!

Table was booked for 7.30pm, seated on time however at 8.15 we had to attract the attention of one of the staff to take our order. No courtesy check, 2 meals were Inedible, saw a manager who took them off the bill. Table was left littered with glasses and plates. No dessert or coffee offered. Not a good experience after a 500 mile round trip for our friends. Very disappointed. ��

We went for an 30th anniversary meal for our parents the staff where polite the service was very slow and the food was awful I was very surprised as this is not the normal situation at this restaurant but I was very disappointed with the food and the attitude of the kitchen staff however the duty manager was very good and dealt with the situation as best she could as we where not the only customers who where very unhappy I spoke to the general manager and he explained what caused the issue and was very apologetic I am not sure I want to return and I certainly wouldn’t recommend the food to anyone at the moment
