The best pork pie I've eaten was in Cononley village at a tiny butcher's shop years ago...and this was very close. A fresh hot pork pie and a warm lamb & mint pie eaten outside in the fresh Skipton air...this place is what hand pies are about...really top notch food :)

Super Butchers and the Pork Pies are amazing. Well worth a visit if you are in Yorkshire...

Simply the best hot pork pies I've ever had... Lovely thin pastry, excellent succulent meat filling surrounded by hot runny juice aka jelly when cold...

Recommended to us while staying in Skipton, came home with some for the freezer! delicious!

On a recommendation we visited the shop and the warm pork pies were absolutely delicious! Did not disappoint! First day of the diet went out the window!! �

I noticed this shop as I drove into Skipton for a day visit, so having parked the car I re=traced my steps to see what was available. Being partial to Pork Pies in general I decided that one of their warm pork pies would go down a treat for my lunch by the canal. It was amazing. Really crisp, perfect pastry and very tasty, slightly peppery filling of top class pork and some lovely warm jelly that dribbled down my chin and onto my tee shirt. Next visit will be with my cool box to take some home. If you think you have already tasted the best pork pie in the country, try one from here. I will be back.

Had the best sausage rolls ever and the pork and apple pies what can I say just Devine

Had steak, sausages, bacon, Barnsley chop, pork pie, traditional pasty and a custard tart - they were all fantastic!

Forget Morecambe Bay shrimps, Bury black pudding and Blackpool rock.

If I was on death row then stanforths pork pies would be on my wish list. One word of caution though, roll up your shirt sleeves otherwise you will be covered the juices.

Brought some medium Stand Pies back to West Sussex from my last foray oop north. Absolutely amazing. As was the Pie and Peas I ate outside the shop. Will definitely use the online shop too.

Bought some lamb and mint pies to take home and pork pies which they serve nice and hot and sat on a bench to eat them for lunch. Done this every time i have visited Skipton and will no doubt be back, these pies are absolutely delicious. Best pie shop around by far. A+++++

Bought a whole load of Pork chops, Barnsley chops and Rib Eye and a whole load of other meat, now as I write this review, this rib eye is the best I've tasted out of Skipton! I'm coming back for more that is for sure.

Since tasting my 1st Stanforths I try pork pies on my travels where ever I go and have not even found an equal. I put about 2 stone on while working in Skipton and eating pork pies for breakfast every morning.

Been visiting this place since I was a lad, I've now got my kids hooked. Definitely still the best by far.

As always excellent, warm pies. On a day out and for a quick lunch you can't beat some warm gravy running down you chin ....

Visiting Skipton and decided to call in. A grey haired gentleman was serving on, I asked him if he had any savoury ducks. He said "we haven't sold savoury ducks for over 3 years" I said "OK" I was just about to buy a stand pie when he piped up " that's the reason we don't sell them if you only come every 3 years" I left the shop without buying a pie, he said to a gentleman in the shop " every 3 years is no good to me" miserable old sod. I go every time I visit Skipton but not any more, I bought a stand pie at another butchers, it was very very tasty
